Pull the plug, Barack: It’s a mistake to try to ram through health care reform.  "The Great & Arrogant Oz-Bama is not going to stop. This is a scorched earth policy. His "reform" is about one thing, and one thing only. Control.""This isn't about us....it's about Obama and he does not care what it costs us - especially since he'll never be subject to this rotten bill. Remember when Michelle said that "Barack will demand"..."Barack won't let you"...etc etc. during the campaign?"

Meanwhile, also in Wisconsin, a much smaller and racially monochromatic “coffee party” event:

The tea party movement has been criticized for being “racist” because of the alleged lack of minority participation. The Milwaukee coffee party that I attended did not have a single member of any minority group, although I strongly suspect that the alternative lifestyles community was well represented.

Read the whole thing. "I was taking a personal bet at how long it was going to take for the issue to go from health care to Global Warming..."

"Thanks for the enlightening article. The coffee party is nothing but a bunch of stooges for Obama....Chock-Full-of-Nuts "

California unemployment and Oklahoma’s growth – it’s the ‘Grapes of Wrath’ in reverse.  ( not only is unemployment rising in California generally, but in 8 of the Golden State’s counties, the rate is above 20%:)

UPDATE: Reader Clifford Grout writes: “Wouldn’t that be the ‘Arugula of Wrath’?”

THE CROSS OF OBAMA. The New York Times editors are reminding me of this from Mike Huckabee.

UPDATE: Andrew Morriss writes:

Since I suspect the NYT editors are not familiar with Christian imagery, they might not realize that this is not the best time of year to associate Obama with a cross – we’re in the midst of Lent and still have the passion to come. The whole “suffers, dies and descends to hell” part might be a bit of the Easter story they’d rather not associate with Obama right now. Plus he’s sort of in the Caesar/Pilate/Herod role right now as president (depending on how powerful one thinks the president is). Maybe Easter bunnies and chocolate would be a better theme – I’d rather think of the health care plan as a free basket of chocolate brought by a magical animal than as something on which I am going to suffer and die to redeem the sins of others, even if the latter is a more accurate description.

Indeed.

Not content to show Obama with a halo, the New York Times is now creating images of him with a cross in the background.
Good grief. I guess the separation of church and state no longer applies when it comes to The Sainted One.

Update: Some thoughts from Doug Ross.
The White House, a tiny, nearly transparent reflection, is located below the President; it seemingly says that the man is bigger than the office. He is more real. He is more important. He is the One.

Good article. A question: did any other President have a personal logo or brand?? If not, wouldn’t that make Desiree right? I remember a picture of Oblama with Tiger Woods, and Oblama was wearing a cap with his own logo on it. Hubris. Nemesis. Obama. Go together like a horse and carriage....

So, does that make Rev. Jeremiah “G-D AmeriKKKa” Wright John the Baptist?

Code Red” - House Target List on Health Care

The National Republican Congressional Committee has published a target list on health care. In addition to continuing to contact the five Tennessee Democrat Congressmen, you can go http://www.votervoice.net/link/clickthrough/ext/94697.aspx to contact some of these targets. Much of the talk following Obama’s announcement has focused on how to defeat this second bill through reconciliation, but that is misleading because the first step to defeating Obamacare is not by concentrating on defeating the “fixer” bill but by defeating the Senate bill in the House when it goes to the floor for an up-or-down vote on Thursday, March 18th.

And here are toll-free numbers we can use to call any Senators or Reps.

At the first number below you must wait through a tape recording urging you to tell your Rep or Senator to vote “yes” for the health care bill. Just hang on and when the recording is over, you will get the Capitol operator. Just ask for your Rep or Senator’s office. Then you will either talk to an aid or have the chance to leave a message for him/her to vote NO on the health care bill.

When you use the second number and the Capitol operator comes on, just ask for your Rep or Senator’s office. Every time I use this number I get the Rep or Senator’s answer machine, so it may be set up that way all the time...to go to their answer machine. Either way you can leave a message to vote NO on the health care bill!

We need to use these toll free numbers that have been set up for the health care/ BO supporters and illegals to use! After all they are FREE!

Palin: 'This Is the Final Push!'

Obama: Bring on the bribes!

—Slublog

Desperation.

WASHINGTON — Still seeking votes for his proposed health care overhaul, President Barack Obama appears ready to reverse his position and allow unpopular deal-sweetening measures in the hopes of finding Democratic support for legislation whose future will be decided in coming days.

Increasingly eager to finish work on his top domestic priority, Obama was set to head to northeast Ohio on Monday with a final sales pitch for health care legislation that the top Democratic vote-counter in the House said lacked support to pass. Obama's top political adviser, David Axelrod, said he was "absolutely confident" the measure would pass during a make-or-break week that already saw the president delay his trip to Indonesia, Australia and Guam.

"This is the week where we will have this important vote," White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said. "I do think this is the climactic week for health care reform."

Clinching support, though, might require Obama to back away from his insistence that senators purge the legislation of a number of lawmakers' special deals.

Taking a new position, Axelrod said the White House only objects to state-specific arrangements, such as an increase in Medicaid funding for Nebraska, ridiculed as the "Cornhusker Kickback." That's being cut, but provisions that could affect more than one state are OK, Axelrod said.

Once again, this puts the lie to Obama's repeated statements accusing the GOP of standing in the way of healthcare reform. This bill is so toxic that the president is reduced to bribing members of his own party to get them to vote for it.

Just when I think the Obama administration and Congress have reached a new low, they prove me wrong and keep digging. This is a remarkably cynical move by an increasingly arrogant president. (h/t: Allahpundit)

Republicans should not get over confident

The Totalitarian Progressive controlled Democratic Party is on the ropes. They have suffered defeats for the Governorships in Virginia and New Jersey, as well as the Senate seat in Massachusetts. Current polls show them in trouble in both the 2010 Midterms for House and Senateseats. The Eugenics based Health Care plan is extremely unpopular, yet Barack Hussein Obama is pushing ahead with his agenda. The Progressives have waited 100 years for this moment to implement their Neo-Feudal agenda and they will not let this slip by. They will use or do anything to maintain power.

Democrats need to understand that an angry electorate is quite likely to turn on the party that controls all the levers of power (House, Senate and presidency). Voting out Republican incumbents will only perpetuate the status quo. That is why angry voters in 1994 and 2006 turned out only members of the majority party.

Instead of focusing legislative energy on health care, gays in the military and cap and trade, the Democrats should be laser-focused on jobs. Unemployment forms the underpinnings for voter discontent. All other problems will be exaggerated until the recession is under control because, to voters, a jobless recovery is no recovery at all. A year after passing the stimulus, Democrats own the economy in voters’ eyes.

Read more here: GOP surges, but storm could fade

The Republican Party better prepare for total war with the Democrats. The Progressives are vile and ruthless. They have no scruples and will do everything to win. If the GOP follows their typical lets be nice campaign, they will have lost an opportunity to cripple the Left. No mercy and respect is to be given the Totalitarian Progressives. They are the enemy and must be treated as such.

