Things have gotten way out of control here as of late. You know as well as most of us, that this war must end and end now, or your forum will end up being nothing more than a joke.
I humbly suggest that you not just request, but demand, that everyone step back and take a serious look at the slanderous comments being made by both camps. Debate is one thing, but what is happening is no longer a debate. This forum is on the verge of a civil war. A war that need not happen. For the good of this great forum, I and many I have talked to on both sides of the war admit things have gone too far.
I am a Ted Cruz supporter, yet I call on all my fellow Cruz supporters to put the knives back in the sheaths, as I ask the same of all you Trump supporters.
This civil war of Freeper against Freeper must end, or the result will inevitably be a complete destruction of this once great forum.
I begin by laying down my weapons as a gesture of good will. From hence forth I will not post any comments that are just knee jerk angry remarks that only serve to fuel the fires of hate and animosity.
We all have a common enemy in this fight, the eventual Democrat Presidential Nominee. I suggest we all remember this, because a house divided upon itself cannot stand, nor defeat the enemy.
I also offer this promise to everyone. Should Trump win the nomination, I promise to fight as hard, and as passionate, for him to become POTUS as I will for Cruz.

Trump similarly does not take counsel of his fears and has an army of lawyers that are in effect a tool for defeating his enemies.
Lack of schooling is not a problem so much as ignorance of the way differences are peacefully resolved in the courts, especially business differences
I’ll just say that I believe there are a fair number of Trump supporters who wish for FR to be an echo chamber of support for him and I’m happy enough to leave those threads alone for that.

As for “Low Energy,” “Little Marco” and... yes, “Lyin’ Ted” - those nick-names wouldn’t have stuck if they didn’t have some basis in reality. For example, “Low Energy” wouldn’t have worked against Chris Christie, “Little John” wouldn’t have worked against Kasich, and “Lyin’ Ben Carson” would have sounded silly. The reason those names stick is because there’s some element of truth in them.

Well said. I find I'm much more persuasive in verbal conversation than written discussion. I've always believed that internet chat rooms are, shall we say, a less than optimal avenue for discourse of weighty issues. The speed of discussions usually outpaces the responses of the participants, unless they can type at 100+ words per minute.
Of course, when you're face to face, both parties are less likely to hurl attacks at each other. You may not reach common ground, but you can agree to disagree with some comity.

Trump has always been a liberal. How can a conservative continue to ignore his history? Is he better then Obama? yes Is he better than Hillary? We should be spending our time making sure she goes to jail instead of insulting each other. Then Hillary wouldn’t even be an option.

IMHO, the Trump/Cruz debacle isn't a sandbox. It's two sabre tooth tigers fighting for mating rights, and the battle has carried them into the Brea Tar Pits. We all know how that turned out, both the victor and vanquished perished.
