My girlfriend has a friend in Washington State, who is a bit odd, Christian, home school type. While they are not not the normal standard people the government would like us to me, she assures me that they are in fact good people who love their children. The also adopted a couple of children from Ethiopia. One of those children died under strange circumstances, so naturally it was investigated. That is perfectly understandable. It turns out that the child had some sort of tropical malady that led to rapid weight loss loss, erratic behavior and an untimely death. Now this...

When Linda Evans announced that she would get no more parts because she was an outspoken conservative, National Review charged in to defend Hollywood against any charges of discrimination. Nobody gets more excited defending the left than respectable conservatives do. The fact is that a Marxist MUST hire only his own kind. Lenin never had to do a day?s work. Revolution was a full-time job, and revolutionaries were REQUIRED to marry for money when the Party needed it. It is amazing what little even those who talk about ?a Marxist analysis? know about Marxism. Marxism states as it first principle...

Lake County Schools Superintendent Susan Moxley said that Jerry Buell "clearly crosses the line" with his religious classroom communication. In a directive released Tuesday, Moxley said Buell's religious language on a class syllabus and school Web page raised "serious concerns." Buell, a social-studies teacher, was allowed to return to his Mount Dora classroom after a weeklong investigation into anti-gay Facebook posts, but the controversy surrounding his religious classroom language is still triggering concern.

2011-09-05 Johannesburg High Court - House arrest is the only, and most appropriate sentence for the murderer of a Diepsloot Catholic priest, a prisons officer told the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria on Monday. also: four catholic priests murdered in SA in 2011: http://censorbugbear-reports.blogspot.com/2009/12/four-catholic-priests-murdered-in-sa-in.html The self-confessed killer had a prison official testifying on his behalf for leniency of sentence. Ayatolla Matseke told the court that imprisonment "could impact negatively on self-confessed killer Nelson Kabelo Malope, 20." In July, Malope was arrested and admitted he murdered Father Louis Blondel, 70, in 2009 in a brutal attack which also targetted fellow-priest...

  • SAfrica: Black farmers sell farms back to whites

JOHANNESBURG -- South Africa's minister of land reform says black farmers have resold nearly 30 percent of the white farmland bought for them by the government - often back to the previous white owners. Minister Gugile Nkwinti announced the startling indicator of failure at Wednesday's launch of a long-delayed government policy paper to revitalize plans to more equitably distribute agricultural land, redressing historical wrongs. Seventeen years after white minority rule ended, the vast majority of agricultural land remains in the hands of some 40,000 white commercial farmers. Nkwinti said the government had bought 7 percent of the country's commercial farmland...

We all realize that the primary campaign for the nomination is very different from the electoral campaign. That is one of the first rules one learns in politics. But the big lesson is, with most people the lesson stops right there. A Mantra Thinker will START with a rule in one area, and test it out in other areas. As soon as you start doing this you realize that a rule set is critical in others. One of the major reasons potentially successful movements fail is because the way its adherents choose the people they will pay attention to is...

I was listening to a story on NPR this morning. The story that caught my ear was about a small farm in Alabama that was going out of business. The reason given; they couldn't get any illegal aliens to work cheap due to Alabama's new immigration law. The gist of the story was we need more non-Whites to help the economy. Well last time I checked Alabama has plenty of non-Whites who were born there and more than half of them under the age of 25 are unemployed. Or better yet, back when I was a young man in Kentucky...

Republican presidential candidate Texas Gov. Rick Perry visits the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines, Iowa, Monday, Aug. 15, 2011, where Perry spoke of "that big black cloud that hangs over America -- that debt, that is so monstrous." (AP Photo/Charles Dharapak) Any incumbent wants to define his opponent before the opponent defines himself. The Obama campaign seems intent on painting Rick Perry as a Southern white racist -- a tired line of attack that is angering conservatives and inspiring them to rally behind Perry.

I've just been here a few days but I want to tell you I love this site. It is the best source of news, analysis, and intelligent discussion that I've found on the net. I do have one question. Why do we allow the Liberals to get away with using the term "Progressive". I just saw this come up on a thread and I figured I'd be hijacking a perfectly good thread to get an answer or I'd get no answers at all. Anyway the liberals love to call themselves "Progressives", why doesn't anyone ever ask what they are trying...
