There is a split among conservatives between those who think the NSA's collection of data about every phone call in America is an important counterterrorism tool, and those who think President Obama is, as usual, trampling on the constitution and the flag and the Founding Fathers. But Rush Limbaugh takes it one step further. He says Obama is leading a coup d'etat. And this time it's for real.

I’m surprised that I seem to be the only one who remembers at the beginning of obama’s first term - they OFFICIALLY re-defined “potential terrorists” as CONSERVATIVE, CHURCH-GOING, GUN OWNING AMERICANS who listen to talk radio, believe in GOD and moral absolutes...
WE are the ‘enemy’ that they’re justifying this crap over!
US.
Did Rush say it, or didn't he?
If he did say it, is he being taken out of context, or not?
Rush is right. We are frogs in the pot of water.
If we are all “unindicted terrorists”, perhaps we should strive to be hung for being a wolf rather than being a sheep.
It is a strange, strange land where the founding documents are blithely ignored, except when convenient to call upon some clause that may be used to beat the strict constitutionalists over the head, and a whole legal structure is set up to basically countermand virtually every precedent the territory known as “the United States of America” has used in its moral justification for some 200 years previously.
There is a regime now entrenched in Washington, DC, that is dedicated to applying an ideology loosely based on egalitarianism and “common good”.
Only, all things are seldom “equal”, and the “common good” shifts in meaning when the terms “common” and “good” are constantly being redefined.
And their definition of “potential terrorist” has changed. It now means anyone that talks about the constitution or smaller gov’t.
I never heard him say anything like that, not even close.
He's been saying all along this is a deliberate effort to destroy this country.
Remember the "I hope he fails comment"?
I too saw that last night, and yes I am just amazed as you are.
Still shaking head....
Here’s the Herb Meyer article he refers to. It’s worth a thread all by itself:

Charles Grassley, Republican senetaor on intelligence committee was just on FOX saying exactly that . Sorry.
To Rush: Welcome to the party, pal!!
When the conservative commentators side with the coup it is not good.
"Limbaugh is not known for being factual. His audience are basic morans"
2014 might be the key ,if everything goes to the Dems Obama is never leaving the White House
I was in the service with a guy named Moran. Ate Pills like I did sausages. He really was a Moran..
Whereas with the IRS , Fast & Furious, "gun control," the Hutaree "militia" and many other examples, the government is bringing the full weight of the despotic, administrative state to bear against its political enemies, real or imagined, while large segments of the press and the Left (but I repeat myself) cheer them on.
The notion that a normal election process is going to correct this when the media act as the semi-official propaganda arm of the Democratic Party is quaintly naive.
The most effective action would be to organize at the state level and get the states to assert their sovereignty by nullifying federal acts, tossing out federal bureaucrats, and telling federal judges to go eff themselves. But that would take courage and the ability to articulately defend the notion of Liberty against the unholy alliance of corporate welfare queens (banksters, contracters, cheap immigrant labor) and the Left.
Well, I’m not sure how much a “Conservative” McGuirk is, I don’t follow him closely, but I never considered him a mental heavyweight.
Just my $.02
The Constitution has become the enemy of the government, therefore anyone who tries to uphold it must be destroyed at all costs...even if it means over half the population. WE are now the ‘conspirators’. And with the stacking of the courts that has been a work in progress for decades, our chances of winning back our freedom by having our grievances heard is nil.
The Eagle is wounded, maybe unto death.
He is already in charge. Is he planning to over throw himself?
