Our dear friend Mustang asked to have this prayer request posted for him.
Prayer Request For My Wife From Mustang | 10/28/2003 4:49 AM EST
Last month, we found out that my wife, Pat, has lung cancer.
After numerous tests, the onocologist and surgeon determined that surgery was not possible. So, the next option is chemo, radiation, or a combination of both.
We're scheduled this week for more tests and guidance on what will be the best therapy.
We would deeply appreciate your prayers.

Pat and I are overwhelmed with gratitude for your prayers, thoughts and support.
These last few days we were gathering all of Pat's medical information: Cat scans, PET scans, Biopsy results, PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) results, our local Oncologist and Thoracic surgeon's opinions. Based upon the results of Pat's PFT results it was determined surgery was "not" possible due the condition of her remaining lung capacity.
Still, we wanted a second opinion. Our daughter's husband is closely associated with some of the best cancer specialists in the Boston area (he's a medical researcher in the New England area). He scheduled an appointment for Pat at Brigham & Women's Hospital/Harvard Medical School next week. If it's determined surgery is definetly not an option, we'll be reurning to Florida for a chemo/and or radiation therapy. Pat and I will keep you all informed.
Again, We thank each and everyone of our fellow FReepers for your prayers and support.
