I don't understand how anyone thinks that the legislature overrode a constitutional right. When did we as a country allow one judge to kill someone because a spouse gives hearsay evidence years after the fact? The constitutional right being violated is Terri's fundamental right to life. The Americans with Disabilites Act was suppose to protect those rights and the state of Florida decided to override those rights.

That's an interesting point; I'd not thought about him having to pay alimony. It's not a sticking point in the deal for me. Just let him be GONE already, out of her life, out of our lives!

How much more must Terri's family feel that way after all these years of mental abuse.

Substantiation of mental abuse to her family, one example -- Michael kept Terri's family from visiting her at the hospital last Tues PM and all day Weds. Then finally they're told they're allowed to visit her, go in to see her . . . and are told by hosp. staff, "She's not here; we don't know where she is . . ." The family had no idea where Terri was, what condition she was in, was she even alive?

BTW, the idea of collecting from Terri's supporters to pay Michael off was further refined here on FR to include sending him to a tropical island without extradition to US. After all I've seen & read that it might need to be a bigger island, since others are complicit in the injustice against Terri -- imho, of course. Just a matter of time -- I'm hoping and praying!

Nice post! I agree. This is based on REMEMBERED YEARS LATER heresay evidence, to boot! And when one considers all of the INFORMATION and AFFIDAVITS that this judge had thrown out...it tears your HEART out that the Schindlers have been subjected to this hell for so long. I hate that. So much.

Ahnya-I have twice talked to a man who is on the executive board for Florida Hospice. His name is Mike Bell. I believe he is a VP in charge of community relations, or media, whatever. Not sure.

I had questions about why Terri had been allowed to fester in a Hospice where her diagnosis did not fit the Hospice foundations stated parameters for patient acceptance.Really got no good answer.

I am wondering...if HE is related to the Supreme Court Judge...(tin foil hat time) BECAUSE that would indicate a conflict of interest.

It is my believe that a Federal Investigation of the Hospice Assc of Florida and maybe even a wider net-maybe nationally-needs to be done.

The connections between Woodside Hospice, and Judge Greer, and Lenderman (bench buddy) and Felos is getting to much to swallow. Worse, if they all have info on each other that could ruin careers-this becomes a cover your ass judgement against terri that crys out for justice.

I very much want to email Judge Greer with some pointed questions...and now have to remember where his court email address is located..yikes! This is getting dirtier by the hour.

Cyn, babe, from your hours at the vigil you wrote on this thread that you heard about the ER personal, when Terri was first admitted after her injury, concerned about abuse and that the police were notified and immediately asked Bob Schindler, father, if he suspected any foul play. To which he answered NO at the time...like most people would if they were in shock and unaware.

I wonder if there are any affidavits from the ER personel as to this aspect, and what caused their concern, and if not, would it be possible to uncover their names somehow and motivate them to come forward...because...this story you repeated here, granted heresay right now, tells me the instruments in the ER room did not track heart attack symtoms.

The Advocacy Center is actively investigating the case. They are the ones with the authority to do so.

The Center is presently making demands in order to acquire reports and records necessary to undertake a thorough and impartial investigation of complaints we have received.

We see some of it here, though not as much as that site. This is FR afterall. : )

These people are either just plain ignorant or evil. Some are unable to wrap their minds around the facts and issues at stake. Some don't care to. The one's who don't understand are the one's we can change.

So many still just accept the short snippets they are told by the media, a right-to-die case. They dehumanize Terri because of her condition. It's painful to empathize with Terri and easier to discredit her existence by telling themselves that she's merely a 'vegetable'. Some just are cold and callous.

Disabled groups all over should be outraged, as should women's rights groups. Like that'll ever happen. How many times have you read other's thoughts that she should be killed because she's useless? That the money spent on her should be put to better use, on other, better people I suppose. Or the thought that because she's married, the husband basically owns her. Shameful.

We are constantly barraged with arguments that Terri will never recover and that her condition was self-inflicted. We are called ghouls for fighting for her life, called this by people who want to see another starved to death. The pro-death side is throwing around all manner of deceit. It's an attempt to divert attention from the heart of the matter, does a disability render a person less than human in the eyes of the state?

I'm still in shock that the judge ever allowed Felos to be council for Terri. He has an obvious conflict of interest. He's seriously into euthanasia, his personal agenda should squarely place him outside of Terri's best interests. He's mentioned a book on the case, in which his monetary outlook is much brighter should he win by having Terri killed. He was on the board of the hospice that benefits by having her killed at their business. Then we come to his character. Downing planes with his mind, telepathically discerning that the Browning woman wanted to die, making the implication that Terri may have done the same, etc. I can't decide if I think he's just a don't-care-for-the-sanctity-of-life leftist kook, or a would-be Bundy who gets off on his power to have the state do his bidding.
