Archbishop Schevchuk: As a teenager, at that time I was not aware of the dangers because it was completely a secret and every teenager had his own secret. Neither my mother nor my father were aware of this and this was my personal secret. It was after a year that I understood the dangers that could have resulted had I been discovered by the secret police. My parents: my mother was a music teacher and my father was an engineer. Had I been discovered my parents would have lost their jobs. Many people in Ukraine, in the past, who were discovered were either imprisoned or exiled. At that time, however, I did not fully understand nor was I aware of the dangers and the persecution, which was going on in Ukraine.
Q: So nothing happened to you?
Archbishop Schevchuk: Thanks be to God nothing happened. For me and my own perspective, in order for me to openly become a priest, the Mother of God had to destroy the Soviet Union. I remember praying; it is impossible for humans to destroy the evil of the Soviet empire but for God nothing is impossible.

Job wasn’t a doctor.
She didn’t do a very good job. None of the commie criminals were ever brought to justice; in fact, they just changed party affiliation and became “capitalists.”
Job wasnt a doctor.
iPhone thumb typing and auto correct rears its ugly head again....have patience with me....
buddha, shiva, allah, mary, take your pick, they are all gods, none to be worshiped or prayed to.
God alone has that right. The trinity.
Might want to ask Adam and Eve...
You can say it all you want...Doesn't make it true...
Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
Where's Mary???
“buddha, shiva, allah, mary, take your pick, they are all gods, none to be worshiped or prayed to.”
Mary is a human person. None of us have ever claimed she is a god. We don’t worship her, never have, never will. I see no reason not to venerate the saints God has given us in the Communion of Saints.
“God alone has that right. The trinity.”
That’s the Trinity. I worship the Trinity alone.
“You can say it all you want...Doesn’t make it true...”
It is true, even if I don’t say it.
“Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Where’s Mary???”
She didn’t exist yet. God the Son had not taken flesh and been born of woman yet either. When He was, He had a mother and her name was Mary. Mary is the mother of God. Jesus is God.
Russia was then reborn and rose up from those godless, marxist ashes.
I look forward to the Pope's visit to Russia and to what that event will set into motion.
Could very well be the case. Sounds like she has a lot to do in the time remaining:
From True Life In God:
this is why, before My Return, I am sending you, before Me, the Ark of Alliance, I am sending you the Woman of the Apocalypse, the second Eve, who will crush the serpent's head with her heel; I am sending you, before Me: My Mother, to open a broad highway and level it in this desert; I am sending you the Queen of Heaven, the Door to Heaven, to prepare you, and to school all you who still lie in the dust, to come forward and make your peace with Me, your King, before My Great Return; I am sending you the Queen of Peace to thresh from one corner of the earth to the other and gather you one by one;~Jesus; Let My Imperial Court Prepare For Me My Way I Am Sending You Before Me My Mother October 10, 1990
**Love to say this... Jesus is God.. and He has a mother.**
Jesus praying to the Father (John 17:1), And this is life eternal, that they might know THEE the ONLY TRUE GOD, ........AND........JESUS CHRIST, whom THOU hast SENT. John 17:3. So, do you disagree with the Son, who declares the Father to be the ONLY TRUE GOD?
Scriptural phrases:
God the Father
Son of God
Spirit of God
Unscriptural phrases:
Father of God
Mother of God
God the Son
God the Holy Spirit
Paul never declared that God WAS Christ: he declared that God was IN Christ.
Paul never declared that God was manifested AS flesh: he declared that God was manifested IN the flesh.
What Mary was used to help bring forth was mortal, which died on the cross. Diety does die, even for a minute. Consider the words of Peter, a man who understood the Godhead: “How God annointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power....for God was with him....Him God raised up the third day....it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead” (Acts 10:38-43).
Well, you been indoctrinated for sure. Heres a few things to consider concerning the trinity (which the original apostles NEVER taught):
Take John 1:1 for instance: IN THE BEGINNING WAS THE WORD, AND THE WORD WAS WITH GOD AND THE WORD WAS GOD.
Are you and your word two separate and distinct persons? A brief example of the confusion trinitarian creeds display is shown in the following numbered lines from a posting of the so-called Athanasian Creed:
**10. The Father is eternal: the Son eternal: the Holy Spirit eternal.
22. The Son is of the Father alone: not made; nor created; but begotten.**
Eternal=begotten??
The following statement is contradictory to the verse which follows it.
**25. And in this Trinity none is before or after another: none is greater or less than another.**
..I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I. John 14:28
And this:
**12. As also there are not three uncreated: nor three immeasurable: but one uncreated, and one immeasurable.**
??
So there are TWO that ARE created, and TWO that ARE measurable??
More confusion:
**13. So likewise the Father is almighty: the Son almighty: and the Holy Spirit almighty.**
If one is almighty, there is no need for the others. If one needs the others, that one is not almighty.
And these next ones......????
