Someone said that an opposing candidate does not have standing to sue. I support Trump, so I’m not operating from TDS. It had to do with the injury being to the state electors, I think. I can’t quite remember. I’d have to find it again.
I think a state has to sue if they’re not permitted to keep an ineligible off their ballot.
no, his IQ is less than 90 guaranteed.
if he worried about his cred, he would have stopped posting years ago.
he’s very comfortable with what the Daily Kos and Huff Po believe in actually....
I bet Univision came out just fine. Really amazing that the new definition of alpha male around here is someone with his lawyers on speed dial.
Neither of us know the details of the deal. What do you expect a businessman who’s an alpha-male as you put it, to do to get certain things done? Lawyers are a necessity in that environment. What did you expect he would do in a breach of contract situation, or were you just talking without thinking again?
Congrats on making the Mark Levin show!
Do you expect people to take you seriously with statements like that or do you just like starting flame wars? Isn’t that what you claim to dislike about Trump, his immature tone? And then you make absurd comments like this.
Why do you think that?
There are no Constitutional issues involved in “running for President”.
The term “Standing” means for the ability of a party to demonstrate to the court sufficient connection to and harm from the law or action challenged to support that party’s participation in the case.
Trump should be able to demonstrate that his election and vote can be affected by a person who is not even eligible to run for President, since they are both running for the nomination.
RE: There are no Constitutional issues involved in “running for President”.
Several if the person running is to be the nominee — You must be 35 years of age at least, and you must be a natural born citizen of the United States.
The latter is the issue with Cruz.
There are no Constitutional limits on "running for President", the Constitution does not even recognize the electoral method of appointing electors, much less the process of "running for President".
None of this has any legal or Constitutional significance until the Electoral College meets in December 2016.
True. Most people don't realize that according to the Constitution, a state could choose electors by picking the first "x" number of names from the phone book if they wanted. The only thing the Constitution says about it is that it is up to the state legislature to determine the method for selecting electors to the Electoral College.
Seems to be more overwhelming than your definition of conservatism... which is____________________________?
{ crickets crickets crickets }
BTW, Did'ya catch this article on Brietbart?
"Trump won't be able to trump Cruz on conservatism. So now he's making clear that he isn't running a conservative campaign - he's running a nationalist and populist campaign. His enemies include both Republicans and conservatives"
http://www.breitbart.com/2016-presidential-race/2016/02/11/cruz-knocks-trump-as-non-conservative-trump-admits-it/
RutRoh!
Guess that kinda dampens the glee in mudville ehh?
BTW --
[Playing Trump]
Kid #1: Look what I got It's the Donald Trump action figure.
Kid #2: No way that's yuuuuuge! - what does it do?
Kid #1: He pretends to be a Republican....
{ all the kids laugh }
Best laugh of the day - thanks again for pointing that out!
Go for it. Let us know how it works.
That's why I support him.
i can't "go for it," I'm not on any ballot. Sorry (for my self, not apologizing to you) I mistook you for good faith. Lesson learned.
There hasn't been a case like this before. All the Obama Birther cases got tossed due to lack of standing.
