Freepers, Newt Supporters: 46 States to go (Mitt's Gotta Face the South Again Soon)
Freeper TitansAFC | 1-31-2012 | TitansAFC

Posted on 01/31/2012 8:05:07 PM PST by TitansAFC

Four down, forty-six to go!

First, I would like to Congratulate Mitt Romney! No, really! Between he and his Super PAC, Team Romney dumped over 25 million dollars into Florida since the beginning of the campaign which, along with the diabolical coordination with formerly credible GOP media personalities in a massive Establishment smear campaign, resulted in Mitt Romney getting less than 200,000 votes more than he got four years ago!

The result was a plurality win in a four-person primary where only two candidates even attempted to win the state. At least as impressive a performance as winning a basketball game against a team that only fielded four players!

But he'd better get busy again! At his current return of about one delegate per $500,000 in combined spending, he's going to need nearly $600,000,000 to buy the necessary support to be the GOP nominee in August!

On a bright note, my Freeper Friends, it gets better from here. You see, Mitt was expected to take places like NH and FL, places where it is hard to fight an Establishment favorite. But his troubles are only beginning: as seen in the polls posted in the last few days, he trails miserably in the South - states with disproportionately large numbers of delegates with many winner-takes-all Primaries. He is also second or third in most polls of key midwestern states, like Missouri, Ohio, and Minnesota. To top that off, he is at BEST in a statistical tie with Newt in national polls, despite his massive money advantage!

Georgia alone has nearly 80 delegates, a lot more than Florida, and Newt will clean house there. Don't even get me started on the sweetest plum, Texas, where Newt is a favorite and our friend Captain Perry is circling the wagons for Gingrich! Texas has 155 delegates, NC 55 delegates, Ohio 66 delegates, Alaska 50 delegates, and they are all Newt country right now!!

http://www.2012presidentialelectionnews.com/2012-republican-primary-schedule/

As you see above, the longer the campaign, the more it favors Newt Gingrich! Mitt may win some states here early, but he is breaking the bank to do so. And if he's struggling this hard to win states he should win easily, image what it's going to be like for him when he faces more South Carolina type places in the future!

To arms! To arms! Keep up the good fight, keep fighting! We WILL win this thing in the end because the state delegate count favors us GREATLY as the campaign goes on! Mitt can't win in the South, he struggles mightily in the midwest, and he won't win in the corn belt.

The fight has only just begun! Mitt has broken the bank, and has only a small lead to show for it in delegates. We are in good position, and we will prevail in August and then November!!!!!!!

A friend once told me, even a little Christmas tree light has all the power of the Hoover Dam behind it. I’m praying to know that God is our Hoover Dam, empowering Newt and all of us, giving us strength to conquer this mountain.

I sure like that! Good way to think of it.

As for Newt "dissing capitalism," my jaw drops with dismay and disgust at those here who so gleefully deceive themselves. Newt challenges what sure smells and looks like bad business ethics in a shady individual and business model, and like baying hounds itching for a fight, so-called "conservatives" jump on him on the false pretext that he was "attacking capitalism."

Come on, those of you who so joyously leap on Newt for this blatantly misconstrued "flaw" -- wake up. Grow a conscience.

Another gem worth bumping: Last night Hannity was telling Newt how good this process is because it makes the candidates stronger. Newt just gave him that fatherly smile with a twinkle in his eye, you know the one. I wanted to strangle Hannity - it was as if he’d said, ‘Child abuse isn’t so bad, it puts starch in your collar!’ I’d like to see how Hannity would hold up.

Exactly.

I don’t consider lobbying capitalism.

Unlike Thomas Sowell, you apparently don't know the difference between lobbying and consulting.

Sowell does, and while Sowell wasn't pleased with Gingrich's criticism of Bain, he was downright disgusted with Romney's false characterization of Gingrich's consulting work as "lobbying."

An interesting posting history trashing Newt.

Paulite? (since you deny being a Mittbott and going back a couple of weeks you say this:

as long as paul is pulling 13-15 noone catches romney no matter who else drops out and this

if she endorses it will be romney...but i think she will stay out..if she was gonna do it for anyone else she would have done it by now....)

Cheers!

I agree , now the numbers are in I can be happy to see where I live N FL still went for Newt .

Problem in my state is all these liberal yankeee who bring their north east politics with them and if course we got burned by the so called soccer MOms again

As for the money, he spent 25 million compared to 5million, hardly a guy who knows how to get bang for his buck, we were carpet bombed with negative ADs here from Romney and the sheep who see an R sat there and thought it was all true.

Think of this.
Newt had 5 million and if Santurom had got out of the race like Perry, Michelle, Cain did then this race would have been s tight that Romney would not have got a big bounce and the headlines would have been , Romney spends big but only scrapes a win .

I heard Romney last night thinks we’ll unite, YEA RIGHT ROMNEY HAS LOST MY AND MY FAMILYS VOTE FOREVER

25 million to 5 million
13,000 ADs to 200 ADs

He lost my area of N FL where we don;t have as much north east types here.

If Santorum had not been in then the headline would have been Romney spends big and only scrapes win

Now Romney gets head wind and it is thanks to Santorum and those who voted for him wasting their vote.

To think if Santorum had put his ago aside.

As for Romney , I heard he said we will unite to fight obama

HUH ER NO You will never get my family to vote for you after how you and the establishment attacked a candidate, and ignored us the base of which you need here in FL,

You lot made a serious mistake, we might have liberals voting for Romney but last night up in N FL where the base is you Romney lost it and you will never get it so might as well give FL up boy

I hate to say it, although I've lived here all my life and consider myself a "Southerner," that Florida really ISN'T a "Southern State." Even though we had the only capital city never captured by the Union Army in the recent unpleasantness, aka the war of Northern aggression, aka the War Between the States.

Florida is not part of the south. It is an extension of New York. The “natives” have been overtaken by northern retirees.

Newt 2012
Post Office Box 550769 • Atlanta, Georgia 30355

Here is what I found when I went to Newt.org.

They have a form there that they wish to have filled out.

I don’t want to fill it out because I don’t wish to be on their mailing list, but I intend to get a $20 dollar bill in the mail this morning. I know it isn’t much, but every little bit helps.

***When Santorum graciously steps aside the conservatives will unite.***

Santorum has no grace - he is a very angry young man whose influence on his supporters, IMHO, is probably even more anti-Newt than anti-Romney.

BTW did some of Bachmann’s, Cain’s and Perry supporters mail in early ballots for their candidates?

Don't want to rain on your parade, RomneyBOT
BUT please favor us with an explanation of how
Romney's imposition of gay marriage, RomneyCARE,
Romney DEATH PANELS, Romney Backstabbing,
Romney's murderer-freeing judges, and Romney's
coverup of the BIG DIG relate to FREEDOM?

Watching a news show this morning and a pundit said what I think is going on. Santorum and Newt feel the sincerity of the anti-Romney crowd and feel that all they have to do is hang on until the other drops out to clean this thing up. Problem is that it is like playing chicken behind the wheel and neither driver turns away. Both crash.
