Prayer Request for FReeper redrock passed away 10/6/10
Vanity | A FRiend

Posted on 05/07/2008 3:20:31 AM PDT by Kathy in Alaska

Prayers needed for our FReeper FRiend redrock.

Mike was diagnosed with esophageal cancer about 5 weeks ago.
He has finished his first round of chemo, and just started the second.

Many of you have been praying for him behind the scenes.

"I appreciate all the 'incognito' prayers....I know they make a difference."

The first round was rough, the second looks to be rougher.
He and his wife would appreciate your prayer support.

Continuing to keep Mike and his family in prayers.

Kathy, you do an awesome job with these updates and I want you to know you, too, are being held in prayer.

I’d like to send up prayers for all among us who are suffering, are lonely, are sick, are in pain or fear. This site has the most caring members of any I’ve ever posted on.

Got a couple of nice hugs from my girls for Fathers Day....and a really nice lounge chair for the back yard so I can heal up (like I like to) outdoors.
....and the hugs are the BEST part of Fathers Day.

Mike

Hugs and a lounge chair? That’s good medicine.

Do you remember that episode of The Waltons, when Grandpa was recovering from illness, and they moved his bed outside so he could be around the family and have fresh air. The doctor was not pleased, but by golly, it worked!

Happy Fathers Day!!!

How wonderful! Thanks for this post.

Mike, rest up well in that chair. Those hugs are some of the best medicine known.

I can heal up (like I like to) outdoors

that's good, looks like that Vitamin D is good for all sorts of things

Thanks for the ping to the update, and prayers continue!

BTW, Vitamin D is supposed to be good for the immune system, and the best way to get it is to relax in the sun wearing clothes only for modesty’s sake. In other words, the more skin exposed the more Vit D, because the body makes it all by itself! :D