Obama, Pelosi Double-Down on Pure Hardcore Left-Liberalism

—Ace

Madame Palomino is unabashed about declaring health care reform the first step in a fundamental reordering of America along far more socialistic lines.

Also in Allah's post is this interesting piece by Peter Beinart, worth reading in full. But here's a taste. The term "Superjumbo Democrat" means much as you might guess it does -- the metaphor is to Boeing building superjumbo planes even when the market doesn't want them, thus strengthening its brand. A superjumbo Democrat, then, pursues hardcore liberalism even when the public doesn't want it, in the belief that... I don't know. That for some reason the public learns to respect Democrats for doing the opposite of what they ask of them.

"The bear" is the American public -- for years cautious DLC types argued that liberals mustn't "scare the bear." Obama, Pelosi, Reid et al. have decided to call the bear's bluff and to try to back the bear down.

27 Just heard a news clip of Der Fuehrer Obama ranting and raving at some health-care rally, sounding for all the world like some South American dictator.

This jug-eared mother buggerer is going to have the biggest public Presidential meltdown we've ever seen well before his term is up.

"The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to an electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The public can survive a Barack Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president...."

It's an obvious photoshop, and the point is shredding the Constitution.

I have no idea what the originator had in mind with the flag.

My wife, Diana Price, attended the protest organized by several Ohio Tea Party Patriot and 9:12 groups. The Presidential motorcade swept by shortly afterwards. Not a bad turnout for a cold, drizzly Monday morning.

SO IS THIS THE HOPE, OR THE CHANGE? U.S. residents ‘losing faith’ in American Dream, new poll shows.

ANOTHER OBAMACARE PROP-PATIENT doesn’t live up to the hype.

A commenter wonders: Are there any real people supporting ObamaCare?

UPDATE: Reader Barry Dauphin writes: “That’s the best he can do to convince folks to support the bill? She lost her job 12 years ago, qualifies for aid, is being cared for and won’t lose her house. And they wonder why they’re in trouble.”

Swing districts oppose ObamaCare.

UPDATE: Run away! “Obama keeps telling his fellow Democrats that ObamaCare will cure what ails them. But the facts — polls and the behavior of candidates – tell us otherwise. . . . We’ve seen this before, as Democrats in swing states steer clear of Obama. And given the polling data in Ohio, it isn’t surprising that a Democrat would want to evade the president.”

ANOTHER UPDATE: Robert Bidinotto writes:

The real story in that poll is not merely that “swing-district voters oppose ObamaCare.” No, the real story in that poll is that voters will punish their congressman if he votes FOR ObamaCare, but they will treat him better at the polls if he votes “NO.”

This far more pointed and potent message just isn’t getting through, Glenn. It directly refutes the White House narrative, which says the opposite: that if ObamaCare fails, swing-state Dems will suffer more in November. That Big Lie has now been poll-tested, and proved false. If this message gets through to the swing-state Dems, I believe ObamaCare goes down to defeat this week.

Oh, I think the message may be getting through.

Nanny Nancy lines up the kiddie human shields

It’s Demcare crunch time. Bring out more babies! The House Speaker surrounded herself this afternoon with a fresh batch of kiddie human shields:

The caption on the Yahoo! News/AP pic reads: “House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of Calif. takes part in a news conference on Capitol Hill in Washington, Monday, March 15, 2010, following a meeting with children’s advocates to discuss health care overhaul legislation.”

Just a reminder of how Nancy Pelosi really views those infant props – from January 2009:

STEPHANOPOULOS: Hundreds of millions of dollars to expand family planning services. How is that stimulus?

PELOSI: Well, the family planning services reduce cost. They reduce cost. The states are in terrible fiscal budget crises now and part of what we do for children’s health, education and some of those elements are to help the states meet their financial needs. One of those – one of the initiatives you mentioned, the contraception, will reduce costs to the states and to the federal government.

STEPHANOPOULOS: So no apologies for that?

PELOSI: No apologies. No. We have to deal with the consequences of the downturn in our economy.

As for the young men on Capitol Hill whom Democrat Rep. Eric Massa allegedly groped at his creepy playhouse, Pelosi remains coldly indifferent.

The GOP House Leader’s office remains on the case: Massa Mess: Democratic Leaders Leave Questions Unanswered.

Somebody Fainted At Obama’s Speech

March 15th, 2010

From The Hill:

Audience member faints at Obama rally

By Eric Zimmermann – 03/15/10

An audience member seems to have fainted during President Obama’s speech in Ohio just now.

Obama briefly stopped his speech and asked for a medic to make his way to the individual.

"Just give him some space," Obama said, before resuming his speech.

Man, they really are pulling out all the stops.

Or maybe the gentleman in question was just overcome with the same reverence for our President that the New York Times was expressing with the image they posted of him yesterday (above).

Or perhaps the poor fellow was just finally ‘worn down.’

For as Mr. Obama remarked in St. Louis last week, “People are telling me ‘don’t get worn down.” I tell them I don’t get worn down; I wear them down.”

And that he does.

I had no plans to purchase Karl Rove’s book, Courage and Consequence: My Life as a Conservative in the Fight. We’re trying to cut back on spending around here, for one thing, and Lent is leaving me reluctant to engage, for another. And after passionately defending Bush for so many years, I am also just sort of exhausted on the whole subject of his presidency, and feel like I need a little break.

But I may pick it up now, after reading Rove’s interview with John Hawkins, which is pretty good. With a brief set of questions, some of them tough, Hawkins piqued my interest. I was particularly struck by this:

One of the things that has puzzled conservatives about the Bush presidency, particularly in the second term — and I’ve heard this again and again and again — is they don’t feel like there was an effective communication strategy. The general feeling was that the Left turned George Bush into a punching bag and just beat him into the ground, while the White House really didn’t do much to stop it. Can you talk about that a little bit?

Well, I do think that there are instances, particularly on the issue of Iraq’s WMDs, where the administration didn’t punch back hard enough. I talk about that at length in the book.

It’s principally my responsibility because I should have seen it for what it was, which was a corrosive dagger aimed at the heart of the Bush Administration. But I would say this: in the last two years of the term, Bush was on the receiving end of daily blows from every Democratic presidential candidate and it was impossible for me to respond to those. The Republicans were disorganized, distressed, and didn’t come to his aid while others said the President can defend himself.

But when you’re receiving daily blows like that, you can either do your job or defend yourself, but you can’t do both every single day. It’s just the way life works.

I couldn’t help sputtering a little; Rove did not realize that the daily pounding about WMD was “a corrosive knife aimed at the heart” of Bush’s presidency? How could he not, when the rest of us saw it so clearly, did battle over it, and still -to this day- find ourselves having to answer the mindless, specious charge “Bush lied about WMD!” that has become so entrenched in our national narrative?

As to why Bush did not “hit back,” I have my own theories about that.

There are other interesting parts. Rove talks a little about minding the fact that while the press and the democrats had a free-for-all about him, his family and kids had to hear it. Politics is a rough game, but it has always surprised me, how viciously the press can let loose about politicians, without considering what it does to spouses and children -until they have to consider what their own kids are hearing about them. No one’s kids should have to be victims of politically expedient hate, but Rove actually helped a journalist not have to see his child upset, at one point. That journalist did not return the favor.

