Just as the healthcare drama in the capitol reaches a grand finale, congressional officials are warning employees to avoid the DRUDGE REPORT!

The Senate's Committee on Environment and Public Works issued an urgent email late Monday claiming the DRUDGE REPORT is 'responsible for the many viruses popping up throughout the Senate.'

The committee ordered hill staff: 'Try to avoid' the DRUDGE REPORT 'for now'.

On Monday DRUDGE served over 29 million pages with NOT ONE email complaint received about 'pop ups', or the site serving 'viruses'.

The site was seen 149,967 times since March 1st from users at senate.gov and 244,347 times at house.gov. [10,825 visits from the White House, eop.gov]

Ahh, it happened to me yesterday. Clicked on Drudge and immediately a window from an unknown source popped up saying a virus was detected and to "click here" blah blah blah.

No, I didn't click on anything but got out, did a virus scan, rebooted and then did a Spybot scan. A couple minor things came up on Spybot but overall a clean bill of health.

I think I dodged a bullet by NOT clicking on that window to "fix" the problem.

I envision a a committee of sub-basement located, loser, safety patrol sissyboys and super smart no sense of humor girls charged with keeping those with 1/2 of a working brain cell away from conservative talk radio or web sites.

Nerd 1:
“What about Drudge?”

Nerd 2:
“They don’t know anything about pop-up blockers. We can tell them a pop-up is a virus. Yeah, that works. Send it to the Senate and the word will spread from there.”

Nerd 1:
“This job is too easy. It is almost criminal to get paid for this. BTW, we need to spread some more about Massa. People are looking into Hikel’s (American ex-pat in Canada) associations. A few preliminary dots are being connected.”

This is so stupid. By warning them not to go to drudges’s site, more will do so. It’s like telling someone “Dont get a mental picture of .....
They will.
I guess senator reid believes he is a dictator like obama.

Goebbels used to write long treatises explaining WHY it was forbidden to listen to foreign radio broadcasts, even if you were a loyal Party member.

The more things change, the more they remain the same...

since this is the senate, and this is OBVIOUSLY A LIE, Drudge has a first amendment cause of action.

Paging the two-live-crew lawyer....

Rahm doesn’t have anything to do with how the Senate is run. I still think that, given her chairmanship, Drudge offended Queen Barbara somehow and her loyal committee staff flunkies did this.

So the government tells us not to worry about China’s cyber snooping because they’re our friends. But Drudge should be avoided. WOW!

I support and read the Drudge report.

However, yesterday I apparently DID get a trojan virus from a site Drudge pointed to. The URL was dedicated to news about Philadelphia, and concerned police raiding bars serving unlicensed beer.

Microsoft Security Essentials popped up a message saying the site had been reported as the source of malware. i went bak to Druge, clicked the URL a second time and saw the same message. Within the URL, I clicked on nothing I considered an active area. However, I may have clicked on a background area in order to let it capture the mouse, so I could scroll with the thumbwheel.

A few minutes later Microsoft Security Essentials popped up again to block a trojan. Since this never has happened before, in spite of extensive browsing, I think the virus came from the site Drudge pointed to.

I reported this to Drudge but am unsure the message got thru, as the two webforms I encountered appeared to have difficulty accepting my feedback.

Back in the 90’s the Drudge Report sent me to FR and I’ve been stuck with it ever since.

Me too. I clicked a link to continue reading an article by Pat Buchanan and wound up here. Haven't left since.

Full court press here.

To all of you that keep posting comments like, “Why are the Dems committing political suicide?”, figure it out. This is for all of the marbles. THERE WILL BE NO REMATCHES if they pass this “bill”.

Perhaps they are confusing computer viruses with
papilloma and herpesviruses from the Congressional brothels.
