Election Day was a drubbing for marriage. The ballot initiatives to protect marriage lost by over 4% in Maine, Minnesota, Washington State, and Maryland. Those who support same-sex marriage reportedly spent over $33 million, while those who defend marriage spent just over $10 million.
Many friends have said that same-sex marriage is inevitable. It is not. I have confidence that fence-sitters will enter the fray in support of traditional marriage. As we continue to debate this issue, three important forces can shift the outcome in favor of marriage as the union of one man and one woman. Consider first, public opinion; second, the methods and the message of LGBT activists; and third, reality.
Public Opinion Gives Marriage a Fighting Chance The American public offers differing levels of assent to same-sex marriage, depending on how the survey questions are worded. Psychologically, it matters how questions are asked.
Consider these facts:
1. Data from the New Family Structures Study (NFSS) shows 24% of the young-adult population on the fence, saying theyre not sure when asked whether it should be legal for gays and lesbians to marry in America. Theres more support than antagonism, but not a majority on either side, given the nearly one-quarter who remain on the sidelines.
2. A national post-election survey conducted on Election Day by The Polling Company, Inc., showed that 60% of American voters agree that marriage is between one man and one woman, while only 34% disagree. Another poll two months earlier showed that 57% were in agreement.

But “Homosexual Marriage?” ain't no such animal...kind of like “bicycle spaceflight” where one would have to call dogs cats and cats dogs while everyone pretends to be stupid so as not to offend the fascists.
The homosexuals have a financial stake in this. Now that homosexuality is accepted, it will become a debilitating disease that requires disability. Just watch. We will not only have to accept them, we will have to pay them.
Dennis Prager says that he tells his Jewish friends to “Preach what you Practice”. If there were more of that, there would be much, much, less problems in this country.
No, that won’t happen.
What will happen is a most thorough punking of the conventions of sane society.
The Anglican Church in North America, Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ, North American Lutheran Church and Evangelical Presbyterian Church have seen impressive growth; in fact, the LCMC more than doubled in size since the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America voted to redefine marriage.
Homos at work will have an “Anal Bum Cover” (or “An Album Cover” from SNL Jeopardy sans the Sean Connery impersonator) like steel toed shoes in order to prevent on the job injuries;)
The fact that we have fence-sitters suggests a real problem. The fact that its even a close question means we have a problem.
The ground has been eroded from under our feet.
[We will not only have to accept them, we will have to pay them.]
I expect that’s already the reality ala the mandate of socialized medical insurance.
Creating sperm from female stem cells must be enormously expensive.

And then of course there are the expenses associated with the pharmaceutical avoidance of the DUE PENALTIES for their perversions - in the form of AIDS drug cocktails etc.
Being an Uber-transhumanist-postgenderist perverter of nature ain’t cheap.
You can add the LCMS to your list.
Been there, heard the “Gaaawd is Looove” sermon.
Evidently Gandalf the Gay managed to pull the first few pages of Romans out of the book in the drawer at whatever Seminary this particular parrot in the Pulpit graduated from.
Me: Did he really just say that?
Mrs. TArcher: Yeah, I heard it too.
The Ghost of Richard Nixon: Jeeezus Christ.
There is no “Best Construction” when the Wolves are among the flock.
Got Discernment?
>>saying theyre not sure
Ask them what the socio-biological reproductive fitness of a homosexual couple is.
The answer is clear: ZERO.
There’s nothing new under the sun. Faggots have come and gone for thousands of years. This current cultural fascination with All Things Queer, too, shall pass. Personally, I’m hoping for a reprisal of the fire and brimstone solution, but if it just fades into irrelevance that’ll be OK too.
Aye, but the list was of breakaways which have sprung up within the past decade. LCMS dates to Martin Stephan settlement in the mid 1800's.
Liberal judges don't.
:)
Homosexual ‘marriage’ law is about persecuting those that refuse to service homosexual behavior.
I’m convinced that the homos only wanted “marriage” because there weren’t allowed to marry. Only a tiny fraction of homos are showing any desire to marry. They only sought it in order to ruin it for the normals.
“In 1824, Martin Stephan began to explore America as a place to practice the faith without harassment. Martin and ten other men formed a “Gesellschaft” or Society for emigration from Dresden to St. Louis, Missouri.[4] He helped organize 700 people and five ships for passage to America in November 1838.”

Can’t find any fault with that.
My observation, having attended LCMS schools from elementary through college, is that the LCMS has broken away from the LCMS - a process that has accelerated since 2001.
Once upon a time it was an organization whose focus was on empowering individuals to utilize their free mind in interaction with The Word.
Today, that’s been usurped in some cases by parrots in the pulpit who are self-evidently more interested in protecting a perch upon the pyramid steps.
And bring up Martin Luther’s lesser known work “On the Jews and Their Lies” - and the influence it may or may not’ve had on MEIN KAMPF? Fahgedabout dat.
Homosexuals do not reproduce....they recruit.