I am also struck by Rove’s defense of Bush’s run against John Kerry in ‘04:

. . .the Democratic Party was united, the country was in an unpopular war, and I repeat, the Democrats outspent us by $124 million. Six or seven million dollars came from George Soros and an equal amount came from five of his friends. That’s the kind of disadvantage that we faced and we won.

Rove forgot something. He forgot that the Democrats not only outspent the GOP, they also had the press promising (by way of Newsweek’s Evan Thomas) to deliver 10-15% of the vote Kerry’s way, and the MSM did manage to do something like that. They carried Kerry’s water, called him “brilliant” while neglecting to look at his college transcripts (after the election, it was revealed Kerry’s grades were worse than Bush’s “gentleman’s ‘C’”) or demand to see his military records (even as they went through Bush’s with a fine-toothed comb and even made stuff up). They demonized the Swift Boat Vets who questioned Kerry’s fitness for office, and in all ways protected the Democrat candidate while beating daily on Bush.

Taken singly, it was sound and fury, signifying nothing, but taken all together, the daily pounding was effective.

The press understood how successfully they had enhanced the Kerry campaign, and I believe it is one of the reasons they were so bold about going “all in” with Obama. They repeated the strategy of protection; of not asking the candidate any tough questions, or looking at his history or his associates, all while administering daily beatings to the opposition. Admittedly, they had a more difficult time beating on McCain, who was a weak candidate, because they’d spent the last 8 years calling him the “good” sort of conservative, when doing so could hurt Bush. But then McCain brought Sarah Palin into the picture, and the press managed to savage her in an unprecedented manner, even before she made her own mistakes, to excellent effect. The press did not manage to win the presidency for John Kerry; they made sure they could deliver it to the “sort of God”, Barack Obama, using the lessons they learned during the Bush-Kerry campaigns. I have no idea if Rove talks about this in the book; I hope so.

Not a bad little interview, although I was surprised that Hawkins began it with a question about Palin. Really? First question, out of the box, about Palin? For me that betrays a bit of GOP-obsession on Palin that worries me. I am afraid some are building too much on that lady. Like the girl with the curl in the middle of her forehead, when Palin is good -as before a crowd- she is very very good. But when she is bad, she is horrid.

Clever Photoshop Making The Rounds?

Home - by BigFurHat - March 15, 2010 - 22:43 America/Chicago - 8 Comments

Update: This is getting interesting. There are lots of sites that have the pic which clearly shows Karl Marx on the apple. Mediaite has it. So does the Examiner. Everyone but Newsweek. Strange. Now I want to see the printed cover before I say Hillbuzz is definitely wrong. Newsweek’s version is lower res than the rest of the other sites pics, but you can still clearly see that the Newsweek pic is not going to depict what the others show.

We love Hillbuzz, but as an agitpropist I have to say that I don’t think the pic they’ve posted depicting this week’s Newsweek cover is actually the real cover. I think it’s a photoshop – and a damn funny one.

Honest to God, the Comic Opera aspects of this Confederacy of Dunces are bottomless.

Here’s a question for legal minds out there, that we’ve been unable to resolve here at Buzzquarters.

It took a constitutional amendment to allow the federal government to collect income tax.

It couldn’t just decide one day it wanted to take money away from people.  It had to amend the Constitution to do that.

Because, otherwise, what it was trying to force upon people was illegal.

Nowhere in the Constitution is a provision that allows the federal government to force citizens to buy products...

March 15, 2010 at 11:15 pm

I have had the same question. If they can force us to buy insurance, then they can force us to buy anything which means WE HAVE NO FREEDOM.

Progressives admit Eugenics is the goal of Obamacare

by Rodan ( 166 Comments › )
Filed under Barack Obama, Communism, Democratic Party, Economy, Elections 2010, Healthcare, Liberal Fascism, Progressives, Tranzis, Uncategorized at March 15th, 2010 - 6:30 pm

The case I have been making here on Blogmocracy that Eugenics is goal for Obamacare has been confirmed. Pro-Left Democrat Bart Stupak of Michigan has said that the reason they are pushing for abortion subsidies is because the procedure saves costs. You read that correct, The Progressives support Abortions because it is a component of Eugenics. The Left seeks to use this procedure as a way to reduce populations. Who will determine when abortions are needed? Well the answer is the Government since they will be controlling Health care.

What are Democratic leaders saying? “If you pass the Stupak amendment, more children will be born, and therefore it will cost us millions more. That’s one of the arguments I’ve been hearing,” Stupak says. “Money is their hang-up. Is this how we now value life in America? If money is the issue–come on, we can find room in the budget. This is life we’re talking about.”

What Stupak is hearing from his colleagues is not the pro-choice argument that the government should permit abortion as a matter of individual liberty. Rather, they claim that the government should encourage abortion as a social expedient–a cost-cutting measure.

Read the rest: ObamaCare and Eugenics

This is disturbing and no matter where one stands on the Abortion debate, this is wrong. Abortions being used for cost saving measures is criminal and anti-Human. Who will be forced to have abortion? The answer is simple, those the Progressives deem undesirable. This type of Ideology is what we fought against in WW2 and the Cold War, now that enemy is in charge.

I am trying to stop ObamaCare by faxing a lot.

For those with some money ($15, $35, or $75), Grassfire Nation will fax your message to a list of Congressmen (17, 52, or 132 leaders) for you:
http://www.grassfire.com/3122/offer.asp

Grassfire also has a Stop ObamaCare petition.

My hubbers tells me my generic Stop ObamaCare fax is well-written enough that I should share it with the wider world, so here goes (indulge me):

Dear Lawmaker,

My family has a lot of medical problems. I know what it’s like to be sick. I know what it’s like to wake up every morning not knowing how you’re going to pay your medical bills. I’ve lived through all that and it sucks.

But ObamaCare is not the answer. The “reforms” in ObamaCare aren’t going to fix the system. They are going to break the system even more.

Our health care system isn’t broken because it’s too free. It’s broken because it’s not free enough.

Our health care system isn’t broken because it’s at the mercy of market forces. It’s broken because it’s already too shielded from the market by pre-existing laws, regulations, and mandates. The solution isn’t to pile more on.

If we really want to make health care in America better, why don’t we reform the tax code so that employers’ health plans aren’t favored over individual health plans? That will make health plans portable again, and will end the absurd tragedy of losing your health plan when you get too sick to hold a job. Why don’t we relax health-insurance mandates so people aren’t forced to buy coverage they neither want nor need when they purchase a health plan? Why don’t we enact meaningful medical-malpractice reform? Why don’t we create health vouchers (instead of Medicaid) for the poorest and sickest among us, so they have a direct resource for getting the medical care they need? These steps, and more like them, would truly improve accessibility and lower costs in the long run. These are the steps you would take if you were serious about helping poor and sick Americans in ways that actually WORK.

But ObamaCare doesn’t do those things. No, ObamaCare is a monument to everything that is already wrong with health care in America.

