Purpose of FR and why we can never support Mitt Romney
vanity | Oct 15, 2011 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 10/15/2011 1:51:20 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Edited on 10/15/2011 1:54:20 PM PDT by Jim Robinson. [history]

Our purpose and goal on FR is to restore, defend, preserve and protect the Constitution of the United States and to secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our posterity!!

The goal of the domestic enemy (the left), i.e., the statist liberals, Marxists and progressives is just the opposite.

The goal of the establishment RINO is to gain control of political power, but not to otherwise rock the boat. The boat continues taking on water and listing sharper to port every time the left takes over, but the unprincipled RINOs do absolutely nothing to right her when they get a chance. In fact, the RINOs actually tack on plenty of their own unconstitutional baggage when they're in power and so our ship of state today is in pretty bad shape.

RINO Romney is one of the worst. We can thank him for being the chief architect of ObamaCare, which if we cannot get overturned and repealed, will finally accomplish the left's major objective of shredding the final remnants of our tattered constitution and ending our God-given Liberty forever (they think).

The liberals believe our constitution is a flawed document written in a different time for different circumstances by rich old racist white men and no longer applies to today's circumstances. They're now even trying to promote the idea that the constitution was never intended to limit or restrict the powers of government.

Like hell! That was and is its primary intent! And we who have sworn an oath to defend it, will defend it--from all enemies, foreign and domestic!

And that's FR's purpose and reason for being.

Romney may be a Republican, and that's questionable, because he's violated nearly every plank in the Republican party's official pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Family, pro-Constitution, pro-Liberty platform, but he's definitely no conservative. In fact his record is that of a statist liberal progressive. And he's a total fraud to boot, with a nasty habit of lying--about everything. He'll do and say anything if he thinks it will help him get elected. He's a two-bit, unprincipled political whore.

Here's Romney's record on some of our primary issues of concern compared to Obama's:

Issue: Obama Romney
Pro-Abortion check check
Gun-grabber check check
Gay rights check check
Gov forced healthcare check check
Tax payer funded abortion check check
Man-made global warming check check
Liberal judges check check
Liberal appointees check check
Ted Kennedy pal check check
Proven liar check check
Fraud check check
Liberal Progressive check check
Enemy of Reagan/Bush check check
Enemy of the tea party check check
Enemy of Liberty check check
Defender of the Constitution no no
Conservative no no
Works across the aisle no yes
Architect of ObamaCare no yes
Domestic Enemy check check
Useful idiot check check

All of the above plus much more is documented in the RomneyTruth files on FR. Click the RomneyTruthFile keyword at the top of the main page. Also watch the "New Romney Campaign Video" also linked at the top of the main page. Watch it all the way through. I even saw some clips I'd never seen before. Pretty damning stuff for anyone running for president as a Republican.

Let's face it folks, the elite establishment RINO corps hates the tea party, hates conservatives, are afraid and even ashamed to have us identify ourselves as Republicans, feel we are dangerous extremist, racist, bigoted bible thumping, gun-toting, flag-waving neanderthals. The tea party is the best thing to happen for America since 1776 and our tea party candidates are the best thing for the GOP since Ronald Reagan, but what do the elite establishment RINOs do? They declare us the enemy! They went after Sarah Palin and some of our other tea party candidates with bared fangs and talons. Karl Rove and company were and continue to be as nasty and shameless on the attack as the nastiest lying liberal. Sarah Palin was the most exciting new face in GOP politics in a century and would have been a landslide 57 state victory over the corrupt, lying Marxist/progressive Obama. But the good ol' boys, i.e., the elite establishment corrupt crony capitalist GOP bastards could have none of that. Instead, they've opted to go all in with a corrupt, lying statist/progressive of their own: Willard (the Rat) Romney.

Well, good luck getting the Rat elected without the committed grassroots, pro-life, pro-constitution conservatives or the majority of the tea party.

FR, for one, will not play that game. NO MORE RINOS!!

No Romney. NOT ON FR!! NOT ON MY WATCH!!

Should Romney be "the one," I'll vote for the down-ticket conservatives on the ballot, but I will not vote for an abortionist, gay-rights pushing, gun-grabbing, global-warming advocating, big government healthcare mandating statist/progressive for president!! I'd rather write-in the name of the tea party conservative who best matches my beliefs. Romney is no 80 percenter. Not even close! He's the backstabbing enemy within.

