Romney accuses Obama of not protecting troops
CNN - Political Ticker ^ | 2009-11-14

WASHINGTON (CNN) – Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney delivered a scathing criticism of President Obama's Afghanistan strategy Friday night, accusing the president of delivering rhetoric and not action in the war-torn country.

Quoting from a speech Obama delivered in March, Romney agreed with the president "that 'we are in Afghanistan to confront a common enemy that threatens the United States, our friends and allies."' Romney continued on seconding the president: "I believe 'that to succeed, we and our friends and allies must reverse the Taliban's gains, and promote a more capable and accountable Afghan government.'"

Do you always make things up?

ROMNEY WANTED SOCIALIZED MEDICINE BECAUSE ROMNEY RAPES COMPANIES
and THEY LOSE THEIR HEALTH INSURANCE.

Yup, your private little piggie Romney did it for .... himself.

PROOF RomneyCARE is a Disaster (and he is clueless)

“Republicans warn: Rationing medicine has already begun
But in a joint opinion piece called "Govt.-Run Health Care Isn't the Answer," published
in the online version of The Advocate, a leading homosexual magazine, Sen. Tom
Coburn, R-Okla., and GOProud's Christopher R. Barron warned the homosexual
community that the Ryan White CARE Act has already demonstrated how government-
run health care has introduced rationing and waiting lists and cost the lives of the people under its provisions.”

"Paying the Health Tax in Massachusetts [Romneycare]
Massachusetts requires every resident to have health insurance, and this
year, without informing us directly, the state had changed the rules in a way that made
our bare-bones policy no longer acceptable. Unless we ponied up for a pricier policy we
neither need nor want—or enrolled in a government-sponsored insurance plan—we
would have to pay $1,000 each year to the state.

Health care in Massachusetts: a warning for America [Romney brings Mass. to its knees]
The Bay State's mandatory insurance law is raising costs, limiting access, and lowering care.

Three years ago, Massachusetts adopted a plan requiring all residents to purchase health
insurance, with state subsidies for lower-income residents. But rather than creating a
utopia of high-quality affordable healthcare, the result has been the exact opposite –
skyrocketing costs, worsened access, and lower quality care."

The truth is beginning to come out. You worked for a company that Romney acquired and trimmed out the fat. You found yourself unimployed and uninsured.

Now that you have found a better job, you should forget the unpleasantries of the past.

You are as psychotic as Obama and Romney.

And by the way, Romney "raped" Massachusetts like he "raped" those companies.

Never forget that looking backwards, backstabber Mitt Romney
was a piss-poor Governor. Romney got a "C" rating from CATO. And that was BEFORE
Romney's Socialized medicine and coverup of the BIGdig kicked in. Here are the facts from CATO.

"As U.S. real output grew 13 percent between 2002 and 2006, Massachusetts trailed at 9 percent.
* Manufacturing employment fell 7 percent nationwide those years, but sank 14 percent under Romney, placing Massachusetts 48th among the states.
* Between fall 2003 and autumn 2006, U.S. job growth averaged 5.4 percent, nearly three times Massachusetts' anemic 1.9 percent pace.
* While 8 million Americans over age 16 found work between 2002 and 2006, the number of employed Massachusetts residents actually declined by 8,500 during those years.
"Massachusetts was the only state to have failed to post any gain in its pool of employed residents," professors Sum and McLaughlin concluded.
In an April 2003 meeting with the Massachusetts congressional delegation in Washington, Romney failed to endorse President Bush's $726 billion tax-cut proposal."

[Cato Institute annual Fiscal Policy Report Card - America's Governors, 2004.]

Romney, destroying families, states, and ideas everywhere he carpetbags.

I missed your sarcasm because I didn't get the point.

Romney and his family are unique. Some people enlist and some don't but within families there is a mixture of those that serve or members that served in particular wars or at least members that have been drafted at points in history, but not the Romneys, yet father, and now son fight to become Commander in Chief during war time.

No Romney man has ever served the United States of America in the military, ever, it is a perfect unbroken record, just one of those five sons could break that streak, but I think the family is devoted to that record of non service.

No Romney man has ever served the United States military even though they arrived here to serve the Mormon church before the Civil War.

Romney was living in France during the Vietnam war with a religious deferment granted by the Mormon church while his father was running as the anti-war, Republican candidate for President in 1968.

To quote Mitt Romney on gays in the military: "One issue I want to clarify concerns President Clinton’s “don’t ask, don’t tell, don’t pursue” military policy. I believe that the Clinton compromise was a step in the right direction. I am also convinced that it is the first of a number of steps that will ultimately lead to gays and lesbians being able to serve openly and honestly in our nation’s military. That goal will only be reached when preventing discrimination against gays and lesbians is a mainstream concern, which is a goal we share."

Have the Romneys changed? Well, to quote Mitt Romney again: “one of the ways my sons are showing support for our nation is helping to get me elected.”

Keeping up the Romney tradition of never serving, five sons of military age.

I never found one and unlikely, remember Romney chose his own wife when she was 16 and he was in college, Mitt’s father, the Governor of Michigan and one of the biggest figures of the 1960s, handled the conversion of the teen girl himself while Mitt was living in Bordeaux, France because of the draft during the Vietnam War (Mitt needed a missionary deferment). Mitt flew home to the United States shortly before the Tet Offensive to marry his now Mormon bride and newest member of the powerful Michigan? Utah? Massachusetts? or whatever, family.

What we see in Obama is exactly what we'd see in Mitt Romney, were he elected.

Take the recent race in New York. Romney waited to weigh in until all possible risk was completely past.

Romney is a coward who waits and consults pollsters before he makes the smallest decision. Just like Obama.

I'll take Romney over Obama any day.

What's the difference?

Both are for socialized medicine.

Both are for abortion in demand.

Both are anti-Second Amendment.

Both appoint liberal judges.

Neither served in the military.

In fact, Romney has gone out of his way to denigrate those who served. According to Mitt, his sons serve out nation by riding around in a Winnebago and staying in first class hotels.

So, rhetoric aside (you know, the stuff Romney says versus what he's done), how are they vastly different?

Both are more interested in polls than leadership.

The difference is in the degree. One is a moderate republican with capitalistic tendencies and the other is a ultra far left socialist with anarchist tendencies.

To my way of thinking, you could not have said anything more damning had you tried.

We do not need a leader who has capitalistic "tendencies". We need someone who is a dyed-in-the-wool, committed capitalist because they carry in them a deep understanding that capitalism is one of the keys to freedom.

Likewise, we don't need someone who says "I support the Second Amendment, then has a long, detailed list of how they don't support the Second Amendment.

Or how they're very much against ____, then details a long list of times they are for ____. Romney has a long, fabled history of being against things before he was for them. Principled people do change their minds occasionally. No principled & sane person could possibly change it as many times as he has.

We desperately need a President who is deeply committed to the United States and her citizenry, to capitalism, and to freedom.

Mitt Romney is deeply committed to... Mitt Romney.

He says it is a good model. That is correct.

So now you are praising Romneycare, eh?

I think the Republicans and conservatives can't just say what is wrong with the Demo plan or the MA plan. They have to say what their solution to the problem is.

I don't want either Republican or Democrat "solutions" since they all involve more government!

The only "solution" to health care is to get the Feds out of it entirely...and yes, that means phasing out Medicare/Medicaid!
