She's very lucky a federal marshall wasn't on board.
"The congregation in July moved into the 16,000-seat Compaq Center."
'This Sunday's service sponsored by our good friends at Compaq!'?
Shades of Tammy Faye?
As a devout believer, I would have to say that the number one problem in Christianity today is Christians.....
I agree.
Everyone has bad days don't you think?
True :(
When you are in the spotlight like the Osteen's you have to work twice as hard to avoid crap like this.
Just as an aside, I am an evangelical Christian but Joel Osteen tends to turn my stomach. The Bible is the ultimate "self help"; why do we need corny lectures and books on self help topics from Mr. Osteen?
I'm just glad that we don't have to deal with the Lakewood congregation when they use Minute Maid baseball park (which is next to our Church in downtown Houston) for their bigger services. We've been late to Mass because of traffic jams getting off the freeway!
Hmmm....Sounds like Victoria should get one for Christmas.
Pride goeth before a fall.
Flying 1st class to Vail!

One of his suits costs more than my entire wardrobe!

Yep, we all have bad days, but our detractors don't allow us to react to them - to someone looking for faults, we arent' allowed anything less than perfection.
That won't "ultimately" work as an excuse for their decision about eternity, but they will try to use it right now, and talk about how they are no worse than, or ever better than Christians...
I just pray I don't lose it on a bad day when someone like that is watching. Not because of my embarrassment, but because I don't want to be their excuse for not coming to Christ.
He does tend to water things down, doesn't he?
Pastors of big churches sometimes have wives that are less than ladies and more like b-------. Of course that applies to men of other professions wives, too.

Hmmm.... Flying first class to Colorado and upset her tray table is not to her liking which I can only imagine is because she didn't want to stain her bible whilst preparing for the family missionary work to the poor and destitute of Vail. Yep, seems logical to me...
