Again, we see the limits of SC voters, who have such a big role in presidential nominations. They are nearly as bad as those in IA and NH.

Is Graham really too dense to figure out that securing the border is a meaningless gesture if a blanket amnesty is granted to those who already violated it?

While it may be impossible to deport 11 or 20 or 40 million illegals (nobody even cares to know how many), it certainly would be possible to deport the worst 1.1 or 2 or 4 million who are gang-bangers, felons, welfare cheats and the like.

Before you get even halfway with the worst 10%, a good share of the others will self-deport, particularly if you offer incentives such as free air conditioned bus rides and a nice sack lunch for the first x million to report for voluntary deportation, then gradually ratcheting it down to a ride in a box car with straw and cold tortilla and beans paid for by property seizure.

That may be true among the general public, but we still haven’t found a Republican POTUS candidate that is NOT in favor of some kind of path-to-citizenship amnesty.
