Rapid Rifting Presages Future Events
ICR News ^ | November 19, 2009 | Brian Thomas, M.S.

Posted on 11/19/2009 8:22:01 AM PST by GodGunsGuts

The Great Rift Valley extends some 4,000 miles southward from Syria north of Israel, through the Gulf of Aqaba, through Ethiopia, and all the way to Mozambique in southeast Africa. It harbors a giant fault, which has been under investigation as a model for sea floor spreading. A recent geologic event rent a gaping crack through the desert of Ethiopia, causing safety concerns for locals. These crustal plate motions may foreshadow rifting events further north in the Great Rift Valley...

Not to be confused with Rapid Rafting:

The Rochester paper only addresses the linearity, not the parametric nature of the process.

1) It states nothing of the sigma, x-bar, R, and lambda of the process.

2) Define "suddenly" in geologic terms and opine on whether this is a continuous process or if there exists a significant time interval between "sudden" events.

3) Explain why we should all accept is evidence of or proof that all historic tectonic activity occurred in the last 6,000 to 10,000 years (+ 4 days).

note: Brian Thomas and the IRC is hardly a reliable, objective source of anything o be posted even once.

"Might we be witnessing another creation event?"

If anything it ought to be in the Religion Forum and not in News/Activism. Today's spin is linking the exact same Rochester University study as referenced yesterday to biblical prophecy.

Is Lyin' Brian Thomas MS* (aka BTMS*) so stupid that he can't come up with something new to write about the next day?

Earth to BTMS*....why would evidence of rapid rifting predict that the Kidron Valley would lrift in 2....when there is no rifting going on at the Kidron Valley and it was not created BY rifting?

...and I do love how BTMS* takes a 4 word phrase from a researcher.....and then fills in a paragraph with BTMS* nonsense like that is what the researcher was saying.

"...and I do love how BTMS* takes a 4 word phrase from a researcher.....and then fills in a paragraph with BTMS* nonsense"

But you are forgetting that of the 26 letters in the English alphabet 24 appear multiple times in both Genesis and the Rochester article so therefore the coefficient of correlation between the two is greater than 0.92. Therefore, Brian Thomas is only completing the work that God started......LOL

That doesn't mean GGG. That means the evos who keep RAGGING on where they think anything that they perceive as anti-science or non-science belongs.
