WASHINGTON - FOX 5 has confirmed that multi-agency law enforcement activity is taking place in the D.C. region this morning. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are working with other federal law enforcement agencies, along with state and local authorities, in the Washington D.C. area. We have learned that some of the police presence is in Prince William County, Virginia. At this time, exact locations of activity have not been released nor have the nature of the operations. At least 42 suspects were arrested in during a sting targeting human and sex trafficking in Memphis, Tennessee, police said. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, in a release, said that 38 men and four women were arrested, which included “eight men responding to the ads tried to buy sex from a minor.” Meanwhile, “those arrested include a medical professional, engineers, a law student, a tow truck driver and construction workers,” the TBI added. Two juvenile female victims of human trafficking were also recovered in the sting and were referred to the Department of Children’s Services.

I just heard from a friend who lives in the area east of Houston, Texas. His granddaughter works for a pipe manufacturing company in that area which laid off about two hundred workers last year. Two days after President Trump signed the pipeline executive order the company hired back all of the employees (their maximum capacity) and the company's production schedule is already filled through June with orders related to pipeline construction.

A campus police officer shot a student Wednesday during a confrontation witnessed by dozens of other students at a Nevada high school, according to authorities.

A lockdown is in effect at the ExxonMobile refinery in Baytown after a security breach. Company officials say around 7:30am, a person went inside the plant without permission. "We take matters of this nature very seriously and are working closely with Baytown Police Department," says Todd Spitler, spokesman for Exxon Mobil.

A dear friend of ours has been hospitalized and had emergency surgery this morning. The doctors removed the muscle of his right forearm and most of the tissue around his left hip. They say that he will not be able to use the fingers of his right hand and that he will not walk again. They say the disease will remain in his system for up to six weeks, so his ordeal is far from over. Please pray for him. He is a very, very good and kind man. humblegunner has been in the hospital since last Wednesday, October 3. He has been extremely ill and today, after four days of antibiotics and the removal of a large amount of fluid from the area surrounding his right lung, he is finally beginning to feel better. His doctors have said that he will be hospitalized for several more days.

Fox News is reporting that a New Jersey elementary school is in lockdown after a teacher opened an envelope containing a substance which made her ill. She was taken to a local emergency room which is now quarantined.
