Beginning Jan. 22, 2018, travelers from nine states will no longer be able to travel with only their driver’s licenses.
Residents of Kentucky, Maine, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Washington will have to use alternate ID forms (passport, military ID, or permanent resident card) to pass TSA security checkpoints—even for domestic travel.

Well in practice the state government are the ones being forced to do something. We just get our drivers licenses, the states are supposed to make them useful.
I can't speak for other states, but here in Nevada, RealID licenses have a gold circle with a gold cutout on them. The lower levels of licenses do not, and are marked "NOT FOR FEDERAL OFFICIAL USE"
These are states which REFUSED to issue driver licenses that comply the the “Real ID Act”. They chose themselves.

all of a sudden we have a lot of Washington State ID’s in Ohio held by Spanish Speaking residents. Was at the DMV renewing my license when 3 Spanish speakers were applying for Ohio licenses - all had State of Washington ID’s. A local Tavern owner told me he won’t accept Washington ID’s anymore.
there are choke points to control illegal immigration jobs, schools, hospitals, polls and travel. If california and toe hers give license to illegals the feds should catch them at bus stations and airports and deport them
No voter ID is not about controlling who votes, it’s about controlling who wins the election.
Or will they accept the DL from a listed state that cant be used to board a domestic flight, to get a valid passport that can be used to board a domestic flight?
I personally know a lot of illegals with californicate drivers licenses. Tourists and students who overstayed their visas.

Bypass the whole issue and get a passport.

Wanna travel in the US. You need papers. Just like pre war Europe.
My memory is that Oklahoma has declined primarily because the RealID law requires linking all driver’s info on a database with all other states and the federal government (among other privacy data). Oklahoma now offers two forms of driver’s licenses - one without linkage, and one where the driver consents to linking. Also, I note that an address is required under the law. Addresses do not appear on my passport. So the obvious question becomes, why do they need my address to fly?

Maryland, a Bolshevik regime, gives licenses but they have an indicator that they are not to be used for federal identification.
For citizens of border states on this list, an option is to get an enhanced license that is vetted for cross border travel by land and water. That would be an accepted ID by TSA. You can't use those for international air travel, but domestic air would be fine. All international air travel still requires a regular passport.
Address is just part of ID confirmation, there’s the John Smith over there and the John Smith over here.
They’ll just extend the deadline again. PA is too big to not be able to fly.

So the CDL for illegals can’t be used for airplanes and Federal facilities.
