saying she was “fooling” us (implying it was deliberate) isn’t insulting her character?

Spare me the cries of victimhood.

'on-top-of-a-clock-tower-with-a-rifle' news report today

It's a sad thing to see. The whole Cult thing surprises me with each iteration. I supposed it would end with her bowing out, but it's found new territory in the plot adjacent to Barry's kool-aid drinkers.

There's not much use for posters who show up here trying to provoke "conservative purists" during the primaries.

The primaries are exactly the time to be "purist".

I think she made the right decision. She knows she has some image-building to do before she is truly electable. This was not an example of cowardice. Anyone who thinks Palin is a coward doesn't understand her at all, in my opinion. Just as those who think she is stupid don't understand her at all.

This was utter cowardice. She's a quitter. She cannot finish ANYTHING she starts. She's a total loser. I'm glad she dropped out, because midway into a Presidency, she'd be all like "Presidentin' is TOUGH. I'm outta here. KissKissPoof". This is the mindset of a narcistic, borderline personality who's sole goal is to build up hopes before trashing them. She's a lot richer, personally, though, after cravenly cashing in on her cachet. Wow, what a slimeball. CRAWL BACK TO ALASKA, SARAH.

What gives me the most joy about this is what a disappointment it will be to the Palin haters, who will be deprived of so much of their ugly fun. And I won't have to listen to it.

Hi. I'm hard to lose.

You are correct.

And general elections are for beating the candidate that is furthest to the left. And that is 100% of the time, the democrat.

obama must be defeated; and he will be defeated.

If it is by Cain, I’ll be delighted. If it is by Perry, I’ll be happy. If it is by Gingrich, I’ll be surprised, but also happy. If it is by Romney, well, I’ll be very relieved that obama is gone.

Well you quit her too, so that makes you a quitter as well.

Never put all your eggs in one basket, Laz. Never.

Check out Steve_Seattle. He's convinced this was a brilliant move on her part, because she can groom her image for 2016.

Other people expressed that they will vote for her, anyways.

It's a lot like what I called the Clinton True Believers. One was on Don Imus's show, she called in, and said she didn't believe anything about Monica Lewinski. Imus, laughingly, reminded her that Clinton just admitted it on National TV. Pause. She responds, "Well, I don't believe it anyway. He was forced to say it somehow."

I'm going to fund a dog-sled race in Alaska.

It will be called the Iquitarod.

Unless you are selling preloaded egg baskets. Then it is a requirement. Always.

“Republicans who are not conservative, not Constitutionalists, and have no courage to stand up and fight - who like to compromise, make nice and be friends with Dems - are worse than Dems.”

But my description above fits Romney to a T. If a Repubs controlled House and Senate and had gutsy Tea Party types they could do a lot of good. Of course I want the freakshow Muzlim evil clown homo commie out of there asap but I do NOT want him replaced with a pile of puke like Romney.

Why don't you two get a room.

Got a better idea. Gunner? Let's clean out that ol' doghouse in your back lot for this flea-bitten canine, and we'll shave McGruff's ugly butt, make him walk backwards (nobody will be able to tell the difference) and he can languish the days away on senior-mutt ALPO, for those old mongrels who aren't quite ready to be put down, but are more trouble than they're worth, sound like a plan?

Exactly and I remember who the main figures were

and from now on whenever I see them post I will always remember what jackasses they are given a little rope

the zot patrols they had and the glee over it which zapped some decent long term posters was the worst pack behavior I ever saw here

and all for what?

As far as mea culpa’s go, that was OK, other than your little jab at me. As for questioning my “guts”, well, I think it’s obvious that I expressed my opinion quite clearly to Jim, and did not “tweak” him at all. A lot of posters lost my respect over the past two months, and you’re at the top of the list, Norm.

Oh yeah. He and Michelle McCormick moved to Iowa and Palin knew it and didn’t discourage them. She instead fed the frenzy, and it was cruel.

I am wondering today if something in her personal life is about to drop? There may be something happening that would cause a candidate problems and hurt the party, which hasn’t been publicised yet.

I just really can not imagine that Palin would be this heartless and underhanded, to lead so many good people on, and then jerk the rug out from under them. Surely she isn’t this selfish?

Understood you don’t like Romney. Few if any here do. Problem is IMHO, the key here is to get rid of zero and the regime and get as good a conservative as we can get in office.
If you are looking for perfection......good luck.

If it’s not you, then my apologies. I couldn’t figure out from the post if it was an “I told you so” (i.e., that she’s NOT running) or that you were still saying she is running. Which is it?
