“I hope thousands sing Amazing Grace loud enough for me to hear it in Pennsyvania !”
I find the damn mosque despicable also! I found the “crescent” memorial design in Shanksville despicable, too. I did everything I could to speak out on it after they said that would be the design.
I can’t even watch or listen to Obama....can’t stand the man or Mooshelle. I simply meant to time the singing so it doesn’t disrepect the victims. That’s all!
Ought be taught in every American History class.
Instead in Calif they’ll teach of the contributions of homosexuals in history.
Thanks. I hadn’t even decided if I was going to watch it, but if GB will be there, I may...especially if he will be speaking again.
And also if the flash mob event is successful, it will be worth it.
There was a fascinating show on Public TV about 9/11 and I think it will run several more times in the next few days. It shows the events of 9/11 at Offut Air Force Base in Nebraska. The show is called STRATCOM 9/11: A Different Doomsday. It contains footage that I had never seen of the President and the base. I’m not sure if it’ll be available outside of NE but it’s worth watching if you can.
It was especially interesting to me because I live in Nebraska. On 9/11 I remember talking with my husband and saying, “We don’t need to worry; nothing will happen here b/c there’s nothing that important here.” As I was driving downtown a little bit later the local radio announcer talked about “A distinctive airplane just landed at Offut; it looks like Air Force One.” And of course it was.
“Ugh...in so many ways he and his liberal cronies were responsible for 9/11...not preparing after the ‘93 bombing, failing to get Bin Laden, maintaining the “wall” between intelligence agencies.”
Did you see post 104 on Clinton?
Thanks for the info. I did not know that.
I truly hate islam and øbama.
But peace to you and yours, and may our Nation soon find it's way back from this terrible abyss.
He's probably done more than any individual in history to shape the Middle East while taking slings and arrows from left and right.
Of course Obama is bumbling along trying to juggle events in the wake of what he did, but eventually millions (actually billions) will come to recognize that Bush's steady hand was a major force for peace.
Yes, I did.
“President Bush and Laura are REAL people. I miss them!”
I wish I was there today to see him. President Bush and Laura were there when I attended the 5th anniversary at Shanksville with my fellow crew members... United Airline’s EWR flight attendants.
&&&&
And because it was such a successful job, it looked easy, or inevitable. Ditto the teamwork of W and Laura. I am listening to Decision Points right now, and am reminded of her strong presence in all of his successes, through the governorship and on to the White House.
(Kind of reminds me of Todd Palin's presence!)
C-SPAN cut away from Shanksville memorial event to go to Obama and wife holding hands walking through Arlington National Cemetery to area where soldiers of Iraq and Afghanistan are buried...yuk. They are mingling with and talking with all of the visitors.
just watched on YouTube. Nice reference to Gettysburg address, also in Pennsylvania...and good to see a President with a PROPER reference to Lincoln!
I hope so too, and agree that one day he will be recognized for what he really did to stabilize the ME and keep us safe from very, very evil people.
He has the personal stability to recognize that the true effects of what he did will not be understood in his lifetime, but the attacks from both left and far right can't have been very pleasant for him as he tried his best to do his best for the country he loves.
I'm sure he's glad to be riding his bike these days and to not have the literal weight of the world on his shoulders.
He bore up well - a sort of Divine 'compliment' that he was not given more than he could endure, and that God would give him the help that he so sincerely prayed for.
Read this article and see if you still feel the same, that it’s not a cowboy hat.

Carter was the reason why all the trouble with Islam started. I am glad he wasn’t there. Salizar should not have read the letter. Who cares if the peanut farmer from Georgia was unable to come or not
Did you notice the standing ovation President Bush got after his speech?
Yes, I sure did. He was the one they were waiting for.
