The personalized letters target individual Iowa voters and identifies them as having failed to vote in prior elections. They are admonished and then encouraged to vote this year. In addition the letters identify the neighbors of the voter, and provides their voting history.
The text reads:
"You are receiving this election notice because of low expected voter turnout in your area. Your individual voting history as well as your neighbors' are public record. Their scores are published below, and many of them will see your score as well. CAUCUS ON MONDAY TO IMPROVE YOUR SCORE and please encourage your neighbors to caucus as well. A follow-up notice may be issued following Monday's caucuses".
In an effort to shame the recipient, the notice also informs the targeted voter their neighbors have also been notified of the recipients poor voting record.

I will pray this was an opposition scam, because I really want Cruz in second place throughout the campaign. I want a trump /Cruz ticket which is an automatical winning formula.

Far as people on FR who support him, I don’t know, I’d say I wouldn’t hold anything against them at all.
Politicians lie. People, for one reason or another, believe those lies, but not because they are bad people, but because they are being taken advantage of by professional liars.
I fell for some lies. I believed Rubio in Florida and voted for him. I’m a ****in’ fool. I thought I was doing good, but I was doing what he wanted me to do. trying to learn from that so I don’t do it again.
I liked Ted Cruz too. Ever since he was elected. Seems like I don’t know him to awful well though, because I would have never expected this from him at all.
They have no ability to comprehend this intimidation tactic is not acceptable by any ‘conservative’ candidate... including Trump. This is just so Hillry Clinton style....
Tough love is for family and friends. I’m not looking for love, tough or otherwise, from politicians.

I remember those. The usual suspects were up in arms about THAT too.
Ha! Yeah, this mailer sounds like burly, swarthy guys will be picking you up in a nondescript 1990s sedan and throwing you out the passenger door at the polling place.

If I received one of those in the mail I would be just as angry as the RNC mailing the other day with a One Thousand Dollar check they wanted me to sign over to them. Ted Cruz and Wrenched Prepuce can both stick it somewhere. Only a shallow and evil mind would think of that.
He didn't know. And it makes no difference because most people aren't paranoid nationalists who are terrified of dual citizens of Canada or any other western democracy for that matter.
Canada could grant Trump citizenship today if they wanted. Why do you give another country absolute power over what candidate you would choose to vote for? He never asked to be a dual citizen, their laws caused it to happen.
Its something they do up in Canada. The government sends those out every election up there...
I’m in marketing also...this is really terrible on ALL fronts.
First, you have the neighbors names being mentioned so the recipient’s very first thought will be that their name is appearing on other people’s mailers.
Then, we have the ridiculous idea of sending “grades” to adults.
Finally, the entire design of the thing is hideous.
I’m sure you are like me...most things I see make me go “meh”...a few immediately grab my attention and I think “wonder who did that, it’s great!” Then, there’s this...OMG.
You all need a different word than bullying. I hate it like I have “participation trophy.” Kid at school claimed bullying when classmates agreed he’d been late to class every day one week. It’s now a liberal word.
This may go down as one of the great all time campaign screw ups; and only 48 hours away from voting.
This is a reasonably well publicized source. If you look over their articles, they spare no politician, on the right or left and they cover quite a bit more than politics.

With tactics like this, why doesn’t Cruz just mark the ballot for the voter and let them know how the election came came out. /s
