"I speak for at least half the people here, including the Founder Jim Robinson, who has stated he will not vote for Giuliani under any circumstance."
Agree.
Don't Cut and Run, vote pro-life every time. It's the way you always win.
We cannot diminish the value of one category of human life the unborn without diminishing the value of all human life. Ronald Reagan
Honestly, I don’t see what’s so difficult about it. I might have to go elsewhere to find a WAnker to ask.
Well, I’m sure you’ll get a straight answer from THEM!
And what do you propose is done then? With the public roughly split on the abortion issue you're not simply going to outlaw abortion overnight no matter who is elected.
Here in the real world small steps have to be taken. It may seem harsh but that is the reality. Much as in WWII when we knew about the Holocaust yet still did not attack the concentration camps because there was no realistic way to do so. People had to continue to die while we slowly worked our way forward. Same with the abortion issue today or any other issue for that matter. If you want change, you have to work small steps at a time.
Tell it to the babies who died today, ripped limb from limb, or with their skin burned off with saline.
Or, even better, tell it to the 4000 or so American children who, though they rest peacefully in their mother’s womb tonight, tomorrow will be brutally done to death.
The American people have a small window in which they have enough power left to take this country back from those hate God, and despise life and liberty. They better exercise it soon.
Once again I ask what would you see done? And I mean realistic solutions, not some idealistic hope that all of a sudden abortion will become illegal if only the right person is in charge.
Only elect men and women who understand the basic scientific fact that an unborn child is a person, and is therefore protected by the Fifth and the Fourteenth Amendments. Reject any candidate who rejects this.
I thought Bob Dole lacked charisma... Ay time "lacking charisma" comes up, the story ends with Bob Dole... ;)
Hunter and Tancredo lack to name not to mention facial recognition necessary in a serious modern campaign.
Too early to say anything yet... many come from behind.
I have that woozy nauseous feeling that come November we'll be faced with two choices: vote for Guliani and then puke in the bushes outside, or have a Hillary Clinton presidency and suffer through at least four years of liberal Democrat dominance.
No "we" involved. If it is Giuliani, I will be voting for Hunter.
Nah. Pro-life will survive 4 years of Hillary as it did 8 years of Bill but 4 years of pro-abortion RINO-Rudy will spell disaster because neither party will represent the unborn. Hence as JR, et al, have been telling you is that if Rudy is nominated there will be another party and it will be pro-life.
Perfect!
As long as their is a major party to fight the enemy, we're okay. When both major parties become the enemy, we are in peril.
In summary, I think there is no reason to turn the conservative GOP into a RINO party. Voting for Rudy would allow him to claim a mandate that such a change is validated.
But if there are more Republicans, than not, who support such a position change, then those who do not should form a separate social conservative party. I think nothing is more important than life for America's future. I want that in my political party and its candidates.
So if someone is conservative in most areas except abortion we should reject them? What if they are largely against abortion except in some areas? Reject them as well? That may sound nice, but as I pointed out earlier the public is largely divided on the abortion issue. That and not everyone fits solidly into one camp or the other. Politics is about compromise. There are times where you have to get less than what you ideally want because that's the only realistic choice.
See my tagline.
That’s nice, but there is a difference when dealing with an enemy and dealing with politics. Liberals and Democrats may be wrong, and foolishly wrong at that, but they are not an enemy that must be destroyed. In politics, if you are not willing to compromise at times you will fail. The public as a whole does not fit neatly into one camp or the other. Unless you can persuade those in the middle you will not see success. The only way the abortion situation in this country will ever see change is gradually. That is the reality.
Well, that’s the difference between you and me.
I can see that this is a war, and you think it’s pattycake.
Unfortunately for your position, the Left knows it is a war, and fights accordingly.
You really think this is a war? That liberals should be destroyed? Because that's what a war entails.
Once again, if you want to see success you have to find ways of working with liberals and moderates in order to persuade them your views are the correct ones. Treating them as an enemy, calling them evil or any other ad hominems that are directed towards those that are not opposed to abortion is not going to persuade people you are right, instead it chases them away.
Calling those who commit or empower abortion “evil” is not an ad hominem. It is a simple factual statement. And I could care less where a straightforward statement of the truth “chases” them. That is between them and God.
So you're not actually concerned with seeing abortion reduced, just looking good in the eyes of God? That's some arrogance. If you really where concerned about seeing abortion reduced you would care how your statements chase people away. If your actions persuade people that maybe the other side is more rational, how will that help?
We are still fighting using the soapbox and the ballot box, not the ammo box. So, yes, I think that every liberal, and every individual who gives them aid and comfort, should be politically destroyed. You bet.
Those who think they can play footsie with "moderates" and liberals - the same animal, actually - and do anything except empower the left's agenda, are naive, at best. This game has been played out for decades in DC, always with the same result: the further destruction of our free republic, and the continued growth of the anti-God, anti-life, liberty-despising socialist state.
At worst, they're something far more sinister: Corrupt deceivers, wearing a mask of conservatism - but no better in any respect that matters than the most craven Democrat.
