You can't reinvent the burger; you can remake it NEW YORK (AP) — When Wendy's decided to remake its 42-year-old hamburger, the chain agonized over every detail. A pickle chemist was consulted. Customers were quizzed on their lettuce knowledge. And executives went on a cross-country burger-eating tour. [snip]

It really does chap me that its darn near impossible to get a “medium” burger nowadays

Heck, the last time I was in New Jersey and ordered breakfast, I wanted corned beef hash and sunny-side-up eggs. Love to mix the runny yolk with the hash! But I was told that it was illegal to serve "uncooked" eggs. I was grumpy the rest of the day...

Irving — or, as “us” Texans say — “yonder down the road.”

:)

Moving next month. Not looking back at Crazifornia.

Go to a Fuddruckers nearest you!

Great burgers and better pie. Unfortunately all the Fuddruckers in Kansas City are now closed. I read somewhere that they declared Chapter 11.

The best burgers are made in MY kitchen.

After that, I’ll pick Fudruckers.

Glad you found an In’N’out kiddo! My brother was visiting from north of Seattle and he and his daughter wanted to eat In’N’Out every other day!

**If you like a big FF burger with mustard and onions you want Whataburger!***

When in New Mexico I like Blake’s Burgers. There used to be a real good place in Farmington NM, George and John’s but they are no longer there.

Yep, they screwed up royally with the sweet pickles, and they gave the bun an odd butter flavor too. It amazes me because the Wendy burger was a classic design and flat out delicious when well executed. I’m thinking that Wendys corporate must have gotten hold of the same consultant that came up with the BK burger at Krystals a few years back. It was exactly the same, and lame for the same reasons. It’s like the sweet pickle, buttered bun, fancy lettuce, red onions thing is some guy’s vision of how a burger should be. He apparently has excellent Power Point chops because he’s been able to sell it to two big chains. Dave Thomas probably would have thrown him out on his ear.

Still a Fuddrucker’s near Knott’s Berry Farm area in Buena Park, CA. Have not been there since my daughter was in about third grade...

Did they get Michelle Obama's seal of approval? /s

They've changed to full fat mayo, no mustard, same tomatoes and ketchup, special FDA-approved warmer-stored cheese, buttered-and-toasted buns, same iceberg lettuce, same fat ratio beef but wavy edges to the squares look less processed.

I think I'll stick to In & Out.

My Dad was so funny. He passed away last year, but the months prior to his passing he had to have his McDonald’s cheeseburger and a small fries for lunch. Not the big cheeseburger... the small one, kid’s meal size. He and his wife would get one each and a small fries. He loved getting his lunch for a couple of bucks. When I would take him to the doctor and try to swing by a BK on the way home, he would say.... no... go for the Mickey D.

Around North Orange County, CA there are a lot of Greek family owned burger places... they are like fast food diners and their food is great! Their portions are huge so the price is higher, but they have awesome food. Paul’s is one here in the No.OC has a great California burger - but order it as a deluxe on grilled sourdough... avocado, your favorite cheese and bacon... easily split this with your honey. side of tempura battered mushrooms or zucchini... yum.

I quoted on some furniture for one of their new units here in California... I didn’t want to offer bolt down table bases in a brick patio so it was a no go....
I plan on trying them out, but have heard from friends that In ‘N’ Out beats them hands down.

Then you would like the Greek diners in my area that make burgers. There is a legendary one off the 405 fwy and Cherry Ave. Long Beach, CA.... my Dad use to go there for chili burgers when he drove in from LAX home from work. He took me by that one years ago... all I can remember is the portion was so huge, no way one person could eat it all.
