DOCTORS EXPOSE US CENTRE FOR DISEASE CONTROL SEX ED SCANDALS & CORRUPTION OF SCHOOL CHILDREN
Family Research Council, News Headlines & The Washington Times ^ | 4/15/2002 | re report by Physicians Consortium & Robert Stacey McCain

I. FAMILY RESEARCH COUNCIL, News Headline Retrieved: "Physician's Consortium-Sexual Messages in Govenment-Promoted Progrqams"

Story: The Centres for Disease Control (CDC) is using taxpayer dollare to promote explicit and graphic "comprehensive sex education" curriculum for teenage consumption, according to a Physician's Consortium report released April 10. "Sexual Messages in GOvernment-Promoted Programs" describes the kind of messages and activities included in CDC-sponsored programs, some of which are promoted as "abstinence-plus."

The Consortium's findings were egregious enough that researchers preparing the report for publication found it necessary to warn readers sardonically that "the content of the enclosed report is intended for teens and may be too explicit for adults." Because of the sensitive nature of the report's contents, FRC has chosed to post only the introductory summary of the report.

To obtain a copy of the full report, contact the FRD Press Office at (202)-393-2100.

FIRST PAGE ONLY OF PHYSICIANS CONSORTIUM REPORT, "SEXUAL MESSAGES IN GOVERNMENT-PROMOTED PROGRAMS AND TODAY'S YOUTH CULTURE:

While it is safe to say that most parents have the desire to raise health, well-informed young adults, it is likely that a great nuymber of them would be shocked if they know what was actually being taught to their children. In a review of the various "CDC Programs That Work," it was found that the concept of abstinence was typically only briefly mentioned, if at all.

Many "Programs That Work" promoted by the CDC have been referred to as "Abstinence-Puls" or "Abstinence-Based" education. Despite this benign name, a review of many "Abstinence-Plus" programs seem to be only thinly-disguised "safe sex" programs preoccupied with promoting condom use among young people.

In the typical "Abstinence-Plus" program, students are required to go to the store to find condoms, learn about lubricants (including "grape jelly, maple syrup and honey,"), and brainstorm "ways tomake condoms fun and pleasurable" (such as planning a special day when they can experiment). In tyhe classroom, students practice using condoms by unrolling them on items such as cucumbers or dildoes. The implicit message in most of these programs is that sexual activity by young people is both expected and accepted by society.

Abstinence is the only practical and safe way to prevent the sexually transmitted diseases and non-marital pregnancy epidemics. In the pages that follow, it can be seen that the information currently being taught to the young people in our society, whether in schools, outside programs or via teen websites and magazines, does a great disservice to the cause of protecting this generation from physical and emotional harm. --------------------------------------------------------- II. "CDC links to pro-sex teen site (blackline-small.gif)," by Robert Stacy McCain, THE WASHINGTON

A Federal web site features a link to the internet pages of "pro-sex" activists who provice teenagers with explicit advice about homosexuality, sodomy and masturbation.

Listings for "youth" resources on a Centres for Disease Control and PRevention (CDC) site, includes a link to the COaltion for POsitive Sexuality (CPS), a self-described "guerrilla sex education" group.

"If you think you might be queer, relax!" the CPS site urges teens, and offers this suggestion: "If you think you are queer, try to find a lesbian/bisexual/gay/transgender community centre near you, where you can meet other queers your age."

THe CDC site's "youth" links include the Advocates for Youth site, which promotes activism to overturn FEderal abstinence education policies.

A Department of Agriculture spokeswoman said yesterday the department would remove a link to CPS from one of its websites. THat site, www.cyfernet.org, includes "positive youth development" links to the sex advice site Go Ask Alice and to Planned Parenthood's Teenwire site.

"We are in the process of taking down the link to CPS," public affairs specialist Maria BYnum dais yesterday afternoon. "And we will work with the Cyfernet program office and the university partners to review the other sites and determine what the next steps are."

The Federal internet links have come under fire from the Physicians Consortium, a Pennsylvania-based public policy group.

MY NOTES RE US CDC "PROGRAMS THAT WORK:"

First, the US CDC does not directly author these sex ed programs, but rather reviews and then promotes outside private sources & their sex ed curriculum products, such as SIECUS and ETR Associates. This eliminates direct accountability and liability for same.

US Fed law requires that, if any Fed money is spent on sex ed-specifically re the high known ineffectiveness of male lates condoms ("safe sex") in preventing HIV, STD's & prewgnancy-that sex ed info must be medically accurate, diligent and honest. US CDC "reviewing" outside private programs, rather than "authoring" such "Programs That Work" themselves, is an attempt to circumvent this Fed law.