Obama said we should pass ObamaCare because “I am my brother’s keeper”. But I say that as my brother’s keeper, I want to keep my brother safe from the harm of ObamaCare. It is because I love my brother that I think ObamaCare should be stopped. ObamaCare won’t just hurt me and my family. It will hurt millions unknown to me, many of the most vulnerable among us, many yet to be born. Opposing ObamaCare is an act of charity, an act of brotherly love.

So I urge you, take a stand for your constituents. Do the brave thing. Do the loving thing. Do what is right for our children and our children’s children. Stop ObamaCare now. Start health-care reform over from scratch, in a way that respects Americans’ freedoms. For if we are not free to care for our own bodies, the earthly instruments of our wills and spirits, what freedom do we have?

Listen to the American people. Stop ObamaCare and save American freedoms. Stop ObamaCare and save American lives.

So it's been with the health care overhaul, offshore drilling restrictions and now the Environmental Protection Agency threatening to become the uber-regulator of the air we breathe. (snip)

As Sen. James Inhofe, R-Okla., ranking Republican on the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, noted: "Lisa Jackson, Obama's EPA administrator, admitted to me publicly that EPA based its action today (issuing its finding) in good measure on the findings of the U.N.'s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, or IPCC. She told me that EPA accepted those findings without any serious, independent analysis to see whether they were true."

THINGS YOU CAN DO TODAY, if you can’t be in DC.

TEA PARTIERS RALLY ON CAPITOL HILL: “Tea Party activists from across the country began to rally outside Democratic congressional offices in Washington on Tuesday to protest the $875 billion health care bill and demand meetings with their respective members of Congress. And by all appearances, their arrival is not being taken lightly.”

UPDATE: And here’s a report from a protest at Congressman John Oliver’s office in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. More pics and video at the link, courtesy of DaTechGuy.

HEALTH CARE NIGHTMARES:

Worst case scenario for Democrats: a wave of public outrage like the one that followed Cat Care, aka The Medicare Catastrophic Coverage Act of 1988 (and its step-child, the Medicare Catastrophic Coverage Repeal Act of 1989). This strikes me as quite likely, actually. If this passes, yes, you will have AARP support and a wave of positive coverage from 90% liberal media. These things did not save Cat Care from a wave of angry public protest. I mean, really angry. Who knew senior citizens could be that spry?

That’s Representative Dan Rostenkowski being attacked at a town-hall meeting with his constituents. Afterwards, he plaintively asked his press officer how long it would be before the media foofaraw blew over. “Let me put it this way,” the flack is said to have replied. “When you die, they will play that clip.”

WHAT DO DETROIT, THE POSTAL SERVICE, AND HEALTH CARE “REFORM” HAVE IN COMMON? Fewer and more expensive services, corruption, and inefficiency.

PROFESSOR BAINBRIDGE: “People should not fear their government, their government should fear the people.”

Rush Limbaugh Open Thread: What’s he saying about the “Slaughter Slam”?

Posted by hillbuzz under Uncategorized
[33] Comments

We don’t have access to Rush Limbaugh here at Buzzquarters, but sort of love the man, and not in the way that would make him feel uncomfortable or draw odd stares for us here in Boystown. Love him as in, he’s an American hero and great patriot and we respect his opinions, even if we sometimes don’t agree with him.

But we are dying to know what he’s saying about the “Slaughter Slam” today, that illegal, unconstitutional scheme Louise Slaughter (a woman who should be arrested for treason) dreamed up to ram Healthcare Rationing through Congress without actually voting on it in the House.

What’s Rush saying?

March 16, 2010 at 1:53 pm

He is slamming it as unconstitutional. His big deal today is he gave out the Capitol switchboard number to encourage us to call. It’s only the 2nd time that he’s given it out. Just reported that the switchboard is on overload. 800-965-4701 and 800-828-0498 and 202-224-3121

March 16, 2010 at 1:54 pm

Rush reiterated what Mark Levin has been saying for the last several days, what they’re trying to do is unconstitutional and they’re doing it only to save the boy king’s presidency. Also that BHO is like a third Kim Jong Il, ruining the country in order for the lightbringer to save face.

March 16, 2010 at 2:10 pm

...He didn’t dwell alot on Slaughter per se…other than he keeps repeating THEY DON’T HAVE THE VOTES…BUT IT'S NOT TIME TO STAND DOWN...

It’s Come to This… We’re Ruled By Tyrants.

Leftist House Speaker and tyrant Nancy Pelosi said she likes the Slaughter Rule because “people don’t have to vote on it.”

This way democrats can take over chunks of the US economy at a time and won’t even have to vote on it.
The Washington Post reported:

After laying the groundwork for a decisive vote this week on the Senate’s health-care bill, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi suggested Monday that she might attempt to pass the measure without having members vote on it.

Instead, Pelosi (D-Calif.) would rely on a procedural sleight of hand: The House would vote on a more popular package of fixes to the Senate bill; under the House rule for that vote, passage would signify that lawmakers “deem” the health-care bill to be passed.

The tactic — known as a “self-executing rule” or a “deem and pass” — has been commonly used, although never to pass legislation as momentous as the $875 billion health-care bill. It is one of three options that Pelosi said she is considering for a late-week House vote, but she added that she prefers it because it would politically protect lawmakers who are reluctant to publicly support the measure.

“It’s more insider and process-oriented than most people want to know,” the speaker said in a roundtable discussion with bloggers Monday. “But I like it,” she said, “because people don’t have to vote on the Senate bill.”

Ever since Newsweek’s Evan Thomas admitted “of course we want John Kerry to win,” and that the press would be able to give Kerry a “10-15%” boost,” in poll numbers, I’ve had no time for the magazine; I miss nothing, as it has lately become a very, very thin weekly homage to Barack Obama.

But this is interesting. Was this done on purpose? Who at Newsweek thought that inserting an image of -who is that, Karl Marx? Charles Darwin?- into the apple was a good idea? Was it meant to embarrass the White House or to support it? I can’t imagine this happened by accident, but perhaps it did.

Source

At first I was sure the image was a photoshop done by some “nefarious right-winger,” but then I saw that if you go to the cover story article at Newsweek, they are featuring what looks to be an altogether more flattering shot with a cropped-and-apple-free pose.

Actually, seeing the second pose, with cropped apple, makes me believe that the weird image inside the apple really was a freakish accident of lighting. Were it not, they’d have left the apple in the shot, right? But the image must have shown up in all the photos. Could someone at Newsweek have tampered with all of the photos? That seems unlikely.

Not helpful to the Obama’s, though, to have this happen, right behind the NY Times “enhancing with illustration” a picture of the President.

Or, you know, Newsweek could just be looking to generate a buzz, and get some attention for itself. Given this “open and transparent” administration, we’ll likely never know.

What are your thoughts?

UPDATE: Here is a (blurry) closeup of the apple:

Okay, I am convinced that it’s simply a matter of the apples’ shading and the lighting. But you can see why some people are amused. See: Rasputin, Karl Marx, Charles Darwin, Burl Ives.

Mexico seems to be descending into out-and-out civil war. This past weekend, employees of the US consulate in Ciudad Juarez, directly across the Rio Grande river from El Paso, TX, were gunned down as they were attempting to cross into the US.

