The problem can be distilled down to this: many psychologists who work under contract for dioceses and religious orders hold beliefs that differ, sometimes markedly, from the beliefs of mature, orthodox Catholics (even if sometimes these screeners are nominal Catholics themselves). Therefore they often fail to be objective in their evaluation of seminary applicants, using their own idiosyncratic belief system as the standard by which to judge an applicant’s suitability for the priesthood.

In other words they are Liberals.

According to Detroit priest Father Eduard Perrone, the “porno flicks” were shown at the seminary as part of a class on morality. “They showed a man masturbating, a woman masturbating, couples copulating, homosexuals humping,” he recalled.

Imagine watching porno flicks in a seminary, instead of reading the bible or praying. This is really hard to believe.

These characters have been worming their way into positions of trust and authority for decades.

The entire 'liberal' 'MO' seems to utilize a language of double-speak where words mean something close to the opposite of what is customary.

The gole is fairly clear: undermine all institutions that they do not or cannot control!

After the old, 'bad' organizations and 'restrictive' traditions have been swept away,
these 'wise & caring' people, will, for our own good,
"...set up their moral climates, and dole out goodness to everyone..."

There are too many liberal kooks in general on just about all of the relevant diocesan committees making decisions on Catholic life. You have to ask the question - who is involved in selecting anti-Catholic kooks to make decisions for the Church? Hmmmmm... An interesting question indeed.

One of the worst areas for this kind of mischief is this absurdly post-Vatican II concocted pre-Cana marriage prep industry, usually featuring ex-nuns and ex-priests who just can't stop babbling about sex and psychobabble.

Several Detroit-area priests recalled the widespread homosexual promiscuity during the 1980s at St. John’s Provincial Seminary in Plymouth, Michigan. They described their seminary as a “veritable hothouse” for the gay subculture. Said one of the priests: “Everyone there knew what was going on. There were visits at night as gay seminarians cruised from room to room.” Little effort was made to hide either the sexual orientation or the homosexual activity of the seminarians at St. John’s, and, he added, “it was not uncommon to see seminarians acting out in a fairly public setting.”

The promiscuous homosexual bathhouse scene was getting a little tired. Good to see things perked up in the seminaries of the Church of Sodom.

You've got that spot on! Who indeed. Did you ever read the supposed Memoirs of an Anti-Apostle? When I see things like this and your observation, I think the answer must be in such anti-apostles inserted into the Catholic Church by the Soviets.

As one of the faithful, I endured this.

When making a moral decision . . . ultimately it is the individual’s conscience which must be his or her guide. A Catholic may in good conscience make a decision not in total agreement with Church teaching and still remain within the Church if they do not deny any point of divine and Catholic faith and do not reject the teaching authority of the Church. An example of this is the millions of American Catholics who have decided on a moral stance different from the teaching of the Church and use artificial means of birth control, yet remain Catholics in good standing.

This in a nutshell explains why the last two generations of Catholics have NO CLUE about the actual teachings of the Church. They have been fed this bilge by the liberals schooled at the Theology programs of Notre Dame, Boston College, St. Bonaventure etc. who have been running parish Religious Ed. programs. Thankfully there are many orthodox priests who are now coming of an age where THEY are in charge of Diocesan Relig. Ed. and are getting rid of the feminazi nuns and AmChurch type libs who have been running these programs for years. They are hiring folks from places like The Franciscan Univ. of Steubenville who are being taught the truth of Catholic teachings and are on fire to bring it to parishes around the country.

So even though many are in pain right now, I see some good ultimately coming from this.

Well of course the sin of Sodom was "inhospitality." It's very inhospitable to bugger your guests.

Good news! I was in both "Borders" and "Barnes and Noble" today and both are carrying "Goodbye! Good Men" in hardcover. Unfortunately, they were in the Christianity section and not in the front of the store. So... I took a bunch of them in both stores and moved them up to the front racks... then, I put the remaining copies of Goodbye! at eye level in the Christianity section (well, eye level if you are 5'2") - they had been on the bottom shelf because they were filed alpha.

The way things are going in the Church if we wait a few more weeks there won't be to many Bishops left.

What is amazing is that Law is still in the job as Archbishop of the Boston Diocese.

The only answer is to purge and purify the Church of all the Homosexuals and any other perps.as well.

Dr. David J. Brown, a clinical psychologist who screens candidates for the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown, is a case in point—if only because he has never been shy about broadcasting his opinions and beliefs. Brown has gone out of his way to make the case that homosexuality is “perfectly normal.” Brown has argued publicly in many instances that “the sin of Sodom was inhospitality,” and that “homosexuality is natural, not unnatural.”

Testifying before the public school board in State College, Brown argued on spiritual grounds

Excellent piece from Rose.

I was at one of these meetings in State College (only 3 Catholics and 5 Baptists showed up at meeting, to present the Christian view, versus over 200 homosexual sympathizers or activists), but not one where Brown spoke. Bishop Adamec never spoke out against the inclusion of homosexuality as a civil right and his priests in State College ardently supported it. When the laity took out paid ads to present the Catechism sections dealing with homosexuality as well as Cardinal Ratzinger's statements, the diocesan spokesperson and the ranking priest on campus published a letter to the editor saying we did not speak in any official capacity, we took it all out of context, and to see the definitive Church teaching, see Always Our Children!

We are working on exposing coverups here too. And Michael Rose is speaking here in three weeks. We're posting billboards all over this diocese. We didn't have one close enough to the bishop's offices, so the billboard company is building a new one for us.

We're not stopping till this bishop is removed.

Actually, Pre-Cana began in the pre-Vatican era, and is a minimal, one afternoon session touching briefly on sex, finances, Church teaching on marriage.

Of much more value is the assignment of a couple to an already-married couple, who meets with them three-five times and uses a questionnaire filled out by the couple as the basis for discussion. My wife and I do this, and it has been positive for every couple in some way.

Don't you agree that some kind of marriage preparation is valuable, and that it ought to include some folks other than the priest?

In theory, bishops serve at the Pope's pleasure, and can be removed if he so decides. In practice, removal is rare and only takes place after a very lengthy investigative process.

The particular African bishop you are speaking about is said to be living in Rome near the Pope, after having been persuaded by the Pope to return to the Church. Apparently he was so powerfully affected by meeting with the Pope personally that he underwent a kind of conversion experience.
