An anthropologist has described modern man as the sorriest cohort of masculine Homo sapiens to ever walk the planet, with even Arnold Schwarzenegger at his muscular peak no match for a Neanderthal woman in the arm-wrestling stakes.
According to Peter McAllister, in Manthropology: the Science of Inadequate Modern Man, so completely wussy have we become that were Usain "Lightning" Bolt to go head-to-head with an ancient Australian aboriginal, it'd be silver medal position for the Jamaican sprinter.
The prologue of McAllister's book warns blokes just how much of a humiliation they're in for, opening with: "If you're reading this then you - or the male you have bought it for - are the worst man in history. No ifs, no buts - the worst man, period.
Chaps are then reminded that a Roman soldier was able to march one-and-a-half marathons in a single day, Rwandan Tutsi men could jump higher then the current world record of 2.45 metres, and Huichol Indian dads in Mexico tied strings to their 'nads so that their other half could give a quick tug during labour enabling them to share the childbirth experience.

Turn your head and cough.
aRnold has a big muscle in his head, but he never uses it.
Any truth to this?
Yes, but how many of those ancients got to experience the unique pain of peeing on an electric fence?
...yeah, well, I can do calculus.
Let’s for a moment say this is accurate, that we’re pathetic weaklings. So what? Everyone already knows other animals are bigger, fiercer, faster, and stronger than us. We could never whoop a bear or chase down a wolf.
What’s special about us, and what makes us the lords of all creation and the mightiest beings yet born to earth, is our brains. If a neaderthal woman could out arm-wrestle me, so be it. I could just shoot her and be done with it. Who’s that man now? Who outlasted who?
Could a Roman soldier punch a bullet? I don’t think so.
I agree with you. There’s no way I am buying any of this bovine scatology. Let’s go back to the 1850s, with frontier people and mountain folk in the hills of Tennessee and N. Carolina making their living off the land just as I imagine Neanderthals doing; these people were lean mean fighting machines not muscle bound behemoths.
This is just headline grabbing nonsense. Arnold at his peak could have snapped these people like twigs.
Well we all know who won THAT battle.
In a way yes. Brain power is much more important than brawn in modern society. Lots of diseases and chronic conditions that killed people in the past have been vaccaniated against, treatable or manageable. The human race has elminiated nature’s sieves for eliminating the weak, diseased and those with poor constitutions.
Damn....I want to see her take on ArNold...
Natural selection in action....Nukes will fix THAT problem....
I swaer the people that pass for scientists these days should just keep their yaps shut. They sound dumber and dumber by the day.
Calculus?! HA! I did that while hanging velvet drapes. Floor to ceiling. For nearly an hour. Call yourself a man?
To be serious for a second (which takes work) once again scientists who do not believe in God are desperately trying to tell us that we are not the same as our ancestors. They are wrong. We are just as strong and just as weak, just as smart and just as dumb, created in God image, unable to follows God’s laws. Civilizations and cultures rise due to hard work and ethics, and fall due to laziness and immorality.
Luckily, no one will ever use nukes again. Our President has fixed that problem. Besides, you can't nuke anyone because of Miranda rights, due process, rules of engagement ... not to mention the environmental impact studies that would be required ... Oh!! And the effects on climate change!! Has the U.N. approved? How much do you have to pay in carbon offsets to set off a nuke?
LOL!
I forgot about all of that.
I am not...am I?...do you think?
Raquel Welch was HOT. She appeared in an episode of McHale’s Navy and my eyeballs nearly popped out of my skull.
Maybe this writer, McAllister is just looking in the mirror.
Agreed...not sure we have a current counterpart...or maybe my hormones aren’t at the same level...that was just a few years ago!
Modern Male: Worst Man in History
******************************************EXCERPT*******************************************

Australian anthropologist Peter McAllister states in his new book that modern males are the worst men in history. When it comes to physical prowess, the modern male just wont stand up to his Neanderthal counterpart. Blame it on all the chemicals that have surreptitiously crept into modern mans diet, as well as his relative inactivity, affecting his ability to be hale and robust.
According to McAllister, in his book Manthropology: The Science of the Inadequate Modern Male, These people were much more robust, but we wouldnt want to go back to the brutality of those days. No ifs, no buts the worst man, period As a class we are in fact the sorriest cohort of masculine Homo sapiens to ever walk the planet. Perhaps, while ancient man could boast of his physical strength, he hasnt found the definition of right attitude. Would you, then, rather have a comparatively tender wimp?
Many prehistoric Australian aboriginals could have outrun world 100 and 200 meters record holder Usain Bolt in modern conditions. He based his conclusions about the speed of Australian aboriginals 20,000 years ago on a set of footprints, preserved in a fossilized claypan lake bed, of six men chasing prey. There are holdovers, however, as some Tutsi men in Rwanda exceeded the current world high jump record of 2.45 meters during initiation ceremonies in which they had to jump at least their own height to progress to manhood.
