Raising the Banner for Creation Truth (according to the evos, these men and women aren't scientists)
ICR ^ | December 2009 | Various Authors

Posted on 12/07/2009 8:33:19 AM PST by GodGunsGuts

Dr. Henry M. Morris founded the Institute for Creation Research in 1970 with a vision to uncover and present evidence for the accuracy and authority of the Bible. For almost 40 years, ICR has distinguished itself as the leader in creation science research and education, ably assisted by the many fine scientists whom God has led to work here. These men and women have dedicated their training and skills to raising the banner for the truth of our Creator God. We would like you to meet our current on-site scientists and hear their thoughts on the purpose, significance, and importance of the creation science research they do...

“according to evos these men are not scientists”

It does not matter what evos say, but with regard to any discussion of “origins” nothing is science; not creationaism, evolution, or “intelligent design.”

I have no truck with any of these so-called “sciences” and have addressed specifically some of the faults of evolution here:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2401818/posts?page=132#132

None of these men are scientists when addressing the issue of origins. What they are in other disciplines is irrelevant.

Oh that’s what is happening IMO, it’s the simplest answer. Occam’s razor and all.

Hey, I was trying to give ‘em a break...even though the “scientists” somehow believe Man lived with all the dinosuars 4532 years ago.

Indeed...

Look, we all know what GGG’s threads are all about by now. If you don’t like that sort of thing, the adult thing to do would be to simply avoid them.

Merry CHRISTmas, as well.

It's not all aspects of the ToE that are the issue. I don't think that any creationist I've ever heard from has a problem with variation within species and natural selection. Even the creationist sites that GGG posts from don't deny it.

What most creationists don't accept is that enough change is possible over enough time to cause the wide variety of life we see on the planet today, speciation, as it were.

Differences in the interpretation of the fossil record really seems to really irk some people for some reason.

He even created the duck billed platypus for a reason.

Just to keep us on our toes?

“Just like evolution, it’s one of God’s greatest creations.”

Do you believe that God created through evolution? Just curious because this is not the perception that I had from reading some of your other posts. Thanks for FR and Merry CHRISTmas!

The vast majority of those here on FR believe that “God created through evolution”... Just not the never ending posts from the functional scientific equivalent of “The Onion” that GGG posts ad nauseum.

I’ve heard some say yes and some say no, but I have no idea. And no reason to question God either way. As I said, He works in mysterious ways.

I also believe that evolution is one of God's greatest creations. I am a scientist and, like most other scientists in the USA, am a person with faith in God, doing my small part in my own way to reveal the grandeur of life utilizing the reason that God has bequeathed to us.

Not to quibble, but I won $20 off my dad on the exact wording of the “do or die” vs “do and die” phrase, thus I have NEVER forgotten it, as my dad is usually right, right wing, and right-on!

The Charge Of The Light Brigade

by Alfred, Lord Tennyson

Memorializing Events in the Battle of Balaclava, October 25, 1854
Written 1854

Half a league half a league,
Half a league onward,
All in the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred:
‘Forward, the Light Brigade!
Charge for the guns’ he said:
Into the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.

‘Forward, the Light Brigade!’
Was there a man dismay’d ?
Not tho’ the soldier knew
Some one had blunder’d:
Theirs not to make reply,
Theirs not to reason why,
Theirs but to do & die,
Into the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.

Cannon to right of them,
Cannon to left of them,
Cannon in front of them
Volley’d & thunder’d;
Storm’d at with shot and shell,
Boldly they rode and well,
Into the jaws of Death,
Into the mouth of Hell
Rode the six hundred.

Flash’d all their sabres bare,
Flash’d as they turn’d in air
Sabring the gunners there,
Charging an army while
All the world wonder’d:
Plunged in the battery-smoke
Right thro’ the line they broke;
Cossack & Russian
Reel’d from the sabre-stroke,
Shatter’d & sunder’d.
Then they rode back, but not
Not the six hundred.

Cannon to right of them,
Cannon to left of them,
Cannon behind them
Volley’d and thunder’d;
Storm’d at with shot and shell,
While horse & hero fell,
They that had fought so well
Came thro’ the jaws of Death,
Back from the mouth of Hell,
All that was left of them,
Left of six hundred.

When can their glory fade?
O the wild charge they made!
All the world wonder’d.
Honour the charge they made!
Honour the Light Brigade,
Noble six hundred!