God bless America!!

Long live the Republic!!

Here’s a copy of my 2007 anti-socialist post in it’s entirety. It still applies today. Romney is Rudy’s RINO twin, only Romney lies more trying to cover his evil deeds.

Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?

vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on Sat Apr 21 2007 18:42:25 GMT-0700 (Pacific Daylight Time) by Jim Robinson

We’ve got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God’s existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children’s education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I’m going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

JR has banned posters for past comments. I’ve personally seen it.

LOL...I assume you didn't even read your OWN post..."if they keep their mouths shut about Romney, are they still welcome?"

Are you saying there is no connection between "comments" and "keeping mouth shut"???...FRiend.

If a FReeper decides to vote for Romney IF he becomes the nominee but agrees not to promote Romney on FR and not to badger or condemn other FReepers who cannot vote for Romney, may he/she stay?
IOW, if they keep their mouths shut about Romney, are they still welcome?

I've been gone all weekend and just saw this thread and this question. If this question HAS been answered directly, I apologize for the repeat. However, I - and about half this forum - would appreciate a direct answer to Buckeye Texan's question.

If we have determined we ARE voting for the GOP nominee - no matter who that is, INCLUDING Romney - in an effort to oust the Marxist Tyrant, do we have to leave this forum? Or are we still allowed to post here?

My question is as simple as that, and I'd rather know sooner than later. I am mature enough to zot myself if I am thought to be stinking the place up.

PING!

Come on now Jim. Do the same thing for Santorum, Perry’s crony capitalism/globalism record (Cygnet for one), and another for NOOT. Well, maybe not NOOT, since it would require a redoubling of Freepathons to pay for the server storage it would require. :}

Take out the trash!

Dittos to that. Two NE RINOS and mittens has to tell more lies to cover the last one he said. I've convinced a lot of people who were thinking of supporting mittens that he is as BAD as the current occupant of the white hut.

Bullcrap. Rush has criticized Perry.

Rush has criticized Perry's debate performances not his policy stances. So you got a big bag of nothin'. I'll call your "bullcrap" and raise you a "horseshit!" Pony up or fold.

May 18, 2011: "Let me throw a name at you out there, and this person's toying with getting in the race. And there are some Republicans who are trying to convince this person to get in the race, and there is a lot of excitement attached to the possibility that this person will get in the race. ... Texas Governor Rick Perry. Texas Governor Rick Perry is lurking out there, and he has the potential to light this up.

If Rick Perry decides to get in this, folks, then you can wipe away all the conventional wisdom that's out there heretofore and to date, 'cause it's a brand-new day, and it starts all over again. And the Republican elites do not like Rick Perry. The Republican elites do not like Rick Perry....

Rick Perry stands in opposition to inside the Beltway Washington elites, I don't care what party they are.And he's got great hair."

May 27, 2011: ”I would like for Rick Perry to get in to it. Or anybody like him that would fire it up. The more conservatives in this race, the more full-throated, unapologetic, peddle-to-the-medal conservatives in this race, the greater the opportunity one of them is going to be elected in.”
September 13, 2011: Perry goofed up by using an executive order on the Gardasil -- there's no question he goofed up on it -- instead of taking it to the Texas legislature. He's admitted that over and over again. I think one of the reasons that Perry gets tired is that he had all the questions. He had to answer every question three or four times last night, and he did it smiling. I tell you, I would have probably (by the third or fourth time they came at me on this) have said, "What more do you need to hear on this? What more do you want to know?" There was an opt-out! If anybody didn't want to take it, they didn't have to. There was an opt out. So the next time, I'm gonna have to issue another warning: "Not only don't go bother with this Social Security Ponzi scheme stuff, but forget this vaccine business." This is ending up being a giant distraction.
October 12, 2011: Rick Perry managed to make himself disappear last night like he was an A-list magician in Las Vegas, in the debate. I don't know if he is finished after last night, but I like his basic message. I like Perry's basic message. But I don't know that he knows yet how to run for president, run for the office of president.

He was better in some ways than previous debates, but I thought he was just too passive last night. I know maybe the thinking is, "Let's be calm and cool and collected and exude an aura of confidence, an aura of 'I belong here,'" but there needs to be some energy. Perry needed to dominate last night. Somebody needed to hit Mitt Romney and the fact that his advisors show up at the White House on three different occasions to advise Obama's people on implementing Obamacare. I thought it would be a natural for Perry to do that, or for Newt, or any of them, Herman Cain. It did not happen. He needed to dominate, and he didn't dominate last night. Now, I don't know what it is.

