Urgent Prayer Request: Pastor and Wife in Auto Accident (Update at #152)
Word from my Dad | 02/16/2006 | Aracelis

Posted on 02/16/2006 10:20:55 PM PST by Aracelis

Earlier this evening, our pastor and his wife were involved in a terrible auto accident near Rockford, Illinois. Carlton is 67, and Lily is 65. Neither have been in good health for quite some time, and Lily suffered a major stroke several months ago which has left her unable to feed or care for herself.

Both Carlton and Lily have suffered multiple fractures of the ribs and hips as a result of this accident. Carlton's blood pressure is dangerously low, and he is really not aware of his surroundings. As Lily cannot talk, no one is quite sure just yet of her level of awareness.

Compounding this problem is their financial state. The church has never seen fit to pay Carlton very much for his dedication and devotion, nor have they provided any sort of medical insurance for Carlton and Lily. My Dad has had to fight tooth-and-nail just to get minimal raises for Carlton over the years.

Their daughters, Carlene and Joanna, have been doing their best to care for their parents, but neither of them are in good health either...Joanna had a heart attack a few years ago.

Would you please pray for miraculous healing for these two very precious souls? Joanna needs prayer support also, as she was driving at the time they were broadsided, and feels very guilty.

Thank you all so very much!

My prayers for Pastor Carlton and his wife Lily, especially, she was struck when her body was already damaged...Lord, let her soul and her spirit that has rejoiced in your presence all these years still be joyful even now.

I pray that Pastor Carlton will lead his flock in prayer, every morning and every night, wherever they may be, until he is back greeting them into our Lord's House, and that by this weekend's service there is joyful news for this servant of God.

Make sure you contact any circle of Pastors of any association that asembly might have been involved with, from old Bible conferences or something

They might be able to help financially

Prayers (for miracles) for all concerned! May God bless them for their sacrifice and dedication in the face of the treatment they have received. I also pray that someone will step forward in that community and pay their medical bills.
