Medina admitted shes a TRUTHER on Beck

Posted on 02/11/2010 8:26:49 AM PST by BornToBeAmerican

Who listened to Debra Medina on Beck and came away disgusted. She basically admitted that she is a 911 Truther.

Her run has ended

I like it and when I saw the pic my first thought was it looked like a mugshot.
LOL, I couldn't resist.

A truther believes that the government was behind 911.

The scary thing is this happened pretty late in the campaign.

Its because some people get so caught up in being anti this or anti that, they will embrace anything that seems to also be anti, even if it means setting aside rational thought.

At least then we know we can look forward to Perry’s continued efforts to grab our farms for that Spanish toll road company

It's going to be a loooong 4 years. *sigh*.

Just for clarification, she didn’t exactly admit to being a Truther; just said she believed that there are those who have raised “valid questions” on the subject.

That's even worse in my opinion. Any sane person would immediately reject such a notion. Period.

That’s because they just jumped on a bandwagon without checking on the person themselves. I love the tea party but we have a responsibility to vote intelligently, with knowledge, not just anybody that shows up.

This is exactly what Beck has been saying. The Tea Party has now presented opportunities for people that we know nothing about and that we had better look deeply into who they really are before throwing our support their way.

I said up above ...

Well, Phil Berg is a truther, too...

Then you replied ...

I am NOT a Truther by any stretch, but you're trying to lump EVERYONE together with the Extremes of their party.

Ummmm..., Phil is that you?! I didn't know you were posting on Free Republic... :-)

Based on what I’d been hearing from some Texans, she seemed more like a Infiltrator designed to fracture the GOP vote.

A Ron Paul supporter AND a Truther?

I’d been open to Medina, owing to still feeling a bit stung over some of Perry’s history (trans-TX corridor; too weak on illegals). But Medina’s ties with Ron Paul made me awfully suspicious. Not that I’m actually as anti-Paul as some people around here, but man, he sure attracts nutburgers like flies.

Oh, well. Perry it is. And in actuality, Texas has been managed pretty well over these past few years, when so many other states have become fiscal basket-cases. Turns out Palin was spot-on with her endorsement.

I had just started looking into it, too, based on her reported polling surge.

That was one hell of an interview. Shocking! There is no way she will get my vote.

It was clear what she meant. It wasn’t equivocal.

Oh crap - Perry is into something and I don’t know what - but the vacinne deal and the TTC looked like a pay off and nobody will be surprised when a news story breaks. Kay would be OK in a state where the gov has so little real power. What a pair of bad choices - stay at home still exists, but I hate that one.

Yeah, I can see that for the Tea Party Movement. It's easy to be used as a "label" by some who want an easy-way-in to a political office, and they use a "populist movement" (without a lot of checks and balances built-into it) to "sneak in" and get a bunch of people to back them, with a lot of "buzz" from these Tea Party people -- just because a possible candidate says they are with or for the Tea Party movement.

It's an easy thing for many to take advantage of.

>> I would like to hear more from her on this before I vote for RINOs Hutchison and Perry.

No further information is really necessary. If the fact that she is entertaining the possibility that George W. Bush and Dick Cheney were complicit in the 9-11 attacks is not an immediate disqualifier for you ... I question your sanity as well.

>> [...] the The Tea Party movement is built on the concept that we are ALL individuals coming together with the common goals of Federal Fiscal Responsibility, a Limited Government, and the promotion of Free Market principles.

She may be qualified to attend Tea Party events. She’s not qualified to hold any public office ... at all ... ever.

I heard the whole thing. She could not say “NO” when asked if she believed the Federal government had a part in the 9-11 attacks.

She was also disingenuous at best (and in my opinion, dishonest) when she told Glenn, "This is the first time I've heard this" in response to his explaining that he'd received many emails describing her as a truther. I find this to be unbelievable, since she had an answer already set and the fact that so many in Texas think this of her. It must mean she has at some point been asked the question, her opinion, etc., in public forum.

It could be worse, we could be any other State in the country. We are still the best state and from what I read, most others would kill to only have the problems we complain about. We still have the lowest per-capita tax burden in the country and have fared the best during the recession.

You were saying ...

Hello? You are obsessed with after-birth mess.

No, what it shows is that if you mess around with those of the 9/11 Truthers, you get in with crazies -- and who wants crazies to be associated with opposing Obama?

Heck I don't want to be associated with crazies, while I'm opposing Obama, and have someone point out the crazies that are standing right next to me opposing Obama, too... LOL...