The drug wars in Mexico took an ominous turn over the weekend when a pregnant US consulate employee and her husband were killed as they left a children’s birthday party in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico’s most violent city. Only minutes earlier gunmen also killed the Mexican husband of another member of the consular staff and wounded his two children.

While a number of US citizens have been killed in Mexico’s increasingly bloody drug wars between rival cartels, it is the first time an American government employee has been killed.

The parents were killed, their infant daughter survived. It’s not completely clear from this article why the drug gangs were chasing these people in particular.

According to the newspaper Diario de Juarez, gunmen chased the couple’s white van shortly after 2pm, shooting at the vehicle until it swerved out of control, crashing into oncoming traffic near the bridge.

At approximately the same time, the third victim, Jorge Alberto Salcido Ceniceros, 37, was killed as he travelled in another part of Juarez. The gunmen boxed in the man’s car, shot him and wounded his two children, aged four and seven, according to media reports.

The attacks occurred as the US State Department was taking the unusual step of authorising US government employees at Ciudad Juarez and five other American consulates in northern Mexico to send their families out of the region because of concerns over the increasing bloodshed. That announcement was in the works before the murders, officials said.

Our Secretary of State had this to say:

“These appalling assaults on members of our own State Department family are, sadly, part of a growing tragedy besetting many communities in Mexico,” said Mrs Clinton. Washington was committed to: “work closely with the government of President Calderon to cripple the influence of trafficking organizations at work in Mexico,” she said.

But she had more pressing matters to attend to than a war on our border and diplomatic personnel being murdered. Like apartments being built in Jerusalem.

House Republicans to force vote on Pelosi’s Slaughter House solution; Update: Democrat condemns “deem and pass”

By Michelle Malkin  •  March 16, 2010 11:23 AM

Scroll for updates…

Just heard from GOP Hill folks:

“House Republican leaders will announce this morning a plan to force a vote this week on a resolution that would require the Senate health care bill to be brought to an actual up-or-down vote. The likely text of the measure is below. If passed by the House, the resolution would prohibit Speaker Pelosi from implementing the “Slaughter Solution,” the scheme by which House Democratic leaders are seeking to “deem” the Senate bill as passed without an actual vote in the House. More details to come.”

Here’s the text:

H. RES. __

RESOLUTION

Ensuring an up or down vote on certain health care legislation.

Resolved, That the Committee on Rules may not report a rule or order that provides for disposition of the Senate amendments to H.R. 3590, an Act entitled The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, unless such rule or order provides for—

(1) at least one hour of debate, equally divided and controlled by the Majority Leader and the Minority Leader, or their designees; and

(2) a requirement that the Speaker put the question on disposition of the Senate amendments and that the yeas and nays be considered as ordered thereon.

***

Andy McCarthy weighs on self-executing rules, precedent, and the Slaughter rule:

At the Examiner, Mark Tapscott points out that when the Republican-controlled Congress used a “self-executing” rule very similar to the “Slaughter rule” to raise the debt ceiling in 2005, Rep. Louise Slaughter — along with Rep. Nancy Pelosi and Rep. Henry Waxman — went to court to try to reverse it, arguing that it was a blatant violation of the Constitution’s procedure for passing legislation (art. I, sec. 7).

The bad news for present purposes is that they lost the case. The D.C. Circuit in Public Citizen v. U.S. District Court upheld the procedure. Upheld in this case does not mean endorsed. The Court did not say the self-executing rule was constitutional. It said it could not reach the question due to the standards of deference that apply between departments of government: If the presiding officers of both houses of Congress attest that their respective chambers have passed a piece of legislation, the Court is required to accept those representations as conclusive.

That doesn’t mean it is proper for government officials to execute a procedure that violates the Constitution, nor does it mean that a presiding officer should attest something that is not true. It does, however, suggest that it may be an uphill battle to get a court to declare the process null and void.

Mark is correct to point out that raising the debt ceiling is (regrettably) a routine, uncontroversial practice. Byron made a similar point yesterday in running down the handful of times the “self-executing” procedure has been followed. The key here is that in each instance, at issue was something that was non-controversial or almost ministerial — not, as with heathcare, an unpopular, bitterly opposed, ragingly controversial socialization of the private economy.

I think Democrats are mistaking a customary short-cut for a substantive precedent.

… Sure, we don’t make lawmakers dot every “i” and cross every “t” every time. But that doesn’t mean we’ve abandoned the right to make them play it by the book when it comes to a controversial matter. When there’s a real dispute, they have to pass the bill the regular, constitutionally mandated way: Both houses on the exact same text, with every legislator accountable for his vote.

If, instead, the legislative process becomes a farce that departs from the constitutional procedures we are entitled to enforce, then it no longer represents the consent of the governed. It is the first American principle that government derives its just powers only from the consent of the governed, and when it takes on a form that becomes destructive of the fundamental rights of the governed, it is no longer legitimate.

More from the WSJ.

Meanwhile Syracuse Democrat Rep. Dan Maffei has announced he’ll climb aboard the Wreckonciliation Express.

And House Republicans spoke at the Capitol Hill protest today:

A bevy of House Republicans helped kick off Tuesday’s “Tea Party” rally on Capitol Hill.

House GOP lawmakers — but no Republican senators — joined protesters to rally against healthcare reform legislation before Congress.

In the first hour of the rally, seven House GOP lawmakers, including Rep. Mike Pence (R-Ind.), who serves as Conference Chairman and who is a member of the House Republican leadership, sought to rouse up support for killing the healthcare legislation set to move through Congress.

Joining Pence were Republican Study Committee Chairman Tom Price (R-Ga.), and Reps. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.), Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), Joe WIlson (R-S.C.), Steve King (R-Iowa), and Louie Gohmert (R-Texas).

***

Silly question, I repeat: WHERE IS THE ACTUAL RECONCILIATION BILL? As of 12:02pm Eastern today, the House Rules Committee and the Dems have not released it. They have, however, released a memo justifying their cramdown tactics. Priorities.

***

Update: Democrat Rep. Jason Altimire condemns his leaders’ “deem and pass” strategy:

A plan that would allow House Democrats to bypass a direct vote on the Senate’s healthcare bill is causing “discomfort,” a key centrist Democrat said Tuesday.

Rep. Jason Altmire (D-Pa.), a member of the Blue Dog and New Democrat Coalitions, said that the plan to pass the plan using the so-called “deem and pass” procedure is “wrong” and unpopular among his constituents.

There’s a lot of discomfort with the reconciliation process, the self-implementing rule, where you wouldn’t have a formal vote on maybe the most important policy of the past 40 years,” he said on Fox Business Network. “I have a big issue with the way they’re doing the process. I think it’s wrong and my constituents don’t like it.”

Altmire, a no vote on the House’s healthcare bill in November who is now undecided, is seen by many as critical to passage.

Obama Not a “Happy” President?

Posted by: Mike's America @ 10:39 am in Uncategorized  | 250 views

A new twist on the “what went wrong” series of articles about Obama!

Obama’s problem with alcohol and smoking may be symptomatic of a larger problem: he’s unhappy in the role of President. A role his ego craved for years now seems to suit him ill. Pictures of Obama waving an angry finger reveal that all is not well in Obama land.

