JIm It's Time You Demand A Truce In Cruz/Trump War!
Me

Posted on 03/30/2016 3:09:28 PM PDT by OneVike

Jim;

Things have gotten way out of control here as of late. You know as well as most of us, that this war must end and end now, or your forum will end up being nothing more than a joke.

I humbly suggest that you not just request, but demand, that everyone step back and take a serious look at the slanderous comments being made by both camps. Debate is one thing, but what is happening is no longer a debate. This forum is on the verge of a civil war. A war that need not happen. For the good of this great forum, I and many I have talked to on both sides of the war admit things have gone too far.

I am a Ted Cruz supporter, yet I call on all my fellow Cruz supporters to put the knives back in the sheaths, as I ask the same of all you Trump supporters.

This civil war of Freeper against Freeper must end, or the result will inevitably be a complete destruction of this once great forum.

I begin by laying down my weapons as a gesture of good will. From hence forth I will not post any comments that are just knee jerk angry remarks that only serve to fuel the fires of hate and animosity.

We all have a common enemy in this fight, the eventual Democrat Presidential Nominee. I suggest we all remember this, because a house divided upon itself cannot stand, nor defeat the enemy.

I also offer this promise to everyone. Should Trump win the nomination, I promise to fight as hard, and as passionate, for him to become POTUS as I will for Cruz.

I got a good joke!

Trump falls short.
Cruz hands fraud convention to Ryan.
Jeb becomes UNELECTED Republican nominee.
Hillary wins US Presidency.
Sanders accepts VP.
Mass migration through the decade.
US population is 1 billion, mostly foriegners.
Citizens are deported.
Democrats reign for 200 years.
The people are poor serfs to the Uniparty.

Your granddaughter bewilderly asks you why you thought this was a joke.

A truce is fine with me.. anybody who really thinks Cruz stands any chance at all, is living in a fantasy land... There really is absolutely no point in Trump supporters taking down Cruz at this point...

Trump and Cruz need to stop their war as well....As long as those two go at it, so will their fans.

At this phase, both Trump and Cruz would lose to Hillary. they are off message and focused solely on each other. Issues aren’t being discussed/

If you haven’t noticed lately, 0bama approval rating is way up. Trump and Cruz with their nastiness, are making him look good.

This must stop or Hillary will win.

Alot of the problems started to crop up after the Bush cabal joined the Cruz team. Coincidence?

My greatest fear is the GOPe installs Kasich, Ryan or some other globalist as the nominee at the convention. We can’t let that happen. If Trump or Cruz don’t have the delegates at the convention don’t be deluded into thinking they can get the nomination. Rove and his ilk aren’t signing off for Cruz as the nominee even if Bush and others in Cruz’ inner circle are whispering that in his ear.

Agreed. My anticipation is Hillary Clinton will play very, very, very dirty.
The phrase Arkancide exists for a reason, as the Clintons will stop at nothing in pursuit of their goals.
At the same time my hope is our Republican candidates do not supply her with additional soundbites.

If every person cared more about finding (or waiting for) the real truth than they care about destroying the person running against their chosen one, this would be a different place. We can’t legislate an evidence-based epistemology and the fruit of the Spirit; people either have it or they don’t, and as long as people don’t care for truth we’re gonna have problems.

FR is a microcosm of the nation. A democratic Republic can only survive if the populace is moral. And the USA mostly isn’t. Most people care about what is expedient, not what is right or true. The only way the nation will turn around and be saved is if the people let GOD change them into people who truly seek truth and justice.

And because I said that out loud here, my comments are all being moderated as if my account was less than a week old. Apparently Romans 1 is not OK here.

I signed up today to post this: Cruz stood with violent leftist protesters and against America loving patriots. The end.

My choices are: Vote Cruz and nudge the convention toward a second ballot and an eventual establishment nominee, or vote Trump and nudge the convention toward a first ballot nomination of Trump. Cruz and Trump are both dramatically better than Kasich/Rubio/Jeb/Christie. I’m voting and advocating for the one who has a chance to win.

Does that make sense?

“Sorry, but Ted is not a NBC. Not sure why that issue keeps getting ignored.”
Because people who disagree with you see no purpose in arguing about it. Does anyone expect to change anyone else’s mind?

I wish you all the best on this. I am in complete agreement. I have simply stopped reading the comments if the thread involves either candidate, they all degenerate to vitriolic attacks from both sides, and it’s just disgusting. It was bad, but never this bad in 04, 08 and 12

Good idea, they should just ban everybody, that would help grow conservative ideas and Americanism

So.....Frederick Trump isn't the sort of fellow that should be running for president.

Guess what......he isn't!

He is also quite dead!

So, a priest, a rabbi, and a nun walk into a bar.

The bartender says, Is this some kind of joke?”

I’m all for telling people when they’re being hostile and, more particularly, when they are factually wrong.

The candidates deserve our scrutiny and I don’t get agitated when FReepers trash public political figures, if they can back their assertions and positions with the truth.

I DO have a problem with FReeper on FReeper personal attacks.

Final note: never fall in love with a politician. With rare exception, they will disappoint you every time.

No, but the discussion about such reports should be civil, and not come down to stretching the story out of context.
