REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES NEED A BETTER MESSAGE THAN TRUMP'S AND THEY BETTER FIND IT OR ELSE.......
8/28/2015 | Self

What is Donald Trump?

Is he serious or is he some sort of show? Is he some asymmetrical weapon sent in by the Clinton's to disrupt the Republican Party?

He is certainly doing a good deed by tearing down the Republican Establishment and its anointed candidate, Jeb Bush.

His strong push on Amnesty has drawn fire from the GOPe and its affiliated media who have reacted to the backlash by sometimes backing off or in one case even joining him like Ann Coulter (a spy sent in by the GOPe???).

Trump has sucked away the attention and opinion poll ratings of all the other candidates and now that he's asking for campaign contributions, the money may be sucked away from the other candidates as well.

I support Ted Cruz but I admit his message can't match Trump's.

When I listen to Trump hearken to America's tradition of economic greatness and famous military leaders of the past like Patton and MacArthur I am reminded of the words of a British political leader who spoke in our country earlier this year.

United Kingdom Independence Party leader Nigel Farage told a sparse audience at the CPAC gathering that Republicans had better not 'forget the Reagan Democrats'.

I sense that Trump is resonating with folks like that folks like my father, who fits the "Reagan Democrat" description.

They remember a time when there were full time jobs in America that paid good wages and came with medical benefits.

Now they see a flood of lower paying part time jobs for their children and grandchildren. They see Obamacare driving up healthcare costs for the employed, so insurance companies and hospital groups can rake in money.

The under 30 hour jobs and the Cadillac Health Plan tax in Obamacare were designed to help big business cut and contain their health insurance costs just like a socialist single payer system would, but retaining the private health insurance concept.

"Barack Obama sold out working people in America"-who will step up to the plate to speak that truth.

The biggest offense to the Reagan Democrats is the flood of illegal immigrants and plans to legalize them with Amnesty. They are disgusted by the cheapening of the labor market hurting their children and grandchildren's future.

Over in the UK United Kingdom Independence Party leader Nigel Farage describes his country's political system as "corporatism", a collaboration of big banks, big business and big government against small business and individuals.

I support Ted Cruz but Ted had better wake up and start talking like I just did in this post or else he will be left behind as the Trump Tsunami engulfs him.

Most of the American public hates lawyers and CEO’s.
That is a big problem for a lot of the field.

He’s against free trade, yes? That puts him in line with most democrats and out of line with most conservatives.

Question...you indicate “or else”. What is this “or else” you speak of in the title? “Or else” we see yet another milquetoast gopuke as the nominee? “Or else” we end up with another designated loser?

Frankly I see that there is lots of upside in the DT candidacy and very little downside. Especially if you consider that the downside risk is pretty much what we’re already getting.

I think he’d be great candidate for the Supremes.

remember the RINOS hated Reagan’s tax plan…

Actually Reagan hated his tax plan. Kemp went for the full 30% Reagan said it was too much, they finally settled on a 10-10-10 and called it 30% which it wasn't.

BUMP for TRUMP, Carson for VP

Beginning to look more likely by the day. Ted will not be the candidate this round and many freepers will wail and gnash their teeth but to no avail.

Ted says all the right things but he just is not an inspiring speaker. Those here that denounced Palin for having a screechy voice would do well to remember what you said.

To again save the employers as in business lobbyists who wanted it that way. They wanted to be relieved of the cost of providing health insurance, to be given another bailout by law in the form of ‘healthcare reform’.

I’ll give you that Trump clearly has shaken things up, but what will he do in the end assuming that he is serious.

Will it be good stuff or bad stuff?

Will the budget be balanced with no more debt ceiling hikes to drive the debt payments up like the whole nation is beholden like a credit card company customer?

Will Obama policies be reversed meaningfully from Obamacare on down the line?

I accept the GOPe is knocked down and they can stay knocked down as far as I am concerned.

I don’t hate Trump but I am watching and listening and hoping for something better that specifically hits at the problems and the special interests driving those problems from the national debt to Obamacare to the crazy no win wars we have gotten into since Korea.

The phenomenon of Trump is like the one we got with Obama
back in 2008.

I hope Trump is better than Obama and time will tell us that......

GOPE with a better message? LoL not going to happen because their constituency are big donors who control them, and they have their heads here.

All those negatives you listed are going to continue to happen if a ‘rat or mainstream republican gets elected. Every single one. Our one party system has an agenda, and preservation of the middle class and the US itself are not on it. So, given that we’re deeply screwed, where is the downside risk to DT? If he is completely the opposite of everything he says, if he completely fails, what happens other than we’re pretty much where we’re heading anyway?

But if he turns out to be sincere, if he turns out to be competent, if he accomplishes even half of what he sets out to do....we’re in a heck of a lot better place than we are now.

It’s like the sage wisdom: if you find yourself lying face down in a gutter, you don’t have much place to go but up.

That big money won’t allow it.

I would like to see a Third Party and or Civil Disobedience to change things where we at the grassroots do some heavy lifting and don’t place our faith in someone else (Trump, Obama, Reagan whoever).

I support Ted Cruz, but I think 95 percent of the folks we elect as Republicans aren’t really conservative in the end.

I am not going to vote for anyone that I do not believe will do something very drastic about illegal immigration. That has to be a major part in taking back our country. I like Ted Cruz but would not vote for him because he has not said he would strictly enforce our immigration laws and deport illegals that are here now.

I will not vote for Bush because he is an ultimate RINO and isn’t even hiding it.

I would consider voting for Ben Carson, but few others even have my consideration.

The border issues are far more serious than many believe, to ignore them is like trying to pay bills when there are home invaders inside your home. Until we secure our border and deport people who have no business being here to begin with we don’t have a country. Not only are many illegals hardened criminals, we have no idea how many may be full fledged terrorists. We have illegals here from every country on the planet.

People don’t see the big deal about securing the border and enforcing our immigration laws. Our immigration laws were set up to determine who was coming in and out of this country and what their purpose is in coming here. When they simply walk across the border we do not know anything about them at all. People who have top notch home security, maybe even security guards, and who would never leave an exterior door unlocked seem to think it is fine to do the same with our country. The door to this country is not only unlocked, it is wide open, and a welcome mat is out.

The GOP Establishment and their donors need to be torn up. They are as bad as the Marxists in the DNC for our Nation. I suspect a lot of the donors are global Marxists on the Chi-com and UN train.
