Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

Rudy was a fool to store fuel in the WTC

Say what?

Have you read the entire thread and seen what was written?

Or are you just going on emotions?

Maybe you should read what was said before being to hasty in your retreat.

And yes, they were banned.

Only here a second longer, but I hear a long winded opus coming up soon.

Real conservatives can deal with opposing opinions.

Peach has done a lot for this forum, as has Mia T. I'm not a Rudy supporter, but I don't hate those who are.

Last post.

Bye.

I have been accused by some of 'slandering Reagan' as well simply by pointing out the historic truth of his presidency relative to the 'he was perfect and everyone loved him' tripe that I read ad nauseum from people whose only goal is to bash our current great President.

As I said. Reason. Truth. They are important to me.

Damage has clearly been done. Whether or not it's irreparable is all that's in question.

"Peach was a fine freeper, and IS a top quality human being. She just chose to support the wrong guy, and not back down from it. That was her grave sin."

Don't cry about it. It's Jim's site and he can resist liberal agenda takeovers as he wishes.

BTW somehow I doubt you were upset when fine Freeper Buchanan supporters were dropped.

Yes. It seems saying a simple ‘goodbye’ is not easy to do.

You do know that Reagan signed what was then the most liberal abortion bill our country had ever seen, right?

Yes, and as soon as Reagan realized the wanton slaughter that came with Roe v. Wade he immediately reversed his position.

And in management’s view, if you are at all pro choice, you’re an abortionist.

A person is either 100% opposed to infancide or they are in favor of it.

But it wasn’t just ‘opposing opinions’.

It was almost a complete tearing down of conservatives such as Ronald Reagan and complete, unworthy disrespect for the owner of this site.

I oppose rudy with everything i’bve got...but if we have three major candidates in 2008, Hillary wins. That is not an option.

They are malcontents alright............but is it just 'a few?' I'm not sure.

Tedious, yes. The truth blows them to smithereens, though. My posts speak for themselves as well.

59,000 posts........some silly (OK......well quite a few :), some sarcastic, some irritated, but not a single one anything but conservative. Six years of proof is hard to counter by emotional drivel.

Yep. When someone starts claiming that Ronald Reagan was pro-abortion, they have clearly crossed the line.

I’d love to have 100 more Ron Pauls, if they replaced 100 liberal democrats. :-)

LOL! Correction noted and agreed.

(And I wasn't around in Buchanen days, so your dopey hypothesis about me falls flat).

Thanks for the ping to this post, OP.

...after a freeper tried to tell me that the majority of GOPers were pro-choice in 1948 on the basis of that "government did not have the right to force a woman to give birth to an unwanted child"

The notion that this type of idiotic popular slogan was in vogue among the majority of the Republican party in 1948 in highly unlikely, to say the least. It is a wishful, anachronistic misprepresentation of history.

Cordially,
