The doctor is disappearing in America.

And by most projections, it’s only going to get worse — the U.S. could lose as many as 1 million doctors by 2025, according to a Association of American Medical Colleges report.

Primary-care physicians will account for as much as one-third of that shortage, meaning the doctor you likely interact with most often is also becoming much more difficult to see.

The Democrats are succeeding in destroying what is by far the best health care system in the history of the world.

There will soon be an acute shortage of qualified physicians in the United States. Costs will continue to sky rocket.

We will soon have a backward, dysfunctional, third world health care system.

The policies of the Democrats will cause human suffering and human misery. It will cause millions of Americans to die unnecessarily.

Well, the AMA didn’t help.

They artificially held down the number of med students in the 70s and 80s to keep MD income high.

Except the population skyrocketed, the women dropped out to have kids, and the foreign docs flooded in and drove down wages and competence at the same time.

Meaning that the MDs at AMA might be OK applied biologists, but as businessmen, they suck.

I’m already seeing an increase in the number of third world doctors practicing in hospitals in America and frankly they don’t seem concerned if the patient lives or dies.

Yeah, so predictable.

Next up, less R&D and technological advances.

My father spent his life in the hospital/healthcare area, and he would agree. Other than the specialists, he had little respect for most doctors. Most of them had to go look up symptoms, same as your car mechanic, to diagnose a problem.

The more experienced ones with good memories might have seen things before and seem magical with their diagnosis, but it is all rote.

Well, not to worry.

Either HillaryCare will solve the problem or President Cruz will import a million or so third world H1B ‘doctors’ to handle it.

Now take the above one step further, all a part of the plotting of the Obama regime and the Dems. Where will we get the replacements for this shortage of doctors? That’s right, if the Dems are in control of the federal gov’t, these doctors will be coming here from other countries, most of them from those dysfunctional, backward third world countries, because that’s how progressives roll. They want this to happen. It’s only “fair” that we have lots of foreigners (minorities of all stripes, gays, and Muzzies will get particular consideration) as our doctors, specialists, nurses, etc. Something for all of us to look forward to.

My Doctor just left his practice. He told me it was for financial reasons not because of Obamacare. I asked him if it could be due to overall health care systems changes due to Obamacare and he said yes.

“the AMA didn’t help”

Absolutely correct.

It’s to bad the AMA didn’t follow the lead of the ABA and open up a bunch of new medical schools and actively recruit students into the profession over the last 30-40 years.

The country would be much better off with to many doctors rather than lawyers...

my dad, who is a long time freeper and doctor of 45 years used to tell us kids back in the early 90’s not to go ito the medical industry because the govt was ruining it by regulating what health insurance companies could be allowed to pay the doctors. And they were just getting started

Obama will have it to where a lot of traditional black colleges are accredited. They’ll be pushing our some real pathetic excuses for doctors and nurses.

I’m lucky. I have a great primary/gastro doc that is about my age.

now if Obamacare doesn’t ruin him, i’ll be ok.

Went to CVS to pick up my meds the other day.

On the way out, couldn’t notice row after row of yummy stuff. chocolates, cupcakes, fritos, candy bars, the list went on and on.

funny, you go to pick up BP and Cholesterol and Diabetes meds and five steps away is some of the worst foods in the world :)

Huh? U.S. health care ranks near the bottom in most studies. All American doctors do is treat symptoms, not root problems. I've heard that European doctors tend to have a more holistic approach.

And Obamacare is only going to make everything worse.

I have a rare medical disorder and often I have to educate my doctros about the newest artiles and papers on the subjct. Ask your typical oral surgeon orothopedic surgeon about the difference between an aneurysmal bone cyst vs a NOF, vs a giant cell granuloma vs a true git cell tumor and you will always get differetnt answer. I have been diagnosed with all of the above and then some all lookig at the same tumor
