Trump Slams Courts By Reading Federal Law on Illegal Aliens

Speaking to a conference crowd of local law enforcement officers and leaders in Washington Wednesday, President Trump slammed the courts for what he perceives as lawyering of straight forward immigration law the White House is using to justify his recent travel ban.

Standing at the lectern, Trump read aloud title eight, chapter 12 of U.S. Code which states: "Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or non-immigrants, or impose on entry of aliens any restrictions may deem to be appropriate."

“Trump is not a lawyer but he was clear about the law.”

The lawyers on TV will spend the next few days telling us why the federal law, which could not be more clear, doesn’t mean what it says.

It’s not like he can pick up a phone call anyone in the fedgov and say “you’re fired”.,

Maybe not the President...but there is a mechanism by which a Congress Critter can fire an individual federal employee

You obviously didn't read my post #62.

I can only hope that Trump is playing this game with an eye to having these judges removed from the bench for their obvious misconduct.

You also demonstrate an ignorance of the federal judiciary and the Constitution.

Good question. Rendering himself vulnerable to Judicial Sedition is puzzling.

I don’t understand why he didn’t just tell the courts to pound sound. But, as has been the case with every move he has made since June 2015, I’ve learned to sit back and wait to see how he is five moves ahead of what my brain can forsee...

He's about to expose that particular court as being a highly-biased court. Beyond any reasonable doubt.

Sitting back and watching is a good approach.

9th circuit court will make their ruling AFTER 5PM Friday so as to render further action useless until Monday morning. Our courts should not be 9-5. Time to break up the 9th.

If a President has this power removed by the Courts then Constitution means nothing, and we are a lawless society.

Fake news media slammed Trump for offering his opinion on the 9 Circus hearing>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Yet when Obama criticized and insulted the Supreme Court before a joint session of Congress during a state of the Union Address in 2010, the press lauded him.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=deGg41IiWwU

Such are the wages of liberal fascism.

http://www.americanthinker.com/2009/05/barack_obama_the_quintessentia_1.html)

Trump should continue his criticism of the judicial branch which has put all of America at risk. President Trump’s criticism is far more legitimate than Obama’s was.

Robart is going to receiving a smack down and Trump will let the courts do it. It would be a dereliction of Congressional duty not to impeach and remove Robart from the bench for malfeasance. The Congressional Republicans must step up to the plate on this.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

A agree but with one caveat. If America suffers a bomb attack or mass shooting brought about by terrorist visitors, while these leftists judges eff with America, you can expect a military lock-down of every port of entry in America, and the military will be vetting who is allowed in by order of the Commander in Chief. Watch it happen.

Trump isn’t the squishes at DHS now, is he?

President Trump is DHS now. He became DHS the day he was sworn in or do you not get it.

Do you not know that he appoints the head of DHS? When you are elected President you gain responsibility of a bunch of YUGE things

I saw that, but couldn’t make head or tails of where it tells you the date of the original act (8 U.S.C. 1182(f)), and the dates of it modifications preferably with what in 8 U.S.C. 1182(f) was modified.

It's a wonder anyone can keep track of laws.
The obfuscation is intentional, no doubt.
I didn't do too well in my legal research class, sadly.

Here is one source for tracking details from the feds themselves.

US House of Representatives search tool for US Codes

No trees being saved here.
