Did FreeRepublic assure Obama's election? (Vanity is my favourite sin.)

Context:

“When you take over a failing company . . .”

Don’t be a dumbass, Jim.

Republicans and Conservatives did not lose a company nor an organization. FreeRepublicans were so stupid they chose Obama or chose to cast a vote which elected Obama.

The question remains for those sensible FreeRepublic members, what are we going to do about the mid-term elections.

Obama was elected because many of you myopic posters followed throgh to a promise not to vote for what you perceived to be a RINO.

Fools.

Pleased with what you got in return for sitting at home?

...had McCain won we would have had the same thing..

Actually, think about the bigger picture, if McCain won, that would mean there was a bigger trend to people pulling the lever for "R"s instead of "D"s, possibly eliminating the D's super majority, maybe even giving us control of one of the houses.

If that happened, many of the things we are looking at now may never even have been on the table in the first place.

Some horses deserve to be put out to pasture - even racehorses.

I held my nose and voted for McManiac, especially after he picked Palin to run with him.

My guess is most Freepers understood the choice between a Marxist Muslim and an erratic kook, held their noses and voted for the kook.

Having said that, Obama DOES have McCain to thank for his victory as well as George Bush.

Bush was vastly unpopular because he was inarticulate and made some very stupid decisions. The end of his second term set the stage for popular unrest with his policies which any GOP candidate would have to deal with in an effort to get elected.

McManiac, on the other hand, was too old, too tired, too nasty, too inarticulate and ran a campaign in keeping with his tradition of not being as harsh on his Democrat opponents than he is with his conservative Republican fellow party members.

Are YOU satisfied?????????

McCain

Thanks to obama, pelosi and reid combined in the perfect storm of radical overeach and arrogance - the blinders are coming off the common people.

I don't believe this. Not for one single solitary minute. The immense damage being perpetrated by the Left while we sit around hoping the "common" people will come around to our way of thinking is a price far too high to pay for false hope. Not just false hope, but spiteful hope.

But, according to Harry Reid, Barry won because he is a, “’light-skinned’ African American “with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.”

Seriously, I think you underestimate how many people wanted to be a part of a “historic” election. Some statistics show that 56% of Americans support racially based affirmative action hiring, and doesn’t Barry represent the biggest affirmative action hire?

Nice try blaming conservatives, but it’s not our fault.

I voted for Palin. And since 63% of Americans support female based affirmative action hiring, we can finally have someone qualified for the job when Palin heads the ticket.

If someone doesn't view The Constitution as the nearest thing to sacred a secular document can be they are not a Republican! A Republican should follow the Constitution, not try to spin it to support the plan of the moment, or pretend it doesn't exist at all. Nothing justifies the passage of legislation in violation of the Constitution, at any level!

Some of you stated that Giuliani and Romney had to work around the Constitution because of where they were in office. Tellyawhat, just a little bit more of that silly logic and we won't have a constitution at all!

I’m proud too! I have to wonder how many of the ‘no RINOs at any price’ crowd are trolls ....that said, I prefer to send $$ to conservative candidates, not the RNC, and am personally really sick of RINOs and the RNC.

"...perceived to be a RINO" LOL, nice!

John McCain was no "perception of a RINO" That man was the real deal and as "In Name Only" as they come.

That said, I held my nose and voted for the traitorous bastard anyway.

You might want to watch opening a thread by calling 2/3 of the forum "fools" (including the owner of the forum)

That's hardly a good approach to winning people over to your side.

Now, for the record, Obama is in office for a number of reasons, but not least of which is McCain intentionally tossed the election to the man.

Do NOT ever ask me to vote for another RINO. It's not happening. The GOP can just STFU and go pound sand unless they want to "get religion" so to speak.

This is absolutely a topic worth visiting.

The Dems will try to split the opposition however they can, and if there is even a hint of third party or voter reluctance, they (Marxist Obama) will win again.

In 2008, some folks (good folks, actually) withheld their votes of Mister McCain because of various reasons, and accordingly, we now have the Dems having their scorced-earth way with our Constitution and Country.

During the PRIMARY, I agreed with them, voted for another candidate and I (verbally) nuked McCain here in FR on a daily basis.

For the GENERAL election, I voted McCain/Palin and even sent McCain a little money.

We need to decide NOW to have our arguments during the PRIMARY and to rally together as never before against the Dems in the GENERAL elections of 2010 and 2012.

.