Even writers at the Washington Post have noticed:

Obama’s happiness deficit
By Fred Hiatt
Washington Post

Here’s a theory about why President Obama is having a tough political time right now: He doesn’t seem all that happy being president.

I know, it’s the world’s hardest job, and between war and the world economy collapsing, he didn’t have the first year he might have wished for. And, yes, he’s damned either way: With thousands of Americans risking their lives overseas and millions losing their jobs at home, we’d slam him if he acted carefree.

Still, I think Americans want a president who seems, despite everything, to relish the challenge. They don’t want to have to feel grateful to him for taking on the burden.

I started thinking about this a few weeks ago when Obama confidant David Axelrod, noting that the president always makes time for his daughters’ recitals and soccer games, told the New York Times, “I think that’s part of how he sustains himself through all this.”

Really? Is the presidency something to sustain yourself through?

RESISTANCE: Direct all ire at the major Donors of the following Democrats

Posted by hillbuzz under Uncategorized | Tags: , , , |
[101] Comments

It is our firm belief that the way to prevent the Healthcare Rationing bill from passing is to put an intense fear of the public’s ire into the wealthy people and law firms who fund the campaigns of the following Democrats:

1. Baird
2. Gordon
3. Altmire
4. Boccieri
5. Kosmas
6. Murphy
7. Markey
8. Teague
9. Kucinich
10. Tanner
11. Boyd
12. Matheson
13. Nye
14. Barrow
15. Childers
16. Davis – TN

17. Stupak
18. Carney
19. Rahall
20. Berry
21. Driehaus
22. Arcuri
23. Dahlkemper
24. Pomeroy
25. Ellsworth
26. Hill
27. Grijalva
28. Gutierrez
29. Owens
30. Cardoza
31. Costa

32. Louise Slaughter *added because she’s the one behind this insanity of “DemonPass”…so her big Donors should receive Hell in handbaskets too.

You need to accept, as we do, that Democrats in Congress have stopped listening to their constituents and the American people.

St. Patrick’s Day Open Thread: March 17th, 2010

Posted by hillbuzz under Uncategorized
[14] Comments

Normally, today we’d be looking forward to heading out in Boystown to enjoy green beer, go-go boys dressed up as clothing-averse leprechauns, and the general mayhem of Chicago on a city-wide drinking holiday, but we’re going to have to skip the fun this year.

What Democrats are doing in Washington must be stopped, so we’re committing to working on our plan to open a new front against the DNC — namely, to convince major Democrat Donors to stop giving to the party, and to pressure these very wealthy people to call the 31 Democrats we’ve targeted and push them to kill the Healthcare Rationing bill.

This open thread posts at midnight.  We’re going to work through the night to post a rough battle plan and at least 5 Action Items for the morning on how we can get the Democrat Donor project up and running.

Then, we will need your help to spread this idea far and wide:  get it to Dennis Miller, Greta, Rush, Michelle Malkin, Tammy Bruce, Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, and anyone out there who wants to stop the Democrats from using unconstitutional means to force their will upon Americans.

The Donors are the key, people.

Congress is no longer listening to the public…but Congress will always take the calls of the wealthy.

If we identify who has been funding the individual Congress critters, and the public’s ire turns on them, they will get on their cells and call the Congressmen directly and tell them to do whatever it takes to stop the public from bothering them anymore.

We know these people.

We’ve been in fundraising for years.

We know this will work.

We just need your help in spreading the idea, and the information we gather, far and wide.

The wealthy Leftists who fund the political campaigns of those they send to Washington to rip up our Constitution and treat us voters so poorly need to share the responsibility for what’s happening.  If they don’t like getting thousands of calls, letters, and emails from the public, then maybe they won’t be funding Democrats’ campaigns anymore.

No funding means November will be even more of a nightmare for the DNC than it was going to be, so maybe they will put the brakes on this madness and rein the lunatics in before it really is too late.

THE KEY to stopping Healthcare Rationing is directing ire directly at top Democrat Donors. Desiree Rogers’ ouster proves this.

Posted by hillbuzz under Uncategorized | Tags: , , , |
[26] Comments

Please read this article about what REALLY led to former White House Social Secretary (and Queen of her own deluded world) Desiree Rogers’ humiliating, kicking and screaming, ouster:  it wasn’t her incompetence at the Indian state dinner (where she inexplicably showed up dressed as Pocahontas, thinking it was “feather” instead of “dot” or “Cleveland” Indian time “up in there”).  It wasn’t her many trips to fashion shows, or the photos shoots she posed for, where she insisted on wearing “the ugliest clothes possible, so (she) can look completely like a low rent transvestite, which is styling right now”.

No.

She was fired because large, wealthy Democrat donors did not feel they were getting as many perks from the current White House as their donations deserved.

Rogers left important people off the Christmas Card List, and those people then stopped writing checks to the DNC.

We believe, in addition to contacting the Democrats in the House directly, that the public’s ire needs to be directed at the wealthy people who fund the DNC.

American Thinker has an article today listing a couple hundred names/front organizations for the core of the left that might be helpful:

March 16, 2010 at 9:04 pm

Here’s that list at American Thinker. It gives us a place to start.

I’m thinking of collating information from the FEC website — http://www.fec.gov/ — with the Open Secrets one — http://www.opensecrets.org/ — and supplying addresses and telephone and fax numbers from on-line phone books.

March 16, 2010 at 10:13 pm

Sorry if someone already posted…I typed in Suzanne Kosmas Large Donors in Google and found this article on big donors for all the freshmen democratic senators…

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/11/19/new.congress.lobbying/index.html

If you are near a TV, please watch Greta on FOX and tell us what is going on.  She apparently has Rush on, talking about melting Congress’ phone lines.

We need to get both Greta and Rush, and people like Michelle Malkin, Hannity, and others clued into the strategy of not just melting Congress’ phone lines, but melting the phones of all major Democrat Donors.

If Congress won’t listen to voters, it will still listen to their big donors if voters take the fight to them, and start melting their phones and bombarding them with enough mail to make them get on the phone and tell the DNC it needs to stop this madness so the public will leave them alone.

It’s never been done before.

It’s thinking outside the box.

It will work.

We need Greta, Rush, and the rest to help make it happen.

Doing the health care anecdote-vetting the Left won’t do

By Michelle Malkin  •  March 16, 2010 11:27 PM

Here is Larry Scary O’Donnell — who can usually be seen frothing at the mouth with bulging neck veins as he melts down on MSNBC — sloooowly reading a teleprompter as he chastises me, Rush Limbaugh, and Glenn Beck for “attacking” 11-year-old Marcelas Owens. Nice to see your Valium working, Larry:

As usual, he gets basic facts wrong — like accusing Rush and me of being “desperate to catch up” with Beck. Actually, he’s got the timeline upside-down, as the enraged Media Matters chronology correctly lays out here.

My syndicated column raising inconvenient questions about Owens’ case appeared was published on March 10 and my follow-up post on Harry Reid hiding behind Owens was published on March 12.

Rush addressed the Democrat exploitation of Owens on March 12.