The story is he's never done well in debates, that the format is not something that is conducive to him, and I understand that. Some people do better in various public settings than others do.

October 13, 2011: Look, it's not over for Rick Perry by a long shot. There's much more than debates that people get judged on. Speeches on the stump that are seen on television, campaign ads and so forth.

I’ve answered the question a thousand times already, most recently directly to Buckeye Texan just above. In fact, this entire thread is my statement regarding that question.

There’s a welcoming link to my position statement at the top of the main page:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2627159/posts

Read it and then try to imagine whether I should go ahead and scrap all of my deeply held beliefs so that I can support an abortionist, pro-gay rights, gun-grabbing, big government solution loving, socialist healthcare mandating, global warming advocating progressive liar for president? Do you really think I’m going to go there?

Here is my statement in its entirety for your convenience:

“Welcome to Free Republic, America’s exclusive site for God, Family, Country, Life & Liberty conservatives!”

One more time:

As a conservative site, Free Republic is pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-Constitution, pro-Bill of Rights, pro-gun, pro-limited government, pro-private property rights, pro-limited taxes, pro-capitalism, pro-national defense, pro-freedom, and-pro America. We oppose all forms of liberalism, socialism, fascism, pacifism, totalitarianism, anarchism, government enforced atheism, abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, racism, wacko environmentalism, judicial activism, etc. We also oppose the United Nations or any other world government body that may attempt to impose its will or rule over our sovereign nation and sovereign people. We believe in defending our BORDERS, our constitution and our national sovereignty.

Free Republic is private property. It is not a government project, nor is it funded by government or taxpayer money. We are not a publicly owned entity nor are we an IRS tax-free non-profit organization. We pay all applicable taxes on our income. We are not connected to or funded by any political party, news agency, or any other entity. We sell no merchandise, product or service, and we offer no subscriptions or paid memberships. We accept no paid advertising or promotions. We are funded solely by donations (non tax deductible gifts) from our readers and participants.

We aggressively defend our God-given and first amendment guaranteed rights to free speech, free press, free religion, and FREEDOM of ASSOCIATION, as well as our constitutional right to control the use and content of our own personal private property. Despite the wailing of the liberal trolls and other doom & gloom naysayers, we feel no compelling need to allow them a platform to promote their repugnant and obnoxious propaganda from our forum. Free Republic is NOT a liberal debating society. We are conservative activists dedicated to defending our GOD-GIVEN rights, defending our constitution, defending our republic and defending our traditional American way of Life.

Our God-given Life, Liberty and freedoms are NOT negotiable!!

For God, Family, Country, Life and Liberty!!

If you cannot live with the above, fine, but keep your mouth shut about it while on FR. Don’t fight against us on ANY of our deeply held beliefs!!

DON’T TREAD ON ME!!

Anti Life & Liberty trolls will be ZOT on sight!!

I know what I said and I know what I meant.

I asked if FReepers were welcome if they kept their mouths shut about Romney.

A FReeper may be able to keep his or her mouth shut about Romney from here on out but still be banned later when their previous, positive comments about Romney are brought to Jim’s attention.

I have seen it done, FRiend. I saw someone banned two months later for a particular comment. A group of FReepers brought it to Jim’s attention because it was relevant to the then current discussion and Jim banned his @ss.

I basically asked Jim if he’d do the same with regard to Romney.

Recognizing illegal aliens as a protected class that deserve special tuition status is stuck in my craw and I can’t seem to cough it back up.

And you shouldn't have to do that. Consider the following though. Perry's positions on the rest of our values are spot-on conservative. Putting him in the WH and taking control of the Senate gives us control over amnesty. Even if Perry wanted to push for amnesty, we'd control the House and Senate and could nip it right quick. I'm okay with that. Remember Reagan's 80% Rule. You can attribute Perry's in-state tuition stance to the 20% with which you disagree.

I think Perry is 4th on JR’s list. He said he’d support him if he became the nominee and that we’d work hard at FR to prevent any attempt by Perry to push amnesty as we did with Bush. (Well, I wasn’t here then, so not really “we” in that sense.)
