Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

“If as many accounts have been banned over this as it appears, please close my account as well.”

You would be wrong to assume the reason these accounts have been banned is because of “opposing opinions”. You ought to educate yourself before walking out of here by reading all of the posts from those who got banned. After you do that, go read the mission statement of FR, then ask yourself why it was wrong for JR to ban these specific posters. JR did everything in his power not to ban them, but they practically insisted upon it. Read the posts then decide.

“This place abides plenty of dissent. No one was louder or more raucous than me during Harriett Miers, etc...but you have to know when to knock it off.”

Agreed. It helps to address the other person’s ideas, not their person (not that any of us are perfect in that regard, but hey.)

You have just spoken well and you support a liberal candidate. But you have supported your man and your position in the correct way. You used logic and persuasion.

You write that we are alienating a vital segment of the party, perhaps so. But that segment of the party is in many cases, closer to our enemies politically, than to us. When they attempt to nominate a man so repulsive to everything we believe, there is no room for compromise.

Add that to the fact that they let us know they didn’t need us to do as they wished. Their tone was the same elitist, dismissive rhetoric used by their cousins, the Democrats.

A Republican primary is a family fight. That’s what you are observing. If these Rudy people, who tell us to select their candidate or elect Hillary Clinton, will likewise not support anyone else against her, then they are hypocrites and frauds. My best to you.

Nonsense. We’re not going to plow under our core Republican principles and conservative values to “win” with Giuliani the abortionist liberal. Giuliani wins, we all lose. We have plenty of qualified conservatives running. We don’t need to accept an abortionist to save ourselves from abortion. As I’ve said many times before, our God-given rights to Life and Liberty are not open to debate, negotiation, or compromise. That’s just the way it is.

I've supported the stated goals of FR in detail over the course of seven years. The only ones "disrupting" are those who oppose those goals and attack the conservatives who share that agenda. Like you, troll. You fit in here as well as a skunk at a garden party.

Ok.

Rationally.

Who are some of Rudy’s friends?

True, some are Republicans. But many are democrats.
Sure there are a ‘few’ good democrats, although they can be counted generally on two fingers.
But,do you really think,if Rudy makes it to the Whitehouse, he will just ignore his democrat friends and chose only the republicans ones? Totally ignoring his own ‘agenda’ which he has stated time an again as ‘gun control’and ‘Publicly PAID abortions’? Of course not.

And even his statement of appointing ‘Strict Constructionists’ to the SCOTUS does not ease anyones anxiety. By who’s definition are they going to be ‘Strict Constructionists’?

If you listen to a Democrat, a Justice like Ruth Bader Ginsberg is a ‘Strict Constructionist’.

And if you think a Rudy Presidency would have no effect on Abortion or Gun control, then you don’t realize who signs the bills that Congress passes and who signs the VETOES.

I’m sorry. But to compromise your ‘principals’ for a win, is no win at all. Just a delay of the inevitable loss of all ‘Conservative’ ideals.

I’ll pass on Rudy. Thanks anyway.

I'm firmly of that mindset, as well. It's time to draw the line, take a stand, and the RNC either listens and acts appropriately, or implodes.

My family and I are of the same mindset as well.

Yes, of course. Even Aristotle knew, and wrote, that not every life was worth living.

Yeah, and this guy could pick out who they were.

Yep. You sure are showing all of us a better way.

Are you sure this is the forum you meant to come to? I don't think your beliefs fit in here.

Yes. It is clear when Mr. Robinson is becoming irritated. When he said, “Stop the Bushbot stuff,” I stopped. He didn’t have to write to me. But I knew I was giving offense. So I cooled my jets for awhile.

The Rudy people ran through every stop sign and raced right off a cliff. Well now they have their own board. They can worship him all they want, 24 hours a day. I’m happy and thrilled for them.

I’m sure that statement is why Mia T was banned, Politicalmom. She made those statements because she believes that those statements are true, not because she wants to put us down.

I know Mia T and she has said those things to me before. We’ve debated those things many times. Her motives are good. She believes the RR will be the first to be destroyed by the Clintons. As a Jew, she is especially vigilant about such hatred.

Did you ever read her warning to the RR? She made 2 posts on this awhile back. I don’t remember the titles of the threads, but you can hear Bill Clinton tell blacks in a church that the Religious Right is as dangerous as the Islamofascist terrorists.

That statement of Mia T’s that you quote is true or false on its own. It is about the function and power of the president, the history and danger of Hillary Clinton and the effect of our vote. Your comments raise important things but are about something else, not about whether the statement by Mia is true or false.
