As the nation's island state aims to escape the repeated requests for President Obama's birth certificate, the fringe "birther" movement sets its sights on D.C.
Hawaii has passed a bill that would allow it to ignore further "duplicative requests" by individuals and groups for Obama's birth certificate, the Associated Press reported on Wednesday.
The Pacific state has been inundated with the requests for nearly two years by those who believe Obama was not born in this country and is not eligible to be President. According to AP, they still get between 10 and 20 e-mails each week.
The bill still needs to be signed by Gov. Linda Lingle.
This comes as "birthers" reportedly plan to converge on Washington on May 29 with the Obama Care Eligibility March, claims original birther attorney Phil Berg, who runs the Web site ObamaCrimes.com. However, it is not clear how many people are actually expected to attend.

The conservative talking-heads are avoiding this so that they don’t get accused of sedition (fomenting the overturn of a legal election).
They know that their bully-pulpit on (FCC controlled) airwaves would immediately disappear. Give Glen, Rush and some of these others a little credit for “looking ahead”.
I don’t agree with them but, this isn’t really about these folks saving their paycheck. It’s more about preserving their voice and outreach to true patriots.
The millions spent to hide this is NOTHING for soros. It may be worth it to him just to make birthers look like kooks, essentially marginalizing a great number of foe.

No, it doesn’t. Even the “truth” from the Soviet archives about Soviet penetration of the U.S. in the 1950s has been ignored by the crowd perpetually opposed to Joe McCarthy, and that includes the Bushes, doesn’t it?

Michael Savage interviewed Orly Taitz at length as long ago as last summer. Rusty Humphries has had LTC Lakin's spokesperson (Margaret Hemenway) on a couple times. Even George Noory has had Philip Berg on during the '08 campaign and a few times since...how come the FCC hasn't shut them down?
These people are brave to march. They will be scolded by the media endlessly but if the crowd is big enough, it could have an impact.

Beck called anyone , like myself, who is appalled that the POTUS and CINC has a sealed birth certificate and sealed “ original vital records “ - dumb .
And the demeaning and left wing pejorative of “ birther.”
Which is no different than calling a Tea Party member a tea bagger , racist or Nazi.
He made leaps in logic which could have come right from the White House talking points.
He then ridiculed anyone who believes that Barry is being dishonest and cagey by refusing to unseal his records.
Records which most of us are required to show in the course of being an American citizen.
Or enlisting in the military.
Which is where many of us come down.
Beck is untroubled by sealed records , but, many of us are .
The fact that the CINC is sitting back and allowing Lt Col Lakin to immolate his career over his sealed birth certificate,
a birth certificate that I am sure Lt Col Lakin was required to show along his military path-should be a red flag to everyone.
Beck is giving Obama the benefit of the doubt when all indictions are that Barry is hiding something and playing loose and fast with the truth.
Which is Barry’s MO in every other area.
Beck is free to believe that Barry is suddenly being honest and truthful.
It’s Alinsky like to ridicule those of us who have gotten the measure of this slick and sick man and do not trust him ,
especially when the empirical evidence indicates otherwise.
Obama treats his birth certificate like illegals and their supporters treat showing proper ID.
He did that after the mass organized attack on him.
I'm sympathetic to the birther cause, but to organize and attack wasn't just dumb, it was stupid.

I fully agree with you on that, but it seems that many Freepers are still confused on that issue or they are just trying to perpetuate the confusion.
