Posted on 09/02/2016 11:33:55 PM PDT by Helicondelta

The poll showed 40 percent of likely voters supporting Trump and 39 percent backing Clinton for the week of Aug. 26 to Sept. 1. Clinton’s support has dropped steadily in the weekly tracking poll since Aug. 25, eliminating what had been a eight-point lead for her.

Trump’s gains came as Republican support for their party’s candidate jumped by six percentage points over the past two weeks, to about 78 percent.

“Hillary, you know what C means in an e-mail?”

"Yes, it means pass this to the Clinton Foundation to sop up more money selling state secrets to foreign countries."

if the election was today, Trump is still far behind in the electoral count.

he may very well win by 20% popular vote, but still lose electoral college.

Impossible that both could occur.

BTW, your screen name matches your use of the language.

And despite talk radio.

Rush was off most of the week. His anti-Trump BS was stopped for a few days at least. Levin & Beck are burning somewhere in hell!

The only one that's even remotely pro-Trump, is Hannity and if you listen to the first fifteen minutes of repeat, repeat, repeat and repeat again, you've heard the whole show. Can't take him for that reason alone!

We all know the massive landslide that Reagan had over Carter in 1980. But if Free Republic (and the internet) were around back then, it would have been a very uneasy time to be here because polls consistently had either a dead heat or a solid Carter lead.

Now that landslide was explained away by the distraught media as a "last minute Reagan surge" but that's BS. Reagan had that race won all along but like today, polls were manipulated to create the narrative that Reagan had an uphill battle.

I don’t know why you post this. It’s nonsense.

At worst right now Trump would beat Romney’s 2012 map-—IF you believe the highly doctored polls. In fact, right now, today, Trump would carry FL and IA and NV and NC and MO and probably OH. He would win the Electoral College.

Right now, today, VA, NH, and PA would be close, and he would lose WI, MI, and Co. But the way things are trending he could win 2/3 of these.

But that’s IF you believe the doctored polls and ignore the reality of very significant voter registration changes in IA, OH, FL, and NV.

What is the percentage of registered Dems and GOP. I would think the DNC has more, probably not 12% more.

This election is effectively over. The Hillary is sick mantra just got a new burst of “legs” and it won’t stop until November.

You might read the threads that “Ravi” has posted on voter changes in FL, IA, NC, and Cuyahoga Co OH.

Bottom line, never the most blue counties of OH and FL have seen NET Republican gains-—big Republican gains.

...he may very well win by 20% popular vote, but still lose electoral college...

While this is theoretically possible, I think that anything more than a 2-3% popular vote win means an electoral college win in practical terms.

Wow, I hope those reports on internal polls are true. The rallies seem to support it and honestly, this is the first election I have seen where there is almost NO VISIBLE SUPPORT for the leftist swine candidate. I mean, you can tell and pick out the Trump supporters easily, but the illary supporters are completely underground and invisible, like they are ashamed, as they should be.

The “media”, gradually telling the truth about their poll results? I can see Trump gaining every day if this holds true.

This shows a complete lack of understanding of national elections. While it is possible to win the popular vote by a small margin and lose the Electoral College (see Bush/Gore 2000), nobody believes that can happen with a popular vote margin greater than about 2%.

That setup only gets Trump to 264, which is why Pennsylvania is getting so much attention. Either CO or VA would also do the trick, and NH plus ME2 would produce a tie.

LOL

I know right!

If TRUMP wins the popular by 20% it will be a LANDSLIDE Victory

All those swing States will go to TRUMP

This isn’t Bush vs Gore when Gore won the popular by only .5%

Your contention that Trump could carry the popular vote by 20% and lose the electoral college is impossible. If Clinton won 270 electoral votes by winning those states with the minimum one vote, Trump would have to poll over 70% in the remaining states. He’ll not reach 70% in a single state.
