As I posted to MayflowerMadam on the other thread:
The purpose of THIS THREAD is to solicit SIGN IDEAS and post the most current information about this event, as it becomes available.I’ve sent emails to the Republican group as well — for verification that this is actually happening, and have not had any response...I am fairly confident that it **is** going to happen.But the Simi Valley group was not expecting to get so much attention, having planned this event since LONG before Sarah Palin's recent surprise announcement -- so they are hunkering down, and are not quite sure WHAT to do now.
Since we believe that MANY people will want to support Sarah -- and for whatever reason (i.e., the high cost and/or availability of tickets) will not be able to go to the dinner -- the L.A. Chapter is working on a way to help them still support Sarah, ANY WAY that we can.For now, the plan is for us to gather along the road at the entrance to the Reagan Library -- with AMERICAN FLAGS, and positive signs -- to show our support.
My suggestion for bumper stickers.
I can’t find anywhere if she has confirmed.
IF she is there, I think the idea of having her supporters lining the high way, (or entrance) holding American Flags and signs of support is a wonderful idea!
As Danny Kaye says to Bing Crosby in ‘White Christmas’ when he finds out the idea Bing has to help their retired General, “I think the idea is totally insane, and I wish I would have thought of it first!”
So, I wish I could help, but I don’t live in California, so I’ll just write another check to SarahPAC.............

You can bet that looney Lefties will show up to try and spoil the event, just like they did at the Van Nuys Tea Party and Santa Monica Tea Party in April. They never understand the concept of being outnumbered. Be prepared.

That is quite a coup, getting Palin for their yearly fundraiser. I'm an associate member of the FRW (editor/publisher of the Hollywood Hilltoppers newsletter, a wee group by comparison to the Simi bunch) - so I'm well acquainted with many of the clubs and members.
The hook that the Simi club has is the Reagan Library - which has helped them rope in great speakers. More power to them! ~big grin~
A side-note, in the past the FRW was far too liberal from my point of view, but that has slowly changed over the last few years. With conservatism being more predominant now, a FRW club is a good place for women (and a few males too) who want to get 'more involved' in matters political.

We may not get "up close and personal" with Governor Palin -- like the folks who pay $150 each to go to DINNER with here...
..but, we will be with the MEDIA, who also cannot get inside -- helping to SHAPE their reporting. :o)And, who knows -- Sarah might see so many of us cheering her on from the street outside the Library, that she stops by to say "Hi!" to us!That is OUR mission.
