And then one of our moderators spotted this:

http://www.scribd.com/doc/18018714/Fake-Obama-Kenya-birth-certificate

It has several clues, but also there's this question:

Who is E. F. Lavender?

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=earth+friendly+lavender&aq=f&oq=&aqi

Earth Friendly Lavender detergent?

WND has no credibility as a real news source.

WND always needs to be fact checked. The question comes in if Orly Taitz is a fool.

The nice thing about this document is that it is easily authenticated one way or the other, unlike the Hawaiian COLB.

There is undoubtedly registration of births in Kenya. Are the registers maintained at the provincial level?

This document claims to be verification that there was a book 44b. Is there a book 44b? Are the registration books numbered in that fashion?

This document claims that this birth is on page 5733 of that book? Is there a page 5733 in that book (or have there been pages removed from that book that would include a page 5733?)

On the other hand, the Hawaiian COLB is a computer printout based upon the contents of a database. Even if the document itself is an authentic document, a record can be inserted in a database fairly easily. That's why it is far better to see a facsimile of a microfilm page: a picture of the original. Since the original document would be far more difficult to fake.

How many of you phoned or emailed your Congressional Representatives today?

My representative is Stenny Hoyer. Why bother?

Contacted your Senators regarding their vote on Sotomayor this week?

Senators are Ben Cardin and Babs Mikulski. Why bother?

Attended a town hall meeting?

Not one in my local area, else I would have.

Coordinated any political activity?

Does sending e-mails out talking about the healthcare bill and asking people to do what you're talking about count for anything?

What gives me some hope is that this is not a birth certificate. It is a "Certified Copy of Registration of Birth."

It gives a link to a page in a hard copy book (i.e., a register) that would contain the information quoted on the form we see.

For example, here is a page from an 1883 UK birth register:

I cannot picture that a 1961 register would be any different (computerization would not have come to an outlying colony in 1961 -- particularly one that the Brits knew they were going to be quitting in a couple of short years anyway)

The point is excising one entry from such a register would be impossible. Excising a whole page from such a register would be near to impossible. Excising a whole register from a set of registers would be really, really suspicious (and difficult to do, to boot).

Except the picture you posted says OrlyTatzEsq so her name is misspelled.

The first, E.F. Lavender, is the name of the registrar in 1961 whose name appears on the referenced record in book 44B on page 5733. The second, E.H. Miller, is the registrar in 1964 at the time the certificate attesting to the content of the record was prepared. Joshua Simon Oduya is Mr. Miller's assistant who prepared and signed the document.

Thanks for the confirmation --

This is something that I thought of when I said that Oduya is a Luo name. Although, I hadn’t thought up of a reason why he would do it.....you just did. Obama Sr had policital connections through Odinga.

This theory is a possibility. Or something similar.

O=10 B=2 A=1 M=8 A=1

Where did you learn your nemerology??? Your numerology is off. Numerologically O=15 and and M=13, thus it would have had to have been 1521131 for OBAMA not 102181.

Yeah, but the point is that in the British Empire there were people with the name of E.F. Lavender rattling about, despite there being an Earth Friendly Lavender handwash in the 21st Century. So, if there could be an E.F. Lavender signing documents in Australia in 1899, so too could there be and E.F. Lavender in Kenya in 1964.

Exactly --

Orly Taitz never claimed to know the document is authentic. On the contrary, she explicitly denied having any knowledge of its authenticity and asked the court to permit discovery proceedings to proceed which will allow the original and authentic document/s, if any, to be examined. Her efforts in this regard, successful or not, are more substantial than any heretofore pursued by you or anyone else. It makes no difference whether or not the document has been faked by Obama supporters or opponents, if and when it results in opening discovery of authentic document/s in a court/s of law. So, perhaps you would like to consider apologizing to her for your unwarranted and obnoxious remark?

They knew this birth certificate was going to surface. This is why they did the pre-emptive attacks on ‘birthers’. If you notice, ever since this birth certificate has come out, they have switched their attacks from the ‘birthers’ to the document itself. That tells me everything.

Well Said