17. So the Father is Lord: the Son Lord: and the Holy Spirit Lord.
18. And yet not three Lords; but one Lord.
19. For like as we are compelled by the Christian verity to acknowledge every Person by himself to be God and Lord:
20. So are we forbidden by the catholic religion to say, there are three Gods, or three Lords.
????
Now who is it that is the author of confusion?
How does a trinitarian explain this: But of that day and hour knoweth....my Father only (the 2nd and 3rd persons of God dont know??)?
Did the Son of God inherit his name Jesus? Yes. Jn 5:43 and Heb. 1:4
Why is the phrase Son of God found many times in scripture, but the phrase God the Son is found nowhere in scripture?
“There was her Assumption into heaven body and soul.”
I can’t find that anywhere in the Bible. Got book, chapter and verse for that? No other book will do.
“Paul never declared that God WAS Christ: he declared that God was IN Christ. Paul never declared that God was manifested AS flesh: he declared that God was manifested IN the flesh.”
John wrote: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ...And the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us, and we saw his glory, the glory as of the Father’s only Son, full of grace and truth.”
God became flesh. He was always a divine person. He became a divine person who possessed humanity.
Book of Revelations chapter 12 has been interpreted as meaning that Mary was taken body and soul into heaven. (there are various versions...RC...King James...which is the REAL Bible???)
there are many explanations of how this fact is gleaned from Revelations Chapter 12(ie interpretation). and a Google search of Assumption of Mary, will put you in the middle of them(I could bore you with some of the various interpretations but I’m sure you are capable of perusing them yourself). How the Revelations Chapter 12 makes this stretch is unknown to me. Just remember, if your church was a Protestant rift church from the RC Church, then those who rifted originally believed in the Assumption of Mary and decided that the evidence was not, to their eyes, really there, so they schismed.
I neither agree or disagree with this. So much of the old and new testaments are obtuse in nature and easily read for whatever purpose you want to read into them.
I grew up believing in the Assumption. you grew up believing Mary was just a woman and less of an important part of your worship of Jesus Christ.
I have for the past 40 or so years been seeking a truth I have not found in any book, I am not holding my breath. it would be nice to wrap the whole thing up in a bow, but I tend to complicate things, so I am still searching.
that does not mean that you can’t embrace the facts as your pastor, or you determine they must mean...
Since we are made in the image of God, you must believe that you (your body) and your word (what you know and say), are two separate persons.
At least that seems to be the way you are interpretting John 1.
Paul describes the Christ as “the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature”. Gal. 1:15
And: “God..spoken to us by his Son,....the express image of his person..” Heb. 1:1-3
Jesus Christ was quite blunt about it: “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him”(not them)”must worship him in apirit and in truth”. John 4:23,24
The MAN Christ Jesus was quite clear, throughout the Book of John, that everything divine (including the Holy Ghost) was sourced back to the Father. And since he declared that the Father is in him, he in the Father, when one is praising Jesus Christ, one IS praising the Father.
**if your church was a Protestant rift church from the RC Church**
I am of the belief that the RC church is a rift, possibly one of the first rifts from the original, true, church founded by Jesus Christ.
Rev. 12 is about the nation of Israel, which is used in the feminine in many places in OT prophecy. Verse 6 says: “And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and three threescore days”.
**I have for the past 40 or so years been seeking a truth I have not found in any book,..**
Your honesty is to be commended. The truth is in the written Word. Rightly dividing it is the key. Some folks are so confused from all the man-made traditions, that have been mixed with the teachings of the Word, that they don’t know how to see truth. God does not fail to send a true witness to the hungry soul. That much I am sure of.
I’ve been hungry for many decades. No sustenance. Don’t expect it. have done plenty of reading. Unless you go into it with unswerving faith, you can read all you want and it will not help.
Yes the RC was an amalgamation of many odd original Christian sects. But if Peter was her first Pope then it would be the original. I suppose Coptic Christians might draw from the original due to their geographic location. Of course I am just speculating.
Anyway Good luck.
“Since we are made in the image of God, you must believe that you (your body) and your word (what you know and say), are two separate persons.”
No. I am only one person. No person can be more than one person. There are three Divine Persons in the Godhead, but all of them are only One Person in themselves.
“At least that seems to be the way you are interpretting John 1.”
Nope.
“Paul describes the Christ as the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature. Gal. 1:15”
And?
“And: God..spoken to us by his Son,....the express image of his person.. Heb. 1:1-3”
And?
“Jesus Christ was quite blunt about it: But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him(not them)must worship him in apirit and in truth. John 4:23,24”
The Father is spirit. Jesus is flesh since the Incarnation.
“The MAN Christ Jesus was quite clear, throughout the Book of John, that everything divine (including the Holy Ghost) was sourced back to the Father. And since he declared that the Father is in him, he in the Father, when one is praising Jesus Christ, one IS praising the Father.”
Jesus is the God-man. He is all God. He is all man. He is one Person, a Divine Person who took on humanity out of love for us.
