CLEVELAND, Ohio: A Wall Street Journal report suggests that despite critics opinions predicting GOP frontrunner Donald Trumps poll numbers would fall, two early though unscientific polls predict that may be wrong.
Time Magazine found that Mr. Trump took 47% of nearly 55,000 votes. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) of Florida was in second place with just 10%. The Drudge Reports poll found more than half of nearly 362,000 voters favored Mr. Trump, well above everyone else, the Wall Street Journal noted.
After Frank Luntzs made his opinion on Trumps performance suggesting tonight his act wore thin, conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh stood up for Trump, and instead went after Fox News performance.
I have never seen this kind of public backlash against Fox News personalities since the network launched in 1997, the radio legend stated.
Even Bloomberg Politics went after Fox News host Megyn Kelly for her questioning comparing it to something Rachel Maddow would ask.

I don’t like Trump because Trump isn’t a conservative. If you want to waste your vote on a pathetic loser instead of voting for a solid conservative, then go right ahead.
Standing up and defending Trump against Fox News’ hit job is one thing, but that doesn’t make the Donald conservative.
Anyone that would cast a vote for Trump over Cruz is either ignorant or a coward (probably both).
So if you are against Trump you’re a RINO? The only “R”epublican “i”n “n”ame “o”nly on that stage the other night was Trump.
LOL
The GOP’s Trump problem has happened because the GOP lied and back stabbed their voters. They lied about stopping Obamacare and then funded it. They lied about stopping Obama’s amnesty and then funded it. They refuse to secure the border. They gave Obama a way to get his Iran deal through.
Shouldn’t we Constitutional Conservatives stop being the abused wife

Yes, absolutely yes. The GOP has failed to produce. Why should we continue buying a defective product? Time to look for another brand that can meet our needs.
Thanks for the great image idea :-)

Um No,
I’m fairly certain Cruz is a big enough adult to handle the MSM on his own without the Chumpster.
Name one time where the MSM has gotten the better of Ted Cruz?
Like Reagan, Cruz learned a long time ago how to by-pass the media and get the message to the people.
I would have love seeing the moderators try to assault Cruz because he would have eaten them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. That’s precisely why they chose to ignore him for lengthy amounts of time, they know their no match for him. And the people watching on TV would have realized that as well.
You’ve got a good sense of polls but the largest ‘brand’ polls are contracted or subscribed to. Like big accounting firms they have an inherent conflict of interest. Also some ‘brand’ polls are cheap and because they are cheap they are misleading yet rely on their brand name, e.g. Gallup.
So expect to see some wild results of polling this week.
The only thing the mercenary polls have yet to master is the coordination. Many of them ‘wait and see’ what others are making public and then they adjust their bias so as to not appear too obvious.
Some reputable polling operations have scientifically valid sampling plans but the nonresponse and hangup rates today are so high (>90%) that there’s no way to tell with any degree of accuracy what the true picture might look like. Yet, polls are reported with a margin of error that completely ignores the nonreponse rates!
The way around the dilemma of such high nonresponse is to perform longitudinal and time series analysis on new samples drawn according to the same scientifically valid sampling plan. But that takes several weeks and perhaps months. This weaknesses leave the field open to propaganda tools in attempting to shape (brainwash) public opinion. The good news is the internet has some effect on public awareness to the deception.
In the past a great way way to gauge public sentiment in elections is the old-fashioned way, a visit to the local barber or beauty salon. Today it’s a mix of social media, comments left on news media sites and talk radio. But one must beware of some social media. For example, Twitter has robot apps that can make a small group of 7 or 8 people appear to be as hundreds. Facebook comments are less prone to robot entries.
you might want to have a little chat with Cruz and Palin. Seems they didn’t get your memo.
I refuse to be lectured by someone that thinks Citizens United was a bad decision.
Take your spinning points somewhere else.
My prediction was apparently correct. I posted on this last night,

post 39:
Watch and see, the debate may not have gone as well as many of us would have liked, the moderators were far from fair, and did everything they could to bring Trump down, and he will still come out ahead, watch the polls next week and see.
end quote
Every time they attack Trump he comes out with more support. The debate was nothing more than an attack Trump party. Kelly was just on Media Buzz defending herself, she did ok but it was clear it was an all out attack on Trump, nothing more. She claimed they were just trying to give the candidates a chance to defend their own weak points...yeah right...
Brett Baer is on right now saying they didn’t know who would or would not raise their hand...BULL...they knew quite well Trump was the only one likely to run 3rd party, and he is not the one who suggested it. He has not ruled it out, but it was never his idea. I think he’s right. The establishment is doing all they can to knock him out of the race, and it’s very unlikely he will get the nomination, even if popular opinion is on his side. They want Bush and will stop at nothing to get it. If Bush does get the nod, expect a 3rd party run.
Thing is, Trump was honest about it. Who else would have done that?
OK yeah I’m rambling all over the place now but I’m trying to get some of the people on here to realize there is a good possibility Trump might end up running 3rd party if the establishment keeps up their attempt at bulldozing him right out of the Republican ticket. He won’t back down, they should know that. It seems by now they should realize the consistent attacks only get him more support.
If Trump does run 3rd party, we need to start seriously considering that possibility, and we need to realize he can do it, if he gets enough support. Why? He’s pulling voters from everywhere because Republicans are not the only ones sick of the status quo in DC. No matter what party they usually support, people are sick of politicians lying to them to get elected then turning their backs on the people and going to work for corporate donors and special interest groups. Trump is saying what they have been thinking for a long time. People like that...
That’s why his poll numbers are constantly rising, it’s not just Republicans taking notice..
The “debate” was totally unfair, and not only to Trump. Cruz was ignored for almost an hour. I’m not surprised at all Trump seems to be still getting good poll numbers. That’s what has always happened every time he’s been attacked.
Right on. Your assessment is perfect. Trump wants the conversation be on point and that is to save America from the pit it is now in. We are so close to being a communists dictatorship it is unbelievable.
What are you talking about? I don't think I've expressed an opinion on Citizens United.
I predict Donald surges in the polls coming out next week. Funny we are not being inundated with post debate polling results by now.
That’s ridiculous. The debate (or whatever it was) was extremely informative and engaging. In fact, riveting. Everyone was hit hard. Trump was hit hardest. So what? Can’t he take it? He hits harder than anyone.
Fox must have done something right because we’re still talking about it. Fox is not ideologically conservative; they have journalists and personalities from across the political spectrum, from Giraldo to Hannity. That’s what makes them unique among the networks.
It may be that Megan Kelly asked Trump a question from a left-wing POV (quotes about women), but she also asked him a tough right-wing questions about his abortion flip-flops, including partial-birth abortion.
Cruz is great!
But it’s to his advantage that Trump is taking the heat right now.
Cruz needs to run with a super-wealthy Bull-In-A-China-Shop at this time though...IMO
If Cruz stands alone he will lose funding, Trump Don’t need no steenkin funding! :-)
He may not be a conservative but he sure ain’t a loser. I’ve seen his house which is located on the lovely bones of Bonwit Teller and a loser couldn’t possibly afford those digs.
I am wondering, though: the debate/Trump-Kelly fight was Thursday night, yet we still don't have a "real" post debate poll. Could be going full Conspiracytard here, but . . . are they deliberately squelching some polls that look good for Trump?
We learned in 08 and 12 that the polls are darned accurate, most of the time. However, I also know from historical research that in WW II the Brits infiltrated Field, Gallup, and the other polling orgs with the intent of shifting public opinion about the war. They would delay polls damaging to their side, rig other polls. Obviously, it didn't work.
