Freepers, Newt Supporters: 46 States to go (Mitt's Gotta Face the South Again Soon)
Freeper TitansAFC | 1-31-2012 | TitansAFC

Four down, forty-six to go!

First, I would like to Congratulate Mitt Romney! No, really! Between he and his Super PAC, Team Romney dumped over 25 million dollars into Florida since the beginning of the campaign which, along with the diabolical coordination with formerly credible GOP media personalities in a massive Establishment smear campaign, resulted in Mitt Romney getting less than 200,000 votes more than he got four years ago!

The result was a plurality win in a four-person primary where only two candidates even attempted to win the state. At least as impressive a performance as winning a basketball game against a team that only fielded four players!

But he'd better get busy again! At his current return of about one delegate per $500,000 in combined spending, he's going to need nearly $600,000,000 to buy the necessary support to be the GOP nominee in August!

On a bright note, my Freeper Friends, it gets better from here. You see, Mitt was expected to take places like NH and FL, places where it is hard to fight an Establishment favorite. But his troubles are only beginning: as seen in the polls posted in the last few days, he trails miserably in the South - states with disproportionately large numbers of delegates with many winner-takes-all Primaries. He is also second or third in most polls of key midwestern states, like Missouri, Ohio, and Minnesota. To top that off, he is at BEST in a statistical tie with Newt in national polls, despite his massive money advantage!

Georgia alone has nearly 80 delegates, a lot more than Florida, and Newt will clean house there. Don't even get me started on the sweetest plum, Texas, where Newt is a favorite and our friend Captain Perry is circling the wagons for Gingrich! Texas has 155 delegates, NC 55 delegates, Ohio 66 delegates, Alaska 50 delegates, and they are all Newt country right now!!

As you see above, the longer the campaign, the more it favors Newt Gingrich! Mitt may win some states here early, but he is breaking the bank to do so. And if he's struggling this hard to win states he should win easily, image what it's going to be like for him when he faces more South Carolina type places in the future!

To arms! To arms! Keep up the good fight, keep fighting! We WILL win this thing in the end because the state delegate count favors us GREATLY as the campaign goes on! Mitt can't win in the South, he struggles mightily in the midwest, and he won't win in the corn belt.

The fight has only just begun! Mitt has broken the bank, and has only a small lead to show for it in delegates. We are in good position, and we will prevail in August and then November!!!!!!!

slight correction, up here in N FL we are still the old south, you might want to refer to the middle and south as the Yankee land.
Newt took the north , Romney took the middle and south where all the yankess are.
Santorum took, well just votes and they took them away from Newt thus helping Romney

You, young man, are either a Mittbot or a Paulbot. Your posting history is on display. Defend yourself or GTFO.

Whilst I’m not in agreement with you about supporting Mitt, I am also dissapointed in the wave of anti-LDS bigotry.

Its beneath us.

Florida is not part of the south. It is an extension of New York. The “natives” have been overtaken by northern retirees.

I be a Southerner and no one I knew growing up in Alabama ever thought of Florida as a Southern state. We always, even then, 1950s and 1960s, considered it, as you noted, a Yankee retirement outpost.

Santorum has no grace - he is a very angry young man whose influence on his supporters, IMHO, is probably even more anti-Newt than anti-Romney.

I'm afraid you're correct. Let's both hope you're not ... but ... it sure looks like you nailed it. And I see some of his supporters here acting as if those who criticize Santorum's sancimoniousness are criticizing Christianity itself.

Gee ... why does that sound familiar?

I have a serious question for you. Mitt touts his business experience as the reason to vote for him. He was/is a venture capitalist. How does that relate to job creation from a government position? Is he going to invest government money in private business? If so, how is that any different from Obama and GM?

Good call on that zot.

If for nothing else, he deserved a zot for his “red hairings” remark.

lolololol
