(See all these news nuggets and more by clicking the excerpt link below):

1. BBC News: “Darwin Teaching ‘Divides Opinion’”

Darwinism is a controversial topic, and many believe creation should be taught in the classroom. But why is that news?

2. ScienceDaily: “Junk DNA Mechanism that Prevents Two Species from Reproducing Discovered”

Has the U.S. government finally supported creationist research? Alas, no, but the results of a National Institutes of Health study fit squarely within the young-earth creation framework.

3. PhysOrg: “Charles Darwin Really Did Have Advanced Ideas about the Origin of Life”

Charles Darwin was convinced that life’s origin didn’t involve a creator, even though there was no (and still is no) scientific explanation of how life could have begun without one.

4. The Times: “Skull of Huge Sea Monster that Could Have Eaten T. rex Found in Dorset”

Was the skull of an ancient Leviathan found in Dorset?

5. LiveScience: “Sea Creature’s Amazing Eyes Could Inspire New DVD Players”

Genesis 1 makes no mention of DVD players, of course, and we’re certainly not saying God had such technology in mind when He designed sea life. But mantis shrimp have “the most complex vision systems known to science” that, reportedly, may one day inspire better DVD players.

6. And Don’t Miss . . .

“Darwinism is a controversial topic, and many believe creation should be taught in the classroom. But why is that news?”

So why do you keep posting this stuff in News/Activism?

Did you happen to catch the title? Did you happen to read the article you are drawing attention to?

“...a global majority believes Darwinism shouldn’t have exclusive reign in science classes on life’s origin.”

Sorry pal, that’s news to both the Christian Right and the Temple of Darwin alike.

PS Get used to it.

What is that supposed to mean exactly? Most people certainly find it news that after decades of DoDo (Darwin only, Darwin only) brainwashing, a majority in virtually every country polled still thinks that the main alternatives to Darwood’s evo-atheist creation myth should be presented. Most people also find it news that the Temple of Darwin is crumbling under the massive weight of scientific falsification. Indeed, it has gotten so bad for Darwin's fanciful materialist creation myth that even the evos are abandoning the HMS Beagle in a search for a new God-denying evolutionary ship.

It seems to me that it isn't so much that you think that this isn't news, it's that you are afraid for this news to get out. Unfortunately for anti-science, Darwiniac, Luddites, history shows that progress in science cannot be stopped...even if said progress means overturning Darwood’s evo-religious creation myth.
