Alien planet discovered, but it shouldn't exist
MSNBC ^ | 12/08/2010 | Charles Q. Choi

An alien star has now been discovered to have an extra planet that astronomers so far cannot explain.

A fourth planet has been imaged orbiting the bright, very young star HR 8799, nearly 130 light-years away. This newfound world is at least seven times the mass of Jupiter, roughly the same as a trio of other giant planets astronomers had seen circling the star two years ago in the first direct images of extrasolar planets.

I have a feeling there is no such thing as “normal” when it comes to exoplanets. Here’s an interesting story about a planet that appears to be carbon rich. (Our solar system is actually carbon poor in comparison)

There’s a lot that they can’t explain. It’s arrogant to say “shouldn’t exist.” If it exists, it doesn’t need a bunch of night owl astronomers to say it exists.

The moonbats are apoplectic now about carbon. Can you imagine if
the ratio was higher?

In fact, I'm surprised NASA hasn't been tasked with finding a way to
eliminate the lakes of methane on Titan.

If it were a Dyson sphere, we wouldn’t see the star.
