A Few of FR's Finest..... ......Every Day
FR is a Treasure Trove of talented, compassionate, patriotic, wonderful people who gather every day to discuss the latest news and issues; salute and support our military and our leaders; tell a few jokes; learn a new word; write poetry; pray for those in need; and congratulate those who are deserving. Thank you, Jim Robinson, for giving us the vehicle in which we can express ourselves.
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. I can remember lurking when there were only a few regulars who posted, and now there are over 60,000 who have registered for posting privileges. The forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.

A Few of FR's Finest November 11, 2001
So many people have written me since my original Veteran's Day Tribute, asking how they, or a loved one, could be included in that tribute. Since I can no longer add the photos to the body of the thread, I've been including them in additional posts as I received enough to make another collage.
Still that doesn't seem to be enough. I think there's never been a better nor more appropriate time to keep the faces of our own Veterans and Active Military in front of FReepers--every day! That's why I wanted to do yet another Daily Thread .....ABOUT FReepers .....and FOR FReepers. But not only about our Military FReepers; for all FReepers! Wouldn't it be nice to get to know a few of the other FReepers as well? That's why, in addition to seeing FR's Finest Military Personnel every day, I thought it might be fun to feature a different FReeper (or FReepers) each day. If you would like to be pictured, or know someone who would, please FReepmail me and we'll turn the spotlight - on YOU - for the day!
And do let me know if you'd like your picture added to the groups of Veterans/Active Military below. I will keep this page updated, and continue to add them to the comment section of the original Veteran's Day thread as well.

~ ~ FREEDOM'S WORTH IT ! ! ! ~ ~ by LadyX
Those early colonists who established the concept of a land free from England's harsh and restrictive rule surely kept that cry in mind!
From Lexington to Concord - from Trenton to Valley Forge - Charleston to Savannah, and echoing in the halls in Philadephia where the Continental Congress was shaped; men who crafted the birth of a Republic kept the idea foremost in their minds.
More than 200 years later, we still repeat the cry; America a bright and shining star among the nations of the world.
One of our Free Republic members chose that screen name to denote her own beliefs - that a nation dedicated to God and His principles could grow and prosper.
It is with enormous pride that today we present and honor our very own Freedom'sWorthIt !!!
Freedom'sWorthIt
Member since August 7, 1998
Knowing of my long association with Freedom'sWorth it, Billie asked for my help with the lead-in. Nothing could please me more, being privileged to meet in her in person in November 1998. In Charlotte, North Carolina we had a gathering of CAROLINA Freepers, FWI traveling from Raleigh, NC and I from South Carolina to attend.
Our friendship grew and deepened through e-mail and Freep mail, both of us Christian and committed to promoting a conservative America.
She was among those who attended the 1998 March of Justice in Washington, D.C. She is one of THE most compassionate, passionate and well-spoken among our many Freepers. Her expressions on a broad range of subjects are without fail from the heart and beautifully articulated.
It is with pleasure that I add first my own recognition to you, Freedom'sWorthIt!
My thanks to you, LadyX, for being our Guest Writer today; I knew you would do a beautiful tribute, for I've seen the expressive way you have with words. You know that you'll be called upon again!
My thanks to you, FWI, for all that you do and all that you are.....you are truly one of FR's Finest, and I hope you enjoy your day in the !

Thanks for sharing some pictures from your state!
It's not the only state I have never visited, but there aren't many.... North Carolina is just lovely!
To: LadyX
Thank you for those kinds words this morning.
ROM 1:16a I am not ashamed of the Gospel...
To: Billie; LadyX; Freedom'sWorthIt; In Chiefs Honor
The thing I admire most about Freedom'sWorthIt is her sensitivity and caring for others. A good example of this was in the thread about the death of Mr. Chief Negotiator and support of his wife, Chief's Honor. You are a wonderful compassionate, yet supportive, person, Freedom'sWorthIt. May God continue to bless you in all your undertakings.
For everyone's reference, here is that thread:
Who Here Has Lost a Spouse - How Did You Get Through This Experience?
Some very touching testimonials there. Treat yourself and read it!
To: Diver Dave; lodwick; HiJinx; Billie; Freedom'sWorthIt; whoever; WVNan
Aren't we fortunate to be able to use the Gospel openly, and be among so many of those who appreciate and proclaim it?
Thanks be to the God of our nation!

LOL - that's right - you KNOW about Emerald Isle, NC - but shhhusshhh - we can't tell anyone.....keep it as hush hush as we can. Too nice a place to get too crowded!
LOL - maybe you are under the ocean searching for those pirate ship treasures????
To: Salvation; COB1; LadyX
Oh - Salvation - well that was a time of sadness for many, especially for those who knew ChiefNegotiator. The loss of a spouse is one of the hardest things to endure. We have wonderful Freepers who contributed to that thread and who are beautiful witnesses to the power of God in their lives to help them through such terrible troubles! I just asked the questions.
To: mtngrl@vrwc
These pictures of NC have been beautiful and North Carolina is one of God's lovely places in this country. One of these days - I will see California - and you will see North Carolina!!!!

Congratulations to FWI.....you are truly one of our Finest and most eloquent Freepers!
Kudos to Lady X for her beautiful introduction!
And special thanks to Billie for creating this wonderful thread which helps us learn more about other Freepers!
To: Freedom'sWorthIt
Sweet lady, I'm sorry that I haven't been around to celebrate your day like I would have liked to have been.
Sometimes work interferes with druthers. I have to gather up to go home tomorrow from the jobsite, but I want to wish you a very happy evening.
May the Good Lord bless you for all that you do.

LadyX you are a terrific hostess. God Bless You!!! (((HUG)))
To: COB1
Dear Coby - thank you for your kind words - and, yes, work does interfere, doesn't it? I trust your work has been successful and know you go home to a welcome respit. Take care and Blessings back to you!
To: LadyX; Freedom'sWorthIt
What a wonderful tribute to one of FR's best, LadyX. Thank you!
FWI, I have "only just begun" to get to know you, but I am truly honored to be your friend. Your posts, Psalms, and passion just fire me up and inspire me, and you are the epitome of a patriot, in my book. You are a perfect choice for this tribute, and I enthusiastically add my praises to the over 300 already posted. What a terrific lady you are, Freedom! Enjoy your day in the sun!
To: JulieRNR21; LadyX; ValerieUSA; mtngrl@vrwc
Julie - welcome - thanks for stopping by. I love the Eagle - Freedom!
Thanks also for the kind words. Here is a "kind" picture to go with them from the hills of North Carolina - and this was one I took long ago with an old camera.
To: marylina; SassyMom
Very glad you could drop by - and thanks for the kind words and for that lovely graphic, marylina! Just for that you get this picture (of several years ago - taken by my own hand with an old 35 mm camera) of a lovely deer - or is it a doe - from the hill country of NC! (Doe a deer, a female deer.....)
To: JulieRNR21
It was a labor of love any of us could have written, Julie!
She is one special lady.
