Oh the soft bigotry of low expectations. What has Obama DONE or than to be born with brown skin? He's 1/2 white and Oprah's favorite and therefore is qualified to be deemed a "leader"? What has he lead? WHO is he?

While our nation has been at war for the past 3 years, nearly the same amount of time this scandal has been in play, our President has been slandered and his administration's credibility has been diminished, ultimately diminishing the credibility of the U.S.

And what did this former "warrior" do? He stayed quiet, sneaky, avoided the question and refused to engage. And to what do we owe him? Perhaps a protracted war and murdered soldiers because "Bush Lied" and he did nothing but stand by in the safety of the shadows that are so bravely--with tremendous sacrifice-- provided to him by our military men/women. When the opportunity (and there were many) arose for him to stand up, he stood down.

So Armitage didn't like Libby or Rove or war. So what. He has shown his courage to be lacking and his integrity to be zilch. And for that America has suffered.

Warrior? What does it say about a man who cares more about his hide, than about his nation?

    Disgusting. And Powell too. spit...

Apologize for winning? No way. Apologize for freeing millions? No way. For helping create a democracy? No way. For saving people from mass graves? No way. For getting rid of a sadistic tyrant? No way.

Frankly, I'm tired of this mantra from the losing Left that we're losing when we are hitting some pretty high milestones in Iraq. Every time they say we've botched the Iraq war or we can't win I cringe and think about how our soldiers must fee and what they must think--it's not in the abstract when they say we're losing--they may as well say the SOLDIERS ARE LOSING. grrrr!

They're nervous now because victory in Iraq is on the horizon, just around the corner and so are the 2006 elections.

Sorry, but you need to get your facts straight...he's a reservist. Parsing words here and choosing to believe the worse sounds very much like the liberals we face in the media every darn second of the day.

Quite frankly, if the woman wants to call the former marine a coward, so be it. Because he once was brave, does not make him so now.

This is all a campaign orchestrated by the victocrats--the John Kerry "this is about me Swift Boat" analogy says it right there. There were no personal attacks and if there were, so what? Repubs apologize too much.

I get that you're trying to take the high road, but this is life and death and it's not the time to pussyfoot around and worry about hurt feelings when people are DYING. It just shows what babies the dems are--they can dish it out, but they can't take it. And if they whine enough the Repubs will apologize and appease. That's the real shame. Sticks and stones...you know...

Boy, the adminstration sure is making Wilson afraid to speak out. Gosh, tell us Mr. Wilson, what do you really want to say? Every time I hear a lib talk about how they're not allowed to talk I have to laugh. What the heck are they doing then when they're doing what we as humans refer to as "talking"? They are so completely out of touch. Sad really.

I think that is a good hypothesis...one has to wonder, WHERE DID THEY GO?? I've been wondering it and frustrated with the hit the adminstration is taking.

The MSM is really dropping the ball on this and it shows they're just lazy--they'll only investigate when it's in their interest. For being suspicious of the current admin, they sure do trust them on this issue re: "I guess we were wrong..."

Reid: "Henry Saad Would Have Been Filibustered Anyway ... From the article: "Rumsfeld, of course, has never served in combat himself."

Why "of course"? Don't get it. Oh, of course this is another anti-Bush article/publication.

And then some more snide: On the way out, the defense secretary said, in parting: "I want you to know that I love soldiers and I care about soldiers. All of us here do." Well, one would hope so. [emphasis added]

Excerpt: “Besides talking to people, I get a tremendous amount of e-mail from people in the military and in the Pentagon who read my column and react to it,” he replied. “They are concerned. What I'm hearing is that 99% of these readers are 100% in favor of what I am writing, and ask me to keep at it. Unfortunately, if I am right, the military is in a lot of trouble.” [emphasis added]

This is a typical myopic response, that because the majority of my 2 emails are in favor of what I'm writing, the rest of the military is too. I'm on to something...

What was the point of this article? To praise the writer or to help the military? Sounds like a little gloating and self-glorication. I could be wrong. But I do know, you can't trust E&P with the truth or accuracy of a POV.

    Loved the movie.

Good post. I appreciate it because it reflects the sentiments of this household.

These whiners, by their conduct and complaints, play into the Liberal theory that Bush is an idiot, arrogant, clueless, etc. They've basically validated the Lib complaints. I say, let's see what the facts are first, not what they believe to be the "facts". They sound a great deal like MOVEON.ORG--let's rant before we have the facts.

They've shown that the Lib/Conservative mindset is really just a different side of the same coin.

    Shame on them.

The fact that he has a media campaign says a lot-- it says he's after his 15. If he's a c-objector, then why the HECK did he sign up for the military? He's a fraud and a pub whore.

I'm glad he's not "fighting" because how many of his fellow soldiers would he get killed?
  • So Who Is Right in Debate on Role of Global Warming?

    09/23/2005 11:56:51 PM PDT · 15 of 82
    ElderEdda to Crackingham
After all, one of the clearest signals that human actions have pushed recent warming beyond natural cycles is a measured buildup of heat in the world's oceans, and oceanic heat is the fuel that powers hurricanes.

Says WHO?? This is based on what? Could it be the numerous oceanic volcanos and hydrothermal vents heating up the oceans?

This is what is troublesome about the enviro-industrial-complex -- they conjur up "facts" to support their agenda which is not really saving the earth, but filling their coffers with plenty of dough. (Michael Crichton's book, State of Fear, tells a great tale of this)

There are legit concerns like pollution, overfishing, etc and all the focus on Global Warming assumptions doesn't really help us solve the real problems we face.

And, I don't doubt that we're in the midst of climate change, perhaps another Ice Age, but why not plan how to survive in an Ice Age rather than stop it? That's too forward thinking perhaps.
