Debra Medina implodes on Glenn Beck's show
Kansas City Star ^ | 2/11/10 | By Yael T. Abouhalkah, Kansas City Star Editorial Page columnist

Medina is facing off in a GOP primary with Gov. Rick Perry and U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison.

Medina's absurd comments to Beck about U.S. government involvement in 9/11 included this gem:

"I don’t have all of the evidence there, Glenn, so I’m not in a place, I have not been out publicly questioning that. I think some very good questions have been raised in that regard, there are some very good arguments and I think the American people have not seen all the evidence there, so I have not taken a position on that."

Perry and Hutchinson immediately ripped Medina for such ignorant comments

Debra Medina bit the dust! She might as well fold up her tent and go home, it’s done.....

Glenn Beck was rude and cut her off and did not ask her anything about the campaign. This was not a fair interview. This wasn’t even an interview.

I listened live on the radio this am and it was Medina who was rude. Started out reading a long dissertation on every issue she was running on, dissed Gov Perry at every chance and wouldn't let Glen get a word in edgewise.

Glen has been warning tea party voters to look carefully at candidates and not just vote for anybody who comes along. He proved his point well.

Where in the heck did I say I EVER supported 0bama??? I despise the man.

Face it. Medina imploded today and you’re having a hard time dealing with that fact.

Um...Deborah, why did not you say this in the interview?

“” have not seen any evidence nor have I ever believed that our government was involved or directed those individuals in any way.”

or better yet, just say NO!!

This is a little to late for me

Scary! I know a girl like that. One moment you’re asking a simple question and the next minute you’re looking into her medicine cabinet for the meds she must be taking. While you are scrambling around looking for the Xanax she’s answering imaginary scenarios getting more agitated by her own analysis.

“She’s a Ron Paul acolyte. She couldn’t answer Glenn’s question because she was worried about offending the large contingent of “Troofers” in her support base.”

Yeah, and Sarah Palin has endorsed Rand Paul who’s a weirdo just like his father, with the same goofy ideas. That’s two down for Sarah. Endorsing McCain and endorsing Rand Paul.

From the standpoint of rational thought, that is to say, thinking on ones feet and speaking one’s mind clearly- there was a simple answer, under fire. The answer is “NO”. Not “I’ve never been involved in the truth movement”. No qualifiers are needed.. unless your candidacy is supported by the fringe. Love Texas.. but it’s politics are Byzantine. I lost belief when she said she was a “rancher and a nurse”, that and “a grass roots Republican organizer”— tain’t no such thing. Maybe a case manager.

“Aparently those who don’t own any property and simply rent don’t realize it’s their pocket book she’s aiming to dip into.”

Rent incorporates real estate tax by necessity.

And such indirect tax is not tax deductable at the federal level, whereas Texas sales tax is deductable on your return.

So, no, this would actually help renters.

Her brand of state sovereignty is exactly what we need to be pushing.

Ron Paul Trutherism?

Sorry, that cancels any good points out.

But take heart in the fact that unlike Duncan Hines, folks at least heard of her.

They heard she SUCKS, but at least they heard.

“Sounds like there are a lot of Perry supporters on this post dishing Medina. Unfortunately for Medina, if she were in a runoff they would play this Beck interview over and over.

Politics is such a dirty game.”

You know, you’ve got a real problem. You shoot the messenger rather than hear her message. She’s a nutjob truther and she made it obvious with her own words. What is there to misconstrue, unless you of course, agree with her and are a truther also.

“Politics is such a dirty game.”

The implication is that Beck was “dirty”. In fact he was exposing the deceit.

Which part of this is unclear, Perrybots?

It has been clear to me from the beginning that Medina is a liar and this statement proves it.

Clear enough, Truther?

MEDINA: Well, there’s lots of mud that people would like to throw at Debra Medina and make stick.

“I’m not a Texan, so I don’t have a horse in the race. But just MHO. I’ve been listening to Beck since 2000 (he was our local guy back then.) He does not ask a question “accidentally.” He asked the question because he knew she’d waffle on the answer.”

Um and you knew this how? Sounds like pure speculation to me.

How come you people can not even entertain the thought that Glenn just simply wanted to bury the 911 Truther thing once and fall all. You seem to fail to realize that MANY MANY here wanted Medina to be all that we hoped she was.

She blew it and she lost my vote. Do not blame Beck for her stupidity