Second, because these US CDC "PRograms That Work" are not produced by the Feds, but are privately owned, they are NOT available under US Fed Freedom of Information Act. One must BUY them from the private companies. One State Dep't of Ed. official told me that only teachers and people directly involved in offering these programs can obtain them! (THankfully, the PHysicians Consortium has managed to obtain same for their professional review.)

Third, these US CDC "Programs That WOrk" are supposedly effective, not based on objective, scientific-based studies, but rather on subjective, psycho-social-based teen questionairres. For example, there is no comparison between control and study groups of school children re the hard numbers of teen pregnancy, teen births, abortions, HIV & AIDS cases, STD cases, etc. Rather, the control and study groups of school children are asked personal questions about their sexual behaviour patterns & risk behaviours.

Lastly, these and similiar programs are disseminated to local public schools & teachers, via State Dep'ts of Education. One State Dep't of Ed. "Health Education Resource Centre" (where "approved" teaching materials by the State is made available to public school staff), told me that the same office that offers these US CDC "Programs That Work" to children is 100% US CDCX grant funded.

Thus, this source of medically inaccurate, dishonest and negligent sex ed curriculum disinformation is being pushed across the entire country, via States, to local public schools. If any child suffers any pain, distress, loss, disease or death as a result of acting upon such sex ed disinfo, I urge immediate consultation with a trusted Clergy, Physician and Lawyer without delay. Partental questions and concerns should be answered first by consulting a

trusted CLergy, Physician and Lawyer.

When will parents wake up to this???? I think what gets me mad more than anything is that most parents continue to send their kids off to these institutions each and everyday.

Pretty sickening stuff in this article. Fortunately, my children attend private Christian school and abstinence was all they learned in their sex ed course. We were informed of the content beforehand and then discussed it together when they came home.

I believe this moral decline in the public school system was greatly accelerated in that horrid time period I refer to as "the last eight years." The damage Clinton has done to this nation's honor will never fully be realized.

I'm sure everyone has heard how the Catholic church found homosexual activity but instead of eliminating the molesters from the church, simply transfered them.

A teacher in NY was accused and confessed to being guilty of the same thing. He resigned, and left the state with a letter of recommendation from the school district. That was the agreement. Because this man still has his teaching licence, and a wonderful letter of recommendation, where is he now?

If this can happen in a house of God, imagine what's going on in the liberal public schools, where it's protected by the federal government! Where Planned Parenthood and GLADD are welcome to teach the children at their own discretion and with the schools blessings and endorsements.

For the love of God, get your children and grandchildren out of the public school system. It's time to accept the truth of what's really happening to them. It's your fault if anything happens to them. They need you. They can't raise themselves or go it alone.

Maybe because some people understand the definition of Breaking News and some don't.

specifically re the high known ineffectiveness of male lates condoms

I'll assume that his was supposed to say "of male latex condoms", though I never knew they had a gender per se.

The assertion that condoms frequently fail, either to prevent pregnancy or disease transmission is based on faulty information. Condoms are tested and have repeatedly proven to be quite strong and reliable. The statistics regarding pregnancies and transmission of diseases from condom "failures" are generated in large part by people who do not wish to admit that they were in fact NOT using a condom when they got pregnant/infected.

Amen, Sister!
It's crossed the line from being a "choice" that concerned parents can make, like say between wearing the Navy or Maroon shirt; no, it's the difference between feeding your child strychnine or feeding them a banana. Public School as a whole has become another outpost of Hell and parents are as deceived as their children in the government schools if they think otherwise.
When, oh WHEN will parents (especially religious parents) wake up and smell the fall out? PULL YOUR KIDS OUT IF YOU CAN! If you know someone who wants to but can't, have your church take them on, but for their soul's sake, GET THEM OUT.

My sister is married to a priest and they have their kids in govt. schools. They seem to think they're good enough to keep the kids in. No matter how many articles from FR I have sent to her, she still turns the other way. She also feels that her kids need to know how to live in the real world. Like homeschooled kids don't know how? It really makes me want to shake the you know what out of some people and tell them to get a clue. Homeschooling is not good enough for people like her. I know it's not for everyone but there are alternatives to govt. schooling.

It's the lazy way to parent. Throw them on the bus, and mommy is free for the day. Some mothers just don't want the burden of raising their own kids. Let the school have them. It's ok, they just won't look.
They know what's going on, but ignore it for selfish reasons.