Beck then discussed the case on March 15.

Also wrong: At 3:28, O’Donnell falsely claims I called the parents of S-CHIP poster child Graeme Frost “spoiled brats” — a misattribution which he also regurgitated from Media Matters.

Also moronic: At 6:45 in the video, O’Donnell says conservatives can’t find a single person on Medicaid or Medicare who is unhappy with his/her coverage. Ahem, meet NYTimes columnist Nick Kristof’s favorite health care poster boy, John Brodniak.

Facts, schmacts.

At 7:25 in the video, liberal columnist Chris Hayes of the Nation decries the tendency of conservative pundits to “raise questions and point out errors.” God forbid we do that. Doing the health care anecdote-vetting the Left won’t do? FASCISTS!!!

O’Donnell dubs our analyses of Owens and his left-wing activist grandmother’s claims “childish attacks.” But it’s immature demagogues like O’Donnell who refuse to grow up. I repeat what I said about the NYTimes’ shoddy, gullible, unquestioning coverage of the story four days ago:

The Times fails to mention that Owens’ grandmother and family have been longtime activists for the left-wing, single-payer advocates of the Washington Community Action Network or that the boy and his grandmother traveled to Washington with sponsorship from the Astroturf lobbyists of the Health Care for America Now outfit, which characterized Marcelas as an “insurance abuse survivor.”

Never mind that there is not a shred of evidence that any health insurer ever “abused” Marcelas. Never mind that the family has made no claim that Marcelas himself has survived without insurance (in Washington state, low-income children have been covered either through Medicaid, SCHIP, or the SCHIP expansion program Apple Health for Kids). Newsbusters is also covering the MSM’s soft-shoe coverage of the Democrats’ use of the Owens’ kiddie shield here, here, and here.

Not that gullible health care sob story coverage is anything new to the Times. See: Unbelievable update: The crappiest NYTimes column on Obamacare just got crappier; Update: Kristof’s disingenuous non-response.

The usual hyperventilating from the Left — horrible conservatives “targeting” poor, innocent kid! conservatives “assault” poor, innocent kid! — just proves my point. Despite President Obama’s repeated admonition that health care reform is a “complex issue that can’t be reduced to snippets,” it’s exactly what Reid, Murray, Schumer, and his Owens’ grandmother propped up young Marcelas to do. Anyone who questions the narrative and absolute moral authority of the kiddie human shield is a heartless, right-wing stalker who should be vilified, if not arrested.

As always, the current ruling majority is incapable of holding an adult discussion on the costs and consequences of its plans.

Attacks on Fox News for vetting President Obama’s Ohio poster patient, Natoma Canfield, in 3, 2, 1…

Natoma Canfield, the cancer-stricken woman who has become a centerpiece of President Obama’s push for health care reform, will not lose her home over her medical bills and will probably qualify for financial aid, a top official at the Cleveland medical center treating her told FoxNews.com.

Natoma Canfield’s battles with cancer and with insurance companies have become a centerpiece of President Obama’s campaign to pass a health care system overhaul.

Natoma Canfield, the cancer-stricken woman who has become a centerpiece of President Obama’s push for health care reform, will not lose her home over her medical bills and will probably qualify for financial aid, a top official at the Cleveland medical center treating her told FoxNews.com.

Though Canfield’s sister Connie Anderson said her sibling is afraid she’ll lose her house and Obama warned at an Ohio rally Monday that the patient is “racked with worry” about the cost of tests and treatment, she is already being screened for financial help.

Lyman Sornberger, executive director of patient financial services at the Cleveland Clinic, said “all indications” at the outset are that she will be considered for assistance.

“She may be eligible for state Medicaid … and/or she will be eligible for charity (care) of some form or type. … In my personal opinion, she will be eligible for something,” he said, adding that Canfield should not be worried about losing her home.

“Cleveland Clinic will not put a lien on her home,” he said.

Their Real Agenda

Road To Serfdom: Liberals' plan to reform the medical system has always seemed more an attempt to radically transform the nation than a good-faith effort to cut costs and expand coverage. Now they've confirmed it.

Today's Democrats aren't interested in constitutional or traditional limitations on government. They want to remake American life based on their notions of what's ideal, and they are more than willing to force leftward change on an ostensibly free people.

While this has been clear for some time, it still rocks us a bit when they acknowledge such plans out loud.

The loudest came Monday when House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told a group of bloggers that turning the Democratic Party leaders' health care overhaul into law would embolden them to drive America away from its roots of liberty and independence.

"Kick open that door, and there will be other legislation to follow," she said. "We'll take the country in a new direction."

The only surprise is that the speaker from uber-Democratic San Francisco would be so frank. The country is already in open, though peaceful, revolt against her party's health care overhaul.

Declaring publicly that the left has plans to take the country unwillingly on some Great Leap Forward seems rather foolish. Does she believe the public will eagerly accept more central planning?

OUTLAW!

Here’s what we need done today to help launch and execute the “Pressure the Democrats’ Donors” plan we’ve conceived to open a new front in the Resistance to the Healthcare Rationing bill.

Our logic is simple:  the White House, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid have convinced all Democrats in Congress to ignore the public.  Phones are off the hook, emails are being deleted, and fax machines are unplugged.  Democrats have built a wall between themselves and reality.  The public’s ire is smacking right into that wall, but not getting through.

As Democrat fundraisers here in Chicago, we know how to get around that wall:  by getting to the Democrats’ large Donors — wealthy people who put on the fundraisers, chair the events, and do all the money bundling that keeps Democrats in office. These people have the private phone numbers the Democrats will indeed answer.  It’s been said Democrats spend 5-6 hours a day doing Donor maintenance and fundraising in Congress.  That means if we start pressuring the Democrat Donors, they will call Congress and the DNC to report the public’s coming after THEM now.  And they won’t like that one bit.

These are wealthy socialites and large law firms, neither of which wants the public calling, faxing, and emailing them. They donate in the shadows for their own personal vanity in most cases:  that money will dry up if the public starts directing some of its ire at the people who fund all this madness by writing big checks to the DNC and Democrats in office.

Today we need the following five things accomplished:

(1) Use this thread, and find the largest donors for the 8 Democrats listed as “Maybe” by sites like Ace of Spades.

(2) Use this thread, and find the largest donors for the 31 Democrats listed there.

(3) In comments below, think of good verbiage to use in letters, emails, faxes, and phone calls to the Democrat Donors as we identify them.  Remember: always be polite, professional, and use excellent grammar.  Keep your message short, and ask these wealthy people why they are funding the Socialist takeover of this country.  Ask them why they gave so much money so Democrats could shred the Constitution and attempt to illegally ram bills through Congress without voting on them.  Ask these Donors why they raised so much funds to tank the US economy.  Tell them you are going to write to all of their neighbors and anyone who does business with them, letting them know how they have been spending their money and what they are trying to achieve by putting Leftists into office. Tell them they are terrible human beings and that you will pray for their sanity to be restored.

