WICHITA, Kan. -- Dr. George Tiller, a Kansas man who became one of the most famous figures in the national debate over abortion, was shot and killed at his church Sunday morning, KAKE-TV reported.
Tiller was walking into Reformation Lutheran Church at 10:03 a.m., when he was shot.
Tiller was pronounced dead when emergency crews arrived, the station reported.
Police were looking for a blue Ford Taurus with a K-State vanity plate, license number 225 BAB. Police described him as a white male in his 50's or 60's, 6'1," 220 lbs, wearing a white shirt and dark pants.
This will do for Obama the same thing that Timothy McVeigh did for Clinton, marginalize his opponents as extremists in the public mind and shut down the developing scrutiny .
Sounds like a post-birth abortion to me.
See post #15.
You, also, are entitled to your opinion. Equivocators and appeasers have something to say, too....Pardon me if it falls on deaf ears.
Show me the link. Do you mean this?
I referenced that thread in reply #1 above.
That thread was one sentence long. I posted this thread because it contains a lot more info.
Right now, a search shows this thread and the one just mentioned.
It’s too bad the suspect didn’t poke a roto rooter through his skull and then suck him into a vacuum cleaner instead of just shooting the bastard.
Like they were not going to try this anyway.Come on.
Bad news. Tiller’s now a martyr and all pro-lifers are dangerous gun- nuts.
It’s a bad end for a bad man; and it’s a bad thing. Immoral is immoral, murder is murder, a wrong doesn’t cancel a wrong.
My, my, that idea just scares me to death. I guess I should be a damned hypocrite and say that I'm sorry someone offed the lousey ration of skunksqueeze.
Not in this life.
I have a feeling his office may be closed tomorrow morn. And that's a good thing.
But this is a lose/lose situation. It was not right for anyone to have killed anyone.
...quick somebody nudge IMissPresidentReagan...she’s got the hiccups....
What galls me most is the article. The article describes this guy as a “late term abortion provider.”
Why not label the doctor what he was, a partial birth abortion provider? The man committed infanticide, legally.
And, yes, I agree with you, this will have a bad ending for us abortion opponents.
Due to the innocuous euphemism used to describe what this doctor engaged in, there will be no sympathy for abortion foes.
My mom is a “right to choose” person. Yet, even she thinks partial birth abortion is an atrocity. Most people agree that partial birth abortion is infanticide.
Instead, the press will portray this doctor as a paragon of community spirit, family values and work ethic.
The spin already started with this article.
Would we have mourned at the murder of those who ran Auschwitz ?
Nor do I here. But I will say a prayer for his departed soul that perhaps, somehow, he may find rest.
Whether he will be judged as a murderer by God may be an open question, and none of us know the answer.
In 1942 Reinhard Heydrich was killed in Prague in cold blood. Czech commandos committed what was by the law of the land murder. They were from a country that had surrendered and they were not in uniform. They did this because he was orchestrating the destruction of the Czech people. Did they kill a tyrant or commit murder or both? There is also the case of course of John Brown and slavery.
Yes we must obey our laws, until we can no longer live with the result of not obeying them.
It sure changed his.
Apart from the many children that will now not be killed by *him* (which is obviously a *good* thing) tell me how his martyrdom (and you can be sure that that's the word the abortion lovers will use) will *help* the pro life cause.
I could give you a dozen major reasons why it will *hurt* the cause...overall...particularly with a Maoist like Hussein in the WH and RATS like Bella Pelosi in charge of Congress.
A most excellent post.
You do? I expect they're already receiving calls from prospective "investors".
