It seems we are having a lot of shifting of how the political game is played. Those out of the beltway versus the beltway. The latter raises the most money but the people are throwing them off. Could be an interesting change in how this works.

Can somebody explain to me, why it should cost so much to run a campaign? For what? It seems to me in this day and age of the Internet, you can get your message out without having to spend a ton of money.

And if the MSM does a blackout on Cain he's toast.

The Tea Part had less money than that and yet was able to seriously change the poltical landscape of this country.

Herman Cain who truly was until recently a virtual unknown had faith enough in himself to decide to run for President of the United States on his own. There was no Media hype/pressure/build-up about a possible run, there was no urging by members of the Party, no words spoken into his ear by party players, elites, beltway boys or pundits, not even a word of encouragement from the Republican Party of his home state only faith in himself. Now after months of being treated as being a inconsequential candidate the curious sideshow of a conservative black Republican, he is now in the top tier along with people of great party pull, of men with experienced political machines and the dollars to power them. He did that on his own with no help from anyone accept by his own. Now think what a man with faith in himself like that could accomplish if given the chance.

Now many are saying Cain hasn’t a chance with his little formal organization and even less money.

Well let me remind all of you of what a recent movement did with no formal organization and even less money, The Tea Party.

The Tea Party manage with both those weakness to go on and seriously change the political landscape and in doing so caused the Leftist members of govenment, ellitist of both political parties and media types to quake in fear of them and their rath and all done with only a minimum of formal organization and on a ‘shoe string’ budget.

That’s what sucessful AMERICANS do, what they have always done! It’s what makes us WINNERS! They start out with what they have and they MAKE IT WORK! They make it work because what they don’t have in manpower or money they make-up with brains, sweat, blood and last but most important faith.

Amazing. I'm guessing that he will soon have much more.

How did trying to buy the election work out for Romney the last time around?

Cain fires up audiences. As a result, he won the Florida straw poll, which resulted in a lot of free media attention.

He has been given free air time on most outlets, but as he becomes more well-known, that will dwindle. Especially as Romney and his supporters begin to perceive him as a threat.

Cain has also used the book tour to travel around the country at the publisher’s expense.

He’s worked the low-cost and free angles masterfully, but he’s going to need a lot of money to compete with the big boys.

Everyone knows where this money is coming from, but no one in power has the will to say or prove where it is coming from. If the GOP had some spine, they would be investigating this. The fact that they don't is suspicious to me.

“Please, FRiends, join me in sending Cain some money.”

I agree whole heartedly. EVERYONE SEND MONEY.

And every time you get the urge to whine about how the establishment is anointing Romney-SEND CAIN MORE MONEY

Let’s make every donation end in 9.99- send $9.99, or 19.99, or 29.99 etc

I’m thoroughly convinced that Herman Cain is going to win the nomination, and easily win the general election.

On the surface, it sounds bad until you consider that the average entitlement Obama voter costs much much more than in 2008 and a whole lot more than the per-voter cost of a Cain voter, if he wins the nomination. As soon as Perry is shamed out of running, I’m going to dump my donations on Cain. I figure in early February when I get my tax refund ought to do it for my part.

Radio and TV airtime, staff, travel. It’s one thing to campaign in one state, but a nationwide schedule is very expensive.

Don’t fight it, just accept it. Herman needs our cash or we’re going to have a choice between Romney and Obama.

The Dems will use Wall Street, mormon racism, and Romneycare to ruin Mitt. He is the most vulnerable candidate in the GOP race, and he’s the one they want and will likely get.

That is exactly what they’re doing with the investigation of Solyndra.