(4) Contact people like Rush Limbaugh, Greta van Susteren, Michelle Malkin, Bill O’Reilly, Dennis Miller, Tammy Bruce, and others to spread this “Contact Dem Donors” idea as far as possible.  It’s thinking outside the box, and opening an unexpected front for Democrats.  These people are stressed and unhinged just dealing with the public — imagine the extra stress we would put on them if suddenly their Donors start calling, panicked, demanding to do whatever needs to be done to call the public off.

(5) Contact everyone involved in the Tea Party movement and make this idea viral…get them to research and contact the major Democrat Donors in their areas too.  If, nationwide, wealthy Democrat Donors coast to coast started catching Hell from the general public, the DNC switchboards will start lighting up, and Congress members’ cell phones will start melting.  We guarantee it.

March 17, 2010 at 11:14 am

According to this, democrats are already being contacted by donors, but not the way we want.

Donors are threatening to withhold funding from dems who do not support health care:

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0310/34540.html

We have to hurry! Work like mad to get to them first!

March 17, 2010 at 11:48 am

Another suggestion, analogous to your action plan:

Obama is telling the previous “yes” voters to vote “yes” again because they’re going to get kicked out of office anyway.

How to counter that? Promise to treat them like people in Nebraska treated Ben Nelson: public heckling, and boycotting anyone who gives these jokers a job.

Ace of Spades ran a list of the following 8 Democrats who are “Maybe” on the Healthcare Rationing bill:

Washington, D.C. 20515

(email form)

Who are their major Donors?

What law firms bundle money for these people?

These eight Democrats depend on large contributions to fund their campaigns.  The people who make these contributions do so in the shadows, outside the public glare.  Congress has been avoiding and ignoring direct contact with the public: phones have been taken off the hook, emails deleted unread, and fax machines are unplugged.  It is difficult for the public to get through to Congress directly.

Our strategy is to take an indirect route to get to these Congressmen.

Through their Donors.

Let’s hit FEC records, OpenSecrets, and Google to search for the names and contact information for the wealthy people who put on the large fundraisers that keep the eight people above in Congress.

Who chairs their fundraising committees?

Who hosts their large events?

What names keep popping up in any article about banquets, fundraisers, or other political events these Congressmen attend?

We guarantee you these wealthy people and firms do not want the public calling them to tell them how unconstitutional and illegal it is for Democrats to be doing the things they are doing in Washington.  We need to tell them the public will hold these individuals accountable for what Congress is doing, since it is their money that is funding all of this madness.  If they ponied up all that cash to send the eight men above to Congress, then they bear culpability for their actions.

These wealthy people have private numbers to reach the eight men above the general public does not have access to.  They can be much more persuasive than the average citizen.

Thus, if the public outs and pressures Democrats’ large Donors, the Donors will then make panicked calls to the DNC and Congress, and we get through on a level the DNC never expected us to.

Use this thread to collect the Donor information for the names above.

American Hero

It’s an amazing coincidence of fate that the most un-American, unpatriotic, and unappealing woman we can think of is named Michelle — and happens to be our current First Lady — while the most pro-American, patriotic, and wonderful woman we can think of is also named Michele. One less “L” in a name sure makes one “Hell” of a difference.

Obama vs. Bachmann.

Crass vs. CLASS.

Bachmann is almost single-handedly leading the American Resistance to the madness Nancy Pelosi’s presiding over in the House.

One woman from Minnesota.  A mom.  Leading the charge where her male counterparts are afraid to tread.

She is a warrior queen with a Blackberry.  Artemis in Ann Taylor.  The modern day equivalent of Mercy Otis Warren, Abigail Adams, Betsy Ross, Dolley Madison, and every great, patriotic woman from the past — and then some.

The Leftist media has ordered a complete blackout of all coverage relating to the illegal maneuvers Pelosi is making in the House, just as the MSM blacked-out all coverage of the collapse of the Church of Anthropogenic Global Warming.  They refused to cover Climategate because it would hurt Democrats.  They refuse to cover the unconstitutional “Slaughter Slam” end-run on the Constitution because that would hurt Democrats too.

Well, Michele Bachmann is a modern-day Paulette Revere.

Help her.

If you love your country, you love your children, and you love your life as you know it, help her.

Email this article to everyone you know.  Get off your butt and go door to door in your neighborhood and tell everyone you can what Democrats are doing, how they are ripping up the Constitution.  Call everyone in your phone.  Head down to the grocery store and start talking to strangers.  Call your local TV stations and demand they start covering this story.

We believe whatever great and cosmic force flowed through our Founders when they created this nation — the force that has reappeared time and again in all of our great heroes whenever America needed them — is alive and strong in Michele Bachmann.

She is one voice of reason in a sea of fools, lunatics, and impotent, weak men.  She’s a mighty force, but she cannot do this alone.

Help her.

Reinforce her.

Spread her message.

Bachmann Rips Media for Not Covering Deem and Pass; Suggests Pelosi Impeachment Warranted

You can’t impeach members of Congress—it’s only for executive and judicial officers. They could expel her, but that requires 2/3 of the House.

IS OBAMACARE FACING ITS DEATH PANEL?
The last 24 hours were brutal on the White House and Democratic leaders…
Obamacare collapsed on Intrade:

Obama agreed to an interview with Republican mouthpiece FOX News.

Jim Cramer announced Obamacare will tank the market. And, Money News reported it will cause huge tax increases.

The opposition is only 11 votes shy from killing Obamacare.

And, Jack Cafferty on CNN says that the Slaughter Solution pushed by Speaker Pelosi is beyond sleazy, Via Instapundit:

Things don’t look good for the democrat’s nationalized health care right about now.

Keep the pressure on… Call your Congressman.
Here’s the Contact List.

IS BARACK OBAMA too big to fail?

MORE PROBLEMS with the Slaughter Solution? The biggest problem, of course, is that two weeks ago Obama was calling for an up-or-down vote, and now the House is doing its best to avoid just that . . .

WHAT COULD GO WRONG? Obama’s New Partner: Al Sharpton. Kinda like if Bush had brought in David Duke to solidify things...

Help Always Appreciated

New Zeal is now one of the most widely cited foreign political websites in the US.

This site exposed Barack Obama's links to Frank Marshall Davis (nearly three years ago, March 29, 2007) and the radical New Party (70,000 "hits" in three days) and has broken several other widely picked up stories.

The 100 Obama files, below right have been quoted in several books, hundreds of articles, thousands of blog posts, on Fox News and even on the floor of the US Congress.

New Zeal information led to the resignation of Obama's "Green Jobs Czar" Van Jones.

These hundred files are a personal milestone, but certainly not the end. Nearly every day I turn up more information, for yet more posts.

If you'd like to support the ongoing work of New Zeal, please make a donation through the PayPal button to your right.

I, and those help me, do this this work to keep my country and yours free.

Help to fund research and pay the bills means we can devote more time to doing what we do best.

Thanks to all those who have helped in the past and those who may in the future.

Rut Roh: Gallup - Obama Approve 46; Disapprove 47

While only one point down on one day, it's the first time he's ever entered negative territory. He started at 70 - 10, +60 approve and has dropped consistently since taking office. And the most recent trending is clearly linked directly to Obama Care.

Keep kissin' your chicken, Barry.
